Cosmos (2019)
The Geeks Shall Inherit the Cosmos
Loved the film, but I am a bit of an amateur astronomer. There are some bits that are drawn out and I know that the establishment of the characters, in the first hour is somewhat torturous and mangled. That said the story is great.
Mrs. Brown's Boys: The Original Series (2002)
Talentless Dross
Full on prole feed. An outright cornucopia, of outdated stereotypes, scripts and characters.
The fact that the BBC has commissioned, two specials, for Christmas 2021, should be reason enough, for the TV licence, to be done away with.
APB (2017)
Has Promise but....
Interesting premise, about a privately run Police service in Chicago, with unlimited financial resources and bleeding edge tech.
Downside, it doesn't examine the moral implications of the scenario and fails to probe the legality of the technology.
Justin Kirk, carries his role with some success, but in the long run, as a result of the script, Gideon Reeves ends up as a knock off Tony Stark.
That said, the show is good for a bit of escapism.
The Vatican Exorcisms (2013)
Dull,dull, dull, dull,dull!!
Honestly, lots and lots, of very blurred shots, of what I can only describe as some of the most boring "possessed" people. Has the Devil got nothing better to do than inhabit the mentally ill and the old?
Code Black (2015)
Cancelled - Damn you CBS
I have just found out the show was cancelled in 2018, I am horrified. CBS should consider their audiences abroad (England), that prefer programmes that are a little more cerebral, than the prole feed, that is more easily consumed within the domestic market. For the love of God, look at the figures outside the US and stop cancelling the good stuff.
