Put into context
10 February 2020
I've always been a fan of WW2 stories. From those of simple people to those of the main actors. The documentary shows somehow that Hitler was in fact one of the sanest people in the entire Inner Circle and those around him were way more crazy and psychically unbalanced.

Not that I'm getting closer to my 40s, understanding the young age of the main architects of Nazism makes me understand better what were the driving forces behind all these men.

I mean, Goebbels, Himmler, they were 25 yo when they joined the Nazi Party. By the age of 35 they were ruling Germany, Goebbels was 35 when he was appointed Chief of Propaganda Ministry, in charge with German Cultural Life. Himmler had an entire army of SS just for him before he turned 40. Reinhard Heydrich was under 40 when he proposed the final solution.

It's like, wow! for me! when I was 25 I was just drinking, having fun, this sorts fo things and even today, at 37 I still think that these political things and decisions are for really grown ups, like 50+ people.

So when you think that some kids actually invented Nazism, the things appear really differently.

Utterly stupid
11 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
You can go up to 36000 feet dressed only with a summer coat and no gloves and still not getting frost bite and dying of hypotermia. You can launch pigeons at 23000 ft and still flight. You loose weight by throwing your clothes. As a scientist, you forget about recording data once in the balloon and you want to bang the pilot. Utterly stupid! And of course, a crazy lady who wants to jump from the balloon because why not?

Probably 2nd worse movie this year after "Cats"

Beautiful performance from the actors.
30 December 2019
I won't discuss the seasons, people have already spoken: first two seasons good, last two not so. However, the actors were superb. I enjoyed particullary the performances of John Smith and Kido, then Tagomi-san and Childan. Juliana was good in S1 but then slowley died, she was killed by the screenplay.

How the screenplay can ruin a movie
19 September 2019
I went to see Ad Asta yesterday evening. After the superb images in Gravity or Interstellar, I was curious to see what 2019 brings. I wasn't disappointed, the movie is very well shot, the Space images are well made, deep sky, the Planets, the Moon, really nice.

However, I think the movie was ruined by its screenplay which lacks of coherence. The story is really weak and undeveloped. There are many fractures in the reality of space travelling,

You almost have the feeling that the screenplay was written to have a support for the images, nothing more.

So yeah, I give this movie a 6 and I'm sad to see how a possible epic movie is ruined by a weak screenplay.

Pathetic plot & Utterly boring
13 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is ridiculous and utterly boring from the beginning to the end. Starting with the pathetic relationship between "My Lady" and his husband (really, after 20 years of marriage you have urging needs of getting laid like an adolescent, for two days so you need to prior declare this before?) Than...a judge, having thousands and thousands of cases judged, suddenly has a weakness so she decides to get into a bizarre relation with a crazy kid, blinded by religion.

Overall, the movie is about nothing and if it weren't for the good performance that Emma Thompson put into it I would have gave it a flat 4.

Probably the worst movie I saw in years
1 December 2018
The movie is being advertised in France as being "the best comedy of the year 2018" or "you will die laughing". In fact, I only smiled once. The rest of the people in the theater the same... Otherwise the movie is absolutely boring with an awful screenplay and with some scenes that could easily candidate to the worst moments in French Cinematography.
