Fast Charlie (2023)
Pierce Brosnan, as always, kills it - literally and figurative
Pierce Brosnan, as always, kills it - literally and figuratively. He's playing this ageing hitman, Charlie Swift, and it's cool to see him in this kind of gritty role. Brosnan and Phillip Noyce teaming up is like a dream for action movie buffs. Noyce has this slick way of directing that keeps you hooked, and Brosnan? Well, he's just got that natural bad-ass vibe. The whole movie feels like a modern Western. Brosnan's like this lone wolf coming into town for revenge, and there's even a saloon showdown. The script, penned by Richard Wenk, is tight, with just the right mix of action, character depth, and some good laughs too. And Brosnan, man, he can say so much without saying anything - just a look, and you know what's up. It's got all the good stuff - action, heart, and humor. If you're into old-school thrillers, you've gotta check this one out. All class.
