A wondrous film with the beauty of nature among cast & crew.
21 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Always at the outset, my thanks to our host #IMDb. It only took several scenes depicting the essence of fire and what man will do under pressure. Pierce Brosnan drew first blood.

Liam Neeson requires in his character portrayal a feeling of redemption for the audience to latch onto as the adventurous and brutal protagonist who survives.

Cast & Crew because of an excellent script allows these seasoned players the enjoyment of camaraderie in the craft. Respect for these portrayals are witnessed with a spirit of universal commonality when the story deals with retribution.

The great outdoors makes this film history a universal action motion picture with virtues wielding a sword against evil. SMIB.

Insulin dependent film lovers will appreciate a story that is well told.

Thank you kindly Martin Scorsese for depicting a vast cast & crew that most people will relate with their lineal descendants that is a rule of law basis in film cultural global universal virtues of being Aware in what you take from a movie as opposed to glorifying those actors who are acting according to the director without attaching a cause needed.

I am a grandfather, lifetime Freemason, researcher, and owner/president of Calson Associates a global media company. My education began in 1955 and later remembered in 1962 recalling the fear in the faces of my parents and family friends resulting from the Cuban Missile Crisis. As a high school student a paper about John F. Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis was well received by a venerable teacher. After about twenty years practicing as an attorney at law my objectives changed forward toward a grateful student in graduate school with my first submission in an academic setting being titled: Silence and Social Power? Freemasonry and Deliberative Democracy in the Nuclear Zone. (2003) My story is not about myths and legends in various parts of Earth or the history of the universe for that matter. At times the philosophical discourse in a film, motion picture, and documentary is an ordering of diverse cultural parts of a worldly process better described as hierarchical yet it is also true that these integral parts of time and space are knotted together in a multi-planetary mindset where Earth is not the only place to-date that has air. We accept our engineered scientific endeavors as opportunities and record them to the beginning of time. Thank you kindly, Kevin M Callihan Sr BBA JD MPA, planet Earth for now.

Entertaining and recreational fun with dialogue, scenes, music, You!
29 May 2023
When you experience players in the various guilds that you may not be in the know about, the fresh instant feeling from this film was a pleasure to read and experience from New York City film events. Not a single trace was ever found. Now that you question one another in relationships, the reality and comedy combine in a good way most of the time.

Writers start most things here. Without respect for the written words in a script or elsewhere, the entertaining aspect of emotional displays is and will forever remain a mystery.

Cast and Crew favorite marks.

I appreciate the opportunity of sharing words.

The Drover's Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson, a story worth telling.
21 February 2023
Exist Wilst Black. Octoroons. And a beautiful story about wildflowers. Mankind and women's rights are wanting of this land needing laws, not a moral compass depicted in 1820 by Leah Purcell, Director and Screenplay, as Molly, and her son, Danny, lovingly portrayed by Malachi Power-Roberts. This story is about the courage and love of a woman in desperate and difficult times.

When you look out over the rivers, the hills, and the far horizon with a profound sense of your own littleness in the vast scheme of things, and yet have faith, hope, and courage - which is the root of every virtue. When you know that down in your heart every person is as noble, as vile, as divine, as diabolic, and as lonely as their own self, and seeks to know, to forgive, and to love your fellow humans.

When you know how to sympathize with people in their sorrows, yea, even in their sins - knowing that each person fights a hard fight against many odds. When you have learned how to make friends and to keep them, and above all how to keep friends with yourself. When you love flowers, can hunt the birds without a gun, and feel the thrill of an old forgotten joy, when you hear the laugh of a little child.

When you can be happy and high-minded amid the meaner drudgeries of life. When star-crowned trees, and the glint of sunlight on flowing waters, subdue you like the thought of one much loved and long dead; when no voice of distress reaches your ears in vain, and no hand seeks your aid without response.

What you do for yourself alone will die with you, what you do for others and the world will remain and be immortal. When warranted because of quality of story and significance of filmmakers and actors, I share heartfelt words and incidents of a hateful past with hope.,

BLACK HISTORY MONTH selection from me as a stand out film in my opinion only expressed here hopefully among trusted film lovers. Needed now more than ever before. A global movie addressing pride, bias, prejudice, and discriminating ways of our memories known as truths, love, and relief for those in distress, then and now.

Thank you kindly for the opportunity to write when the film draws emotional responses that should be shared generally among a global audience here at calsonassociates's Reviews & Ratings.2023. SMIB-KMC SR (Scottish Rite)

For the glory of the empire in 2022 and beyond in times to come.
15 November 2022
Thank you kindly for the opportunity to write as a free man who respects the history of mankind.

Academia and the society of filmmakers share a long and correlative history reaching back to the empire when architects and stonemasons built the great cathedrals of Europe.

Masons learned their craft, encompassing geometry, physics, drafting, and related subjects in what I know to be the first schools of engineering. Writers such as David Franzoni, John Logan, and William Nicholson were expressed by director Ridley Scott in a display of one story that can be found in every culture today. Gladiator.

The churches they helped build also became centers of study in theology, art, and music, giving rise today in a universality where arts and sciences flourish today. Some examples for those who consider themselves film lovers.

My words about a movie with entertainment only purposes should help provide the young with the best examples of mankind. As able and ambitious young men continue onward, in tribute to the actors and their families may I continue to write words for the public to view.

A toast to all the cast & crew in what is among so-called epic films to our university brethren:

May we ever be Entered Apprentices to virtue, Fellows of the Craft with knowledge, and Masters of truth and integrity. Connie Nielsen as Lucilla. Russell Crowe as Maximus. Joaquin Phoenix as Commodus. Oliver Reed as Proximo. Richard Harris as Marcus Aurelius. Derek Jacobi as Gracchus. Djimon Hounsou as Juba. And rest of cast and crew credited, uncredited, including but not limited to special editions for the glory of the empire, of course.

We are not experiencing peace in our world at this time. Do we wish to experience purpose in our lives. Calson Associates (Circa 1920) SMIB A good home is worth fighting for to one end alone and that honor is peace and prosperity to all inhabitants of earth in freedom.

Poker Face (2022)
10/10
All living things die.
14 November 2022
Why am I necessary? Where is the greatness today? Where can I look for examples of inspiration and encouragement? A sense that answers lie in a quiet movement that has been evolving for generations is what Poker Face is all about.

It is not political correctness or social upheaval because we all face the inevitable question: do you have a role in an age-old haven of gamblers who have a ritual brotherhood? As realists and loyalists recognizing a greater need for a dedicated teamwork effort moving forward in global media the ideas of mutual trust and support come from family.

Embracing tradition is what you are all about whether you feel it or not. Nothing has been organized and there is no denying that churches, service clubs, and community organizations of all types have declined except for those of us who are wanderers with social fabric in research, filmmaking, and writers who feel what they feel when they write.

I like Russell Crowe.

Thank you kindly for the opportunity to write something important to me and at least one other person who is not concerned with money or fame but is concerned about a quality in life whereby we do have controls in place where religion remains important in one lifetime. SMIB *Winner never takes all. We are all terminal. Brotherly love, truth, and relief is embedded in this film for me and maybe for you.

Einstein and Eddington (2008 TV Movie)

Personal insights and perceptions from a film where a whole new way exists.
9 October 2022
Truth being the center of all the scenes depicting those who are gratefully taught and their venerable teachers who expand on one another's empirical work sets the feelings established among intellectuals set in such a difficult time in history.

The filmmaker follows with scenes that also grasp basic emotive acts of love, loyalty, and human values as the highest principles of reverance, patriotism and charity being founded on Einstein's theory of gravity. The cast & crew celebrates with lives that naturally practice in science all moral, societal and religious considerations that evidence virtues for a receptive audience.

I suggest the impact between a madness of bombs side by side with studies of mankind are in a realm relevant to modern society then at the times denoting a semblance of sanity among men of science in a Royal Society are critical differing opinions where like-minded scientists can transcend a boundary of right resulting in a new theory of gravity.

To portray principles in a script involving brilliant minds makes sense when mutually beneficial, civil society, human rights are expressed in a universal manner this film aptly describes. A meaninful exchange of dialogue, personalization of the characters, and appropriate context mentioned in differing points of view requires the viewer to weigh their conscience with freedoms that are the same regardless of where each individual is located.

Importantly, if the political and/or religious/ethnic associations in pride and bigotry with contempt can ever be understood in human beings who shine with imagination and proof expressed on how and why academia, government, and stakeholders in the film industry sufficiently touch upon the "relativity" of making complex matters simply explained is no different than understanding allegories and symbols this movie hopes to cultivate in our universal minds.

Thank you kindly for the opportunity to write when my feelings rise to a level where it is deemed important to be loyal to what is equally good for one, should be equally good for another when individuals better themselves in moving forward notwithstanding limited minds who do not see the light and remain in a gray area where humanity does not advance itself from the "open" mind each of us know exists from within based on virtue, knowledge, truth, and integrity this historical drama correctly depicts. *calsonassociates Circa 1920.

Currying favor of one's subjects advocated by history in documented ways.
19 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Even in difficult scenes of evil, there remains a philosophical discourse in this film. A form of motion picture that is also a documentary where there is an ordering of diverse cultural aspects of personalities who join as true and integral parts of time knotted together in a criminal mindset the filmmaker controls.

In an insistent education for a clandestine group who persists with unnatural truths whereby nothing stays the same in the volatile mix of passions, pride, and physical shortages that make up the ruler relationship among the players in this film. The audience should always expect redemption to alleviate their fears expecting new turnings of scenes that attempt to develop the characters portrayed.

Your patience in preventing the mind from judging will rest well in whatever power that is perceived as gained mistakes the actions offensive in nature as portrayed in the storyline set forth while one feels adversity to the conspiracy reflected well in this currying of the favor of one's subjects. Arbus, the character, begins a story of inadequacy.

It may appear surprising to most who do not notice historical important and recurring strategies while remaining loyal to fellow cast members who were once students and later became disgusting results of divided, greedy, undisciplined, disloyal, boastful human beings skulking before the evil enemy engaged in dominating and subservient lifestyles unacceptable to mankind.

Thank you kindly for allowing my chosen words expressing reason why the high rating was afforded for the sake of educating the human mind while respecting film history denoting all faiths with universal truths, love, and relief a system of justice requires. SMIB.

Maybe not legal, but that is the point. Bryan Cranston performs the character of a venerable judge who finds himself using judicially noticed facts and doing so in a manner protecting his son during a freak accident that occurs on the date of death of his late wife and his son's mother.

Universal truths in this film.
29 May 2022
Charity as a school of thought is the distinguishing characteristic of many racial movies where the practice of this virtue most nearly reveals his kinship to God. Fortitude, prudence, temperance, and justice set out among scenes were acted as an act of almsiving that would cease banishing from the world woes of misery and penury that follow them as though they can be replaced with joy.

But the poor always are with us in the global audience and straightened financial circumstances who need our assistance precludes a mindset among the poor in spirit, the despondent, the discouraged who will be heartened and lifted up by the kind and encouraging words in the script as well as the actors and cast who made a winner in this film that applies to all mankind.

Respectful condolences expressed herein. Thank you kindly for the virtues noted in the film, the knowledge of those writers and producers who put it together with integrity and respect aimed at all cultures in global media. SMIB.

Personal insights about virtues, democracy, and a global perspective of justice?
28 May 2022
To protect principles as mutually beneficial in a filmmaking, global civil society way that the meetings of the mind usually set upon agreed values such as the Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, one must consider why the Boer War (1899-1902) was fought. It was between countries of the British Empire and the Boer (mostly Dutch) population of South Africa. As the film notes at the outset, the issues were complex but the truth was the Boers wished to retain their independence from English exceptionalism.

Some film critics consider this story of justice among several who were charged as being an indictment similar to those made in WWII against Germany Nazism. Others in academia, government, and stakeholder interests in capitalism universally believed in key virtues and tenets among Freemasons being the glue holding them together as socia capital in a strong democracy involving participatory dialogues among varied cultures.

The script is important to understand while the culture of an outright victory in Boer territory remained distant due to misunderstandings among the leadership in the British regime. Would this body of thought or philosophy be better to heal a prologue of the past when war attempts to be defined among a Brotherhood of Men? I believe it can and it has already done so from the past to the present in future standards of review for humanitarian interests regarding documentaries.

Thank you kindly for reading initial thoughts regarding a user review of Breaker Morant (1980).

Worthwhile viewing for several original archival sets from George Carlin.
21 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of those documentaries where emotionally the need to write may strike you as well. Several points of interest were noted that generally are touched upon by George Carlin or family and friends interviewed that has been seen before. He does believe in the development of mankind in the last four thousand years as being truly awe-inspiring through his logical progressive levels in personal changes incrementally shown with his public performances. The peak levels of comedic intellectual reasoning skills as an orator solves many difficulties and riddles for the common man. While joking about the individual the broader picture embraces a dark element several colleagues do not necessarily follow. In knowing why 'life is worth losing' a special in 2005 George Carlin expresses his pride in how mankind the bombs and the almighty machines act as a cover-up to a human bankruptcy boasting on stage the power of the human and his knack for hiding human impotence. In the totality of circumstances, his humor rose heads above shoulders of all who were interviewed and settles his name as a pillar of foundation for the comedy historians and powers-that-be in a global media civil society. THANK YOU KINDLY GEORGE CARLIN!

I enjoyed seeing Russell Crowe of Academy Award winning status from his versatile abilities in GLADIATOR. This movie is a "motion picture" and develops characters that can be found in the daily news on a global perspective.

Caren Pistorius, as Rachel, and the protagonist fighting for her family is well done. There are virtues to be found in the film that embraces knowledge of everyone who drives and those who do not.

The integrity and truth was well represented among all the cast & crew, especially the director and writers involved.

Thank you kindly for mixing the good with the evil in human beings. SMIB * I re-watch this often because of the film being a thriller.

Family First in global media supporting Apple Amazon Facebook Google in film
30 April 2022
Fortitude prudence justice and temperance matters most to filmmakers, the cast and crew, and more importantly their families and ours who follow them hoping for a better life somehow inspired from moments of the past put to film with a good story and some better music while focusing on the actors and their characters who are representative of illustrated good and bad in the global media across the internet of 2022 with streaming services available to some but not enough.

I write reviews because I feel something worthy of writing about that has a universal application on all world inhabitants regardless of the country or sovereign or their culture. These are from lessons learned and from those trusted caretakers in academia, the government, and stakeholders who are institutions of learning whether it is a prison population or films reflecting on the lives of those on the inside and outside due to the problems in society growing today especially in the Americas meaning Canada, the states, and South America while central America has the immigration emphasis that is no different than the one between Canada and the states.

For film lovers, Clive Owen as Chris came to me first. James Caan as Leon, as well from days noted in organized crime and The Godfather saga. Billy Crudup as Frank and the champion of blood ties. Marion Cotillard as Monica and a mother perceived as a victim and supporter of the criminal Chris Pierzynski. Mila Kunis as Natalie and an unfortunate lover of Frank showing an unfair race distinction. Zoe Saldana as Vanessa and a mother of a criminal that remains inside prison. Matthias Schoenaerts as Anthony Scarfo as the thug personality inside living on the outside in the way of scene development. Noah Emmerich as Lt. Colon giving a good performance as the good cop supporting another good cop knowing the blood tie dilemma of the importance among families when dealing with criminal justice. Lili Taylor as Marie the supportive sister who gives a better performance for keeping the family together as best she knows how forever helping the father and grandfather of course. Domenick Lombardozzi as Mike the former inmate who stayed loyal to Clive or Chris, the highlighting character in the motion picture film and movie all depicting a stage of theatrical portrayals of a well written script. John Ventimiglia as Valenti and the partner of Frank when his brother blood tie is truly questioned from one cop to many cops. Griffin Dunne as McNally and someone significant in the story that is left for you.

Thank you kindly. When I feel what I feel when it is felt the need to write at times in public online has no fear because it is presented in a just and upright manner if not from a seasoned well-versed film professional. This is with the photo assistance of AMAZON/IMDb for spelling and face recognition of the cast. I hope soon they will place the director and writer face online/IMDb so they may become a part of my review/rating/ranking on the world wide web. The powers-that-be remain with GE, IBM, SONY, WARNER BROS., who came long before the large tech companies making the greedy profits today and during a global pandemic. Good for shareholders that may include me who truly knows? I know and you will as well once you see this film and combine it with INSIDE MAN with Clive Owen. Always remember the years of the film because it often matters on how society reflects. Blood Ties (2013) So Mote It Be. Now machine learning and all makes it modify. They know all that you write.

An interesting and funny expression about Jewish and gentile Book of Job.
29 April 2022
The viewer will find the predicament of Larry as one where nothing could happen good in this film from the Coen brothers who master words and emotions combined so well that you wonder whether or not it is the telling of their history in life. If so, they had a great upbringing.

The plot centers initially on a myth from Jewish tradition and leaps into the 60s with Jimi Hendrix and Jefferson Airplane as bookend songs. A Hebrew education including marijuana, Minnesota, a trip to Canada, and several points about illegal acts and how Larry handles a comical response from those he trusted most, fills out the meat of the matters at hand.

Losing his wife which requires a Jewish "get", a document of declaration from a husband to his wife, permitting ALL men to have her makes the story move forward with a semblance of understanding about how an otherwise unworldly physics professor awaiting tenue has some hurdles to deal with while turning on his Jewish faith for solace in a hoped for meeting with consolation that he does not receive.

All the actors and the crew set out a wholesome story that caused me to feel what I feel and then emotionally write about it after seeing some reasonable global critics who mostly received the film well. A son's Bar Mitzvah, legal expenses, an immoral change of a grade for one of his students whose parent threatens him, together with an unknowing end about his doctor's report with chest x-ray results combine with a naked sunbather, smoking dope for the first time, and his wife apologizing for all the troubles that started with infidelity.

I am focusing on Larry because the story comes from his eyes and mindset when everything goes wrong in life and you wonder how in the world are you going to get by and move forward. When this has happened to you, the feeling of emotion is easier to write about when displayed by two exceptional people: Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, the directors, writers, and producers of a 10 rating film in my opinion. Also, I experienced the Book of Job time in my life.

Thank you kindly for the opportunity to write a review rating films on IMDb/AMAZON. This film was saved to several lists categorized for educational purposes and acknowledging that in the eyes of God, what is the difference. Universal truths are constant that what is true and right is true and right for all notwithstanding your religion affiliation if indeed you have one. SMIB. Loved it! Goy and Jew, alike? We met on the level, and parted on the square. A venerable film for all.
27 April 2022
The attentive ear receives the sound from the instructive tongue, and the mysteries of ancient and accepted universal truths are lodged in the repository of faithful breasts. Cast and crew are at their best. The writer is indeed sublime.

The lapse of time, the ruthless hand of ignorance and the devastations of mankind laid waste to many a life and destroyed many valuable monuments of antiquity on which the utmost exertion of human genius is found and employed by Stephen King.

He came from a venerable teacher and is one of the many who are gratefully taught who will perpetually provide importance to print and film institutions for a very long time. Thank you kindly. This movie makes me feel what I feel when I feel it in the several scenes remembered from the past that keeps you moving forward and beyond with hope. Friendship and camaraderie continues and grows internationally throughout a global pandemic and beyond time in space travels finding the supreme architect of the universe. SMIB.

The historical perspective in Harlem is well known while Godfather of Harlem is yet another series remembered that is kindly suggested. Thank you for another film that is culturally accepted in my world of global media at Calson Associates. I appreciate good movies and write when I feel something worthy of writing about. Andy Garcia and Chi McBride set forth their indifferent and emotional performances as all players combined to bring one of the better organized crime films available today. Queen Latifah shines as well! *Credits appreciated from IMDb as an accurate source for name spellings and faces via photographs of players that are extremely helpful to me.
