Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024– )

Not sure why they continue with "remakes"
19 February 2024
The movie was already not a great moment in cinema, but, at least, it had two great, and charismatic, actors.

Here we get a remake with, close to, no spy stuff at all, but a study of completely boring relationships, with two actors/singers who aren't really good at it, and/or, not well directed.

It's like Hollywood has fallen even lower than fast food. We had McDonald style movies that did their job, like Twister, and Mr& Ms Smith. Wasn't great, but hit the spot.

In 2020+, we can't even have that. Only bad remakes of everything, that are as shallow and flat as an ironing board.

I think humanity hit its limit on art, philosophy and thinking in general, a couple decades ago.

See (2019–2022)

Great series, it stopped at the right time too
26 December 2023
See is really an awesome series, led by great acting, interesting characters and interesting world, even if this last aspect could've been more developed.

It has 3 seasons. The first two are absolute gems, especially the second one, with great character building, awesome acting (to the point if you wonder if Jason Momoa even acts or that's just, like, him) and great villains (evil Queen is about the most despicable character in tv history, along with Geoffrey Baratheon).

The show finds perfect balance between adventure, impossible odds in a very hostile world, and the equality immense love and strength that you can find in a nuclear family (parents & children), a strength that can overcome everything and that can be only mirrored in the opposition between siblings.

The show wrapped up nicely, and at the right time, as it was clearly out of breath/ creativity, regarding the opposition our heroes have to face, with absurd characters behavior, impossible physics and things that just seem to materialize out of thin air. A clear step down from season 1 and, especially, season 2.

The setting is also pretty interesting, a world where the vast majority is blind, for some unknown reason, and sight is punishable by death. We don't know what happened, when it happened, why it happened. And the show limits itself at the classical apocalypse trope, without pressing the question. That world deserved a bit more explanation.

Maybe we'll have another show in the same setting ?

In any case respect to Apple for producing some of the greatest shows of the past years, with great production, great characters, great acting and great story. "See" is up there with "for all mankind", "foundation", "shantaram", "severance" and "silo", even better than a few of them too.

It's interesting, but i have no idea who writes characters nowadays
1 December 2023
It seems that most TV show producers hired the same Gen Z or millenials than mainstream media did and they only know the mindset of california people who have no personality, suffer from some form of anxiety / depression and, more or less, have an insuferrable character.

I don't know what's going on, honestly. Soon we'll have lead characters with a comfort peacock and they'll complain for 20 minutes, on screen, to a starbucks employee because they are out of oat milk. I'm not an American, so I have never witnessed such things, but I can imagine.

The TV show is not bad in the way that the story is good, you learn more about what happened with the monsters and all, the filmography is decent, CGI okay-ish, the scenario ok, but it's kinda ruined by the lead character and the ones around her. It might be because most gen Z actors, besides a few exceptions, seem completely interchangeable, to the point that you could switch one between two episodes, and you wouldn't even notice. It feels like today's acting is like what Kpop is to music or what McDonalds is to food. It's bland, uninspired, unimaginative, and totally forgettable.

It's too bad, because it could be a 10/10 TV show, especially since Apple TV produced a masterpiece like For All Mankind and very good TV shows like Foundation, Silo and severance (all have actual actors as main characters tho) and also because some TV shows starring only Gen Zs are absolute bomb, like the outer banks (pure gold), or even the wilds and yellowjackets (where only a couple characters are annyoing on a total of 20ish).

It's time that millenials / Gen Z TV show writers / employees realize that the vast majority of the world's population doesn't need a therapy animal, doesn't have 10 type of anxieties, isn't unsure of who they are and doesn't have daddy issues.

For that, it would be a good thing to start producing stuff outside of California, so that Netflix, Apple and Amazon aren't an echo chamber of a minority of the population. Kudos to Netflix and Amazon tho for releasing stuff produced in a lot of countries (india, S. Korea, France, Brazil, Spain, etc...), where you can find many quality TV shows with actual decent & likeable characters that you can relate to.

Apocalypto (2006)

One of the most powerful movies ever made
25 September 2023
I watched this movie in theaters in 2006, and I watched it again now, 17 years later.

I don't think that there has been a single movie that stayed imprinted in my mind like this one. The filmography, the sheer violence, the raw power that every shot brings stays with you forever.

The story is simple enough, but the way it is told, isn't. It's a warning, and it's becoming truer by the day.

What seemed like a simple brutal survival story in mesoamerica in 2006, depicts something deeper in 2023 and summarises perfectly what is wrong with humanity and how we are all going crazy, relying on liars and frauds who pretend to read the signs (the sun in the movie), leading Us to our doom, until an unknown threat arrives... threat that will take over.

It's a strong critic of today's society and how it's manipulated by insane people to cater the interests of a very few who will take over soon enough. It shows the disregard for children, for human life, and for every value that makes humans, human.

We are all Jaguar's paw, we have to stay true to our humanity.

It's a good show, the end not that great and out makes one understand why the US are crumbling on the world stage
12 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Well, first of all, Cruz is an athlete, she won all states twice, so, yeah she's supposed to be athletic. I don't know why some people cry at it, but she's supposed to be like a mini Anna Hall so she can score pretty high.

Other than this fact, the show is pretty neat, well acted, it has good filmography and it's gripping. It also shows the limits of the US foreign policy, which is pretty much summarized to "put dictators in place that vamp all the money from their country so that they sell you their resources, and assassinate, no matter how, whomever isn't on your side" it's pretty much the same policy that Europeans, especial French and English had in Africa for centuries.

Needless to see with the current events in Africa, that this way of doing policy is crumbling before the Chinese-BRICS approach. Wagner is replacing every French and US troops with every coup d'État un western Africa and both Iran and Saudis joined the BRICS in the past month, burying the axe of Shia and Sunni. This show depicts a pretty clear situation in how deep of a hole the CIA is and how cornered they are by the US economy, also two thumbs up on the absurdity of putting someone on a hit list when you don't want them to die.

My only gripe is the last episode, because it makes no sense at all. Cruz gets discovered by the groom but he runs on his own with a kitchen knife ? In the very room where she manage to be, all alone with her target ? I mean come on. He would've called his security first, obviously. Well, considering that his security detail has an aim even worse than stormtroopers, maybe it wouldn't have made a difference.

Finally, the dude's a Saudi Prince but nobody seems to give two cent about this type of collateral damage. I guess because he looks down on women or something.

Finally, the whole thing makes no sense because, obviously, they would have a way to contact Cruz, and the secretary would know it, so the whole excuse of "we can't call it off because we can't contact her she has no cell phone" is just not possible.

It seems that the show isn't so much about operational logic but operators mindset and internal struggle, so it slides, but it kind of ruins it a bit.

Might be for young kids or something otherwise it kills too many brain cells
28 August 2023
I don't know if the anime I watched when I was a kid in the 80s were full of absurd, long, plot useless, medical wannabe nonsense like Baki hanma is but, boy, you can watch an entire season in two hours as you better skip through the ridiculous stuff and just watch the fights.

The fights are alright, the animation isn't great or anything, we aren't talking about demon Hunter, jujutsu kaisen or my hero academia, but the style and pace of fights is alright. Everything else you can throw it out. The worst aspect is that they even try to pretend explaining the whole bs by fantasy science and medical stuff. It makes as much sense as someone trying to do a MRI of Sangoku or Kenshiro.

Honestly it's bad, there are a million better anime on crunchyroll or even hidive than this.

Exceptional movie
7 March 2023
This movie is absolutely fantastic and depicts one of the darkest time of South Korea, under the dictature of Chun Doo-hwan who started his political career by a military coup that killed thousands of Koreans and, for which, he never really apologized.

This movie brings all the soul of South Korea and its own struggle between reunification and fear of violence.

The scenario is also very good and well built, I guess people aren't used to watching movies anymore, since pretty much everything is tv shows. But it's logical, well explained and realistic. They could have brought more depth to characters, but, that was hard to pack in a 2 hours length.

In any case, I strongly recommend. Korea might be one of the very few countries that still make movies and TV shows based only on quality, and not political agenda.

Not exactly sure what makes them so stressed out
18 May 2022
The serie is alright, nowhere near the level of Yellowjackets, but watchable.

However, I'm not sure what's Leah's problem, out seems that a whole generation of people, mostly in the US apparently, have so much problems with life, even their life is actually not problematic at all.

They have both their parents, a roof, food, they go to college, they aren't trying to find inventive ways to get enough cash to go cell by. But then, they all suffer from crippling depression.

I guess I was lucky to grow up in the projects, with no cash, no nice things, and not knowing who'd show up in the morning as being shot or arrested was actually a thing. But then, nobody I knew was depressed, or living in a gloomy world or "teenage life is hell". Not everyone made it, but we sure tried.

I'm not sure where the US are going, or the world in general, but people should stop creating their own problems when they are on top of Maslow's pyramid.

It's a solid buddy show like the old buddies cops things about too political
22 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad here, the show is pretty nice overall, Zemo Sam and Bucky have nice acting and very good friendship in the end.

People are seriously wondering why Karlie is doing what she's doing ?? I guess you didn't pay attention to the setting.

Half the population vanished for 5 years thanks to Thanos, Earth became one country, everyone got offered jobs where it was needed and all, everyone was happy, exactly as Thanos said it would be btw.

5 years later everyone comes back, and all the millions who changed country built a life, had a job got told to get out. Same goes for the billions who came back, the world changed, other people live in their homes etc... She just fights for the good of the people.

Now what Sam says at the end is very important too as it's basically what is happening today with his the governments deal with the pandemic, depriving everyone of their rights for the greater good.

Now, I am not American, and non Americans get fed quite a lot of American domestic problems. Yeah we all get it, everyone knows that apartheid was the worst in the States and South Africa, we all see what's going on with your cops and all.

BUT there is over 6 billion people who don't live in your country, Hollywood, so we'd like to be served things that deal with the world as a whole. If not, why not talking about Indian farmers, genocides, civil war, etc that happen all around the world.

It's time Hollywood realizes that the US of A aren't the center of the world. Even if 400 millions people manage to take all the space with over 60% of the world's internet traffic.

Solid 9 for me

Very very nice character development, awesome acting, nice enough story with the right amount of twists.

The yakuza aren't depicted in a nice or competent way but they are criminals after all.

The action sequences are pretty cool too for a non action show.

In the end is the characters who make the show and they are all awesome in their own way, well worth watching.

Of all the TV shows I've seen this year, this one is the one that remains in my memories.

If you haven't lived in a french project, you can't get this. This is the closest thing i've seen to real life.

This might be in the South, but all projects are like this in the old country.

We don't need the wire, nor HBO.

Half the dudes in there aren't even actors, just guys living their daily life on camera.

I, honestly, don't see where the hate comes from ?
27 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hi,

I've just seen this with no real expectation seeing how it was bashed, Patty Jenkins and all, I was ready to witness something worth of Kathleen Kennedy, i.e., abysmal.

But it is not a bad movie at all !!

Actually it's one that we enjoyed very very much at home. Sure, it's not like the typical superhero nonsensical movie where the answer to anything is : MORE POWER. It is a movie about desires vs reality, about morals and how caring for each other is more important than powemongering.

That should speak to anyone, especially with the recent generation of politicians who are a total catastrophe, as well as lying scientists, corporate greed and such.

So, yeah, for once, it's not a movie about a super strong godlike superhero who kicks everyone's ass and just gets stronger whenever she needs to be to overcome bigger and bigger problems with smaller and smaller odds of victory. No, this is a movie where the hero calls upon what makes humans human, this tendency towards being good that is within each and everyone of us, even if some prefer to bury it deep in order to fulfil their desires and urges. It's a movie where, even the bad guy, gives up everything in order to protect his son. Because, what is the point of power, riches and everything if you lose your kid over it ?

So, yeah, of course, wonder woman is a god tier superhero, she's supposed to be kickass like superman or shazam and just destroy anything that is not god tier like Eris or Black Adam, but what would be the point of a 100th movie where the hero just doesn't break a sweat to defeat her problems.

Diana, in this movie, is the anti-Rey, and that's a very good thing.

It was a very good show until the finale
19 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show was absolutely marvelous, with great acting, great camera works, going into very important and sensitive topics without falling into SJW propaganda, while keeping a very interesting story at the same time.

This is no small feat, considering the multiple directions the show went, to be able to make it still very interesting and coherent was pretty hard.

However they botched everything with the ending. I mean, honestly, the whole show presents us with apartheid, women struggles, rich vs poor and everything that was and is still unjust in our time.

But what is the conclusion ? Black people just take their revenge and their youngest turns into a cold blooded murderer supervillain ? That's it ? Aren't they capable of transcending ? Of forgiveness ? Of being above the ones who oppressed them ? No ? You give black people power they just do like what has been done to them ?

Is that the conclusion of the show ? All humans are garbage ? They play for their own team only ? It's impossible to be together and heal ?

This show was a 9/10 until the last 15 minutes, now it's a 5 for acting and camera but 0 for the message.

Really Great show

It's very refreshing to see a big budget show with a nice story, good acting, very nice visuals and not a sex scene forced out of nowhere, every episode.

Finally a show that focuses on the important things !

How to perfectly get the GoT syndrome : Make a great show one season too long and ruin it.
8 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first season defined what it is to be human and how this "singularity" can happen.

Second season defines our search for heaven, our acceptance or refusal of it and what is self determination

Third season is just nonsense after nonsense like a random high $ bad scenario production.

Sure, acting is still good, production value is good but nothing else makes sense : -. Hosts beome bulletproof for no reason,
  • random care share is more armored than a tank.
  • AI that controls the whole world is easier to hack than any random dude's bank account, not to mention that this AI can't predict anything that happens in the end.
  • Security personnel and operators have worse shooting skills than stormtroopers

Dolores is worse than Cercei, it's like ex machina after ex machina, all the time to make her agenda go forward against common sense and any law defined by physics.

Honestly, i loved season 1 more than anything (on par with black sails i'd say), season 2 was really great too, even if it was more spiritual. Season 3 is unwatchable after the first 3 episodes.

This movie spits on 40 years of Star Wars franchise
20 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
There is really nothing much to say here, about everything they make in this movie is absolutely nonsensical and opposite to what Lucas ever built.

Luke's character has been murdered totally, Yoda even worse.

Spaces battles make no sense at all, every decision made by anyone in charge is absurd, from the first scene where the dreadnaught doesn't fire on the ONLY capital ship that the rebellion managed to save after 30 years of ruling (compared to the Endor fleet under the most powerful sith lord reign ever).

If you thought Kylo Ren was ridiculous in episode 7, then oh wow, let the might lord snokes take his place of the most pathetic villain in history. WE HAD PALPATINE BEFORE, my God, how can we go from Palpatine to SNOKE, really ???

Let's not talk about Rey who has a master jedi level of alteration with crazy telekinesis power (remember, Master Yoda, young, fighting count Dooku, two MASTERS have trouble lifting a pillar on geonosis but Rey lifts about 4 tons of rubble without breaking a sweat).

Oh and yeah, of course, Rey and Kylo Ren, in all their mightyness almost get their ass kicked by power rangers versions of imperial guards, yeah ok, makes sense. Those power rangers having gloves that perfectly blocks lightsabers but not the rest of their armor, yeah, mkay, makes sense, very logical.

Also, Disney, this is Star Wars, not Avengers, don't pull a joke every minute... this is plain ridiculous.

well, in any case, i don't know what will happen on Episode 9 but it'll be the first movie that i won't watch in theaters.

To think that reviews top rank this piece of crap is baffling, The same critics that spat on the prequel trilogy that, while it was pretty poor in terms of screenplay and acting, was still a very very logical star wars story. Here we have a plot that has more holes than Gruyère, new characters that are utterly useless, pathetic villains, absurd lead, degenerate generals but yeah, let's praise Disney and Rian Johnson.

Not such a bad movie
23 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Alien : Covenant is quite the return to a real Alien-like movie, with a lead that is almost perfect in being both strong; cunning and fragile at the same time, making her even more human than Ripley was.

The movie itself is enjoyable, their photo director is one of the best in the business, it has some twist compared to the usual Alien franchise as there is more evil than mindless predators. There is plenty of room for doing something really nice in the next opus too.

This movie quite explains in the first 5 minutes why prometheus was such a mess and who was behind it, it is also the real origin of the Aliens.

Furthermore, it seems that most people forgot that in EVERY Alien movie characters make absolute stupid decisions (besides Ripley). This is exactly the same thing here in Covenant.

Some spoilers on old aliens i guess if anyone on Earth manage to not having seen them yet...

OG Alien - Everyone goes alone chasing the queen, leading to all their death. The first dude also stares at a biologic egg for a while who in his/her right mind would do that ? The dinner : You got a guy, with an alien sticked to his face, said alien just dies for no reason, dudes says "hey i'm fine", so, yeah, let's just invite him back to dinner and forgot anything happened, right ?

AlienS - Too many bad decisions to count, between a total useless lieutenant and a corporate monster, 75% of the marines get killed for no reason.

In 3 and 4 people tend to have much better decisions but, surprise, they aren't corporate crews, they are either inmates or mercenaries. All the "corporate dudes" in 3 and 4 are total morons too.

So, yeah, again, in an Alien movie, with a corporate crew, people make bad decisions, big surprise there.

Spoilers here (but very very mild) Also, people complain that they don't send the android scouting alone on the planet... They have only one and he's the only one able to fly the ship unless you want the crew to never sleep.

Why they have only one ? - Because it's probably more expensive than the whole ship; we don't know how much it costs. - Because profit - And, most of all, because in Scott's Aliens, human life is totally worthless, it goes way below a cat's life, for example.

And that's my whole concern with Scott : he HATES humanity. The older he gets the worse it gets.

The whole purpose of prometheus was to show that mankind was worthless, that we were created by and that we created ourselves, much more advanced beings. The precursor dudes destroys Wayland like a 1$ fake barbie doll even tho that person is, probably, the most brilliant mind on Earth. Covenant is just one step further down that rabbit hole.

Which is why, I honestly think Ridley should stop directing Alien, as he is too self destructive. Better leave Denis Villeneuve or Gareth Edwards do the next Alien, it would be much better.

This is a movie disconnected from reality...
27 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Tom Ford's plot could maybe work when described in a dinner party with other fashionistas but it just doesn't make any sense to people who face real problems.

This movie is so empty that i can't review it without spoilers, because the whole movie's plot lies in one sentence.

So, SPOILERS ALERT :

An overly emotional writer gets back at his ex wife (who dumped him and killed their unborn baby), by writing a book that would make her love him like never, inviting her to dinner and not showing at said dinner... That's it.

I mean, seriously, what kind of plot is that ? That guy takes years to plot his evil, elementary school level, revenge. I'm sure he was, like, awake, at 3 am that day and laughing in his bed "hahahah BACK AT YOU, SALLY, eat those spring rolls on your own !!!".

I won't talk about the screenplay which is subpar, the great actors are wasted in their roles (2 of 3 are fictional, OK) : - Jake Gylenhaal : His RL version is OK but his book version makes no sense, he's way too buff to cry like a baby and get both his wife and kid killed by 3 shrimps who weight 40 pounds wet and wearing boots. I mean even Gandhi would've fought back. - Amy Adams : Susan is the typical cliché "rich art girl" who's super intelligent, highly educated, but is a total retard for relationships ? Come on, who in 2016 isn't even able to kick some ass when facing total adultery ???? - Michael Shannon is pretty good but, he's so much the Marlboro man that he ends up with lung cancer but doesn't give a damn because smoking's too cliché for a Texan cop to quit ?

The cinematography is quite poor as well, besides the national geographic's style shots of the Texan desert.

It's not often that i'm baffled with IMDb score but 7.8 for that thing really cost me 2 long hours of boredom. I mean this is worse than the neon demon.

Well this is the real Star Wars, if you know it beyond the canon movies
20 December 2016
This movie is perfect from a star wars fan, especially one familiar with the rpg and the world itself.

Palpatine's reign was no joke, the rebels were few and very, very, outnumbered. They were all brave, skilled, geniuses in a way or another but they were facing the almighty empire, in all its might.

For someone who has read the throng of material that describes how it happens between episode III and IV, the settings is pretty perfect. Everything makes sense, the female lead is perfect in every aspect.

However, this movie has a major flaw for me, it's dark, very very dark. Most of the people who go to a star wars movie expect it to be lighthearted. Lucas himself firmly believed to have all his heroes always survive thrive and mostly kick ass and have fun as it gave people hope.

Disney gave us Rebels and episode 7 which seem to be aimed at little kids, with ridiculous villains (Kylo Ren, really ???) and overpowered (way overpowered) heroes who destroy everything in their path without even thinking about what they are doing (like Rey who's Chewbacca + Han Solo + Luke Skywalker combined in one single person, making her the best mechanic, pilot and someone using the most Advanced jedi powers without ANY TRAINING, shame on you JJ Abrams) Rogue one will be a real wake up call for the masses to the star wars universe and i'm not sure that everyone will like it.

However, for me, as a 30 years fan, it's a 9/10, removing 1 for its inherent darkness.

Pacific Rim (2013)

Baffled at this movie's score...
22 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Well, where to start ?

This movie was mediocre, really mediocre, probably one of Del Toro's worst so far.

The plot could've been written by an elementary school kid, acting was terrible (besides Idris Elba) with over stereotyped characters and pre-school dialogues.

The only good part could've been the robot vs kaiju fights, if : 1) There weren't, like, all shot during the night and under the rain 2) The use of 3D wouldn't have been so poor 3) The script of the fights wasn't so poor : "oh wait i got a giant sword on my frame, i just forgot to use it"

This movie takes over all the clichés you could get from a direct-to-TV Japanese robot movie / anime, from the ridiculously cliché and overplayed characters, the linear, over predictable script and the ridiculous monsters (jap generic name) and robot (German to sound "cool", like Japanese do).

So, yeah, if u guys expect to see a B/ ScyFy grade Japanese robot movie, you can watch this one, or the bazillion movies japs already have made over 30 years.

If you expect to see a good movie, then go watch something else.

I know that Del Toro wanted to enter the Asian market with this movie but, honestly, Asian market ain't japan... Being Asian here, and having watched it with an Asian crew (mostly), can't say anyone was impressed.

Guillermo should probably have hooked up with Mamoru Oshii to do this thing in anime version, it would probably have been much better.

Why the hate ? Maybe from people with no knowledge of Asian movies ?
17 February 2013
The 5.5 rate on IMDb is baffling, so i have to take some time and make a review.

I guess most people who criticize the film have, like, no knowledge of the Wu-Tang Clan, RZA and old school Asian movies and, therefore, were expecting a movie totally different and were shocked.

This movie is a tribute to all the old school kung fu flicks that the Wu-Tang watched as they built their albums, especially the 36 chambers. This movie brings all the possible clichés you could find in those films, all seen under the street culture angle.

I give this movie, like, an 8 for being original and true to its colors, a movie based on the passion & respect that RZA has for 1970-1980s kung fu flicks. Before watching, just listen to 36 chambers, get some vibes on, chill out and enjoy the movie to its worth.

Probably the biggest let down in a long time
1 June 2012
Not reviewing many movies, usually because i'm too lazy, but this time it's a little bit too much.

I don't know if it's because of Fox or if Ridley Scott just lost it, but this movie makes no sense.

The scenario is absolutely flawed, it is centered around the most basic existentialist questions without providing any answer or making any sense with them.

There's no suspense, there's no action, there's no thrill, there's nothing to think about, just scenes that are patched up one after another which make no sense overall.

Maybe a director's cut would be something good, because this thing's even worse than Robin hood.

Honestly, i'm surprised at what Ridley Scott's becoming, after doing masterpieces like Alien, Blade runner, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven... I mean, even Robin hood is a masterpiece compared to Prometheus, to say how low it sank...

Anyhow, Ridley, please go back on track and do us some good movies again !

Probably the only "horror" movie that works better than sleeping pills

Hey folks,

I've picked up a copy of this movie due to the many reviews describing it as "scary" or "bone chilling" but i must say that the end credits have been greeted by a huge yawn from me.

Maybe it's because fake ghost documentaries aren't really frightening to begin with (blair witch "punishing" the boys in the corner, paranormal activity having action for about 3 minutes in the movie) but this time it's even worse.

As some people said here, this ghost can't be flagged as scary or anything, she just completely acts as a normal human being, doesn't do anything at all, just walks around leisurely in her home or stands around outside not doing much. The only "scary" thing about her is her face, which is understandable since she drowned, but that ain't scarier than someone who had an unfortunate accident (fire, car crash...) and who's still alive.

It could be a movie about grief or some, say, paranormal thriller, but no, behind it, there's nothing. Acting's like having an Aussie version of Richard Gere not giving a damn bout the fact that he lost his daughter, same for his brother who just pictures her and tape her "hey it's my dead sister, she's looking at me, it's normal here".

I mean, about everything's failed here and one has to fight hard to keep his eyes open and not slumber during the movie, it's like watching a Singapore TV crime documentary.
