I've always been a fan of WW2 stories. From those of simple people to those of the main actors. The documentary shows somehow that Hitler was in fact one of the sanest people in the entire Inner Circle and those around him were way more crazy and psychically unbalanced.
Not that I'm getting closer to my 40s, understanding the young age of the main architects of Nazism makes me understand better what were the driving forces behind all these men.
I mean, Goebbels, Himmler, they were 25 yo when they joined the Nazi Party. By the age of 35 they were ruling Germany, Goebbels was 35 when he was appointed Chief of Propaganda Ministry, in charge with German Cultural Life. Himmler had an entire army of SS just for him before he turned 40. Reinhard Heydrich was under 40 when he proposed the final solution.
It's like, wow! for me! when I was 25 I was just drinking, having fun, this sorts fo things and even today, at 37 I still think that these political things and decisions are for really grown ups, like 50+ people.
So when you think that some kids actually invented Nazism, the things appear really differently.
