House of Gucci (2021)

Decent high fashion story

Although. I love fashion, I must confess I didn't know about this real life story. Very interesting. The cast is superb. Very sad it ended as it did.

Entertaining film, and a good movie for cable.

The Staircase (2022)

3 stars - it's Dateline with good actors

Although I like all the actors in this limited series, I don't see the purpose of repeating the documentary series, which apparently states the same facts and implies the same theories as this version.

I watched it all and it was like watching a Dateline program. I would give 7 stars for acting but the 3 star rating is because people got the bad idea of reproducing the documentary.

The Lincoln Lawyer (2022– )

Great series, want more!

For those of us who like lawyer/police/detective stories, this was perfect. I couldn't stop watching, and very tempted to give it an even better star rating ... (I may come back and change it, but I'm generally stingy in that area).

In general, anything I've read or seen by Michael Connelly has been very good.

Don't understand why there are some bad reviews. Can't wait for more Lincoln Lawyer series.

The Flight Attendant (2020– )

Better than expected

I am really enjoying this show. Binged watched Season 1 and now watching Season 2. Didn't expect Kaley Cuoco to actually be a good actress, but she is.

The story is good and the way it's done, it reminds me of 60s or 70s quirky comedy/spy movies.

Russian Doll (2019–2022)

Second season isn't good

I enjoyed the first season: quirky, different.

However, I can't get through the second season: obnoxious, overacted. Gives me the impression Natasha Lyonne run out of ideas and doesn't have any focus. I'm stopping watching it.

Inventing Anna (2022– )

Glorification of stupidity

I am disappointed with this series. It seems to glorify stupidity.

I really don't understand many things that the show doesn't explain or doesn't explain well, and here are a couple of big ones: when Anna didn't have any money, how did she even eat; why all these "friends" try to help Anna until and past the end of the trial.

Anna's (Julia Garner's) accent doesn't seem real, if you have heard German or Russian people speak in English. More care should have been placed in this area.

Lastly, it's a bit long. The same could have been told with at least two less episodes.

The Masked Singer (2019–2024)

I liked the show at the beginning, and have continued to watch it even though it's become a bit too much. However, the inclusion of Rudy Giuliani as one of the contestants did it for me--I am no longer watching and have given the show a 1 star rating.

FBI (2018– )

The best out of the FBI franchise.

Good plots, good acting. There's nice diversity in the ranks, which I believe reflects the actual FBI composition.

I'm not religious at all, but it's nice to see a Muslim character portrayed in a good light.

FBI: International (2021– )

Started promising but ...

This version of the FBI franchise started promising but it's gone downhill since then.

It is tiring to see the male characters constant attitude and unrealistic bravado (lots of in your face, literally) postures. Not many people I've seen in my many places and years of work behave like that, and if they did, they got penalized or fired. As i said, unrealistic.

Soon I won't watch anymore.

FBI: Most Wanted (2020– )

The worst of the FBI franchise

This one is the worst of the FBI franchise. I've watched them all so far ... Maybe I can't say all because I record them and there have been many occasions when I keep forwarding to skip large portions or just get to the end.

Somewhat boring and all the same every episode. Plots a bit out there.

Acting is OK.

Soon I will stop recording this.

Snowpiercer (2020–2024)

Disappointing after the first season

As of March 2922, I've watched all episodes so far and I can say that the show has gotten worse as it progressed. I had originally give 8/10, but I'm downgrading it to 5/10.

It is now slow, with seemingly filler episodes, and boring.

Don't know yet if i will continue watching.

The Rookie (2018– )

Enjoyable show

I've enjoyed this show from the beginning. It has a good mix of story, comedy, characters. Acting is pretty good.

However, I've been tempted to remove a star from my 7/10 rating since Jenna Dewan started as a series regular. Her Botox/plastic surgery face is so distracting! Every time she's on screen, I can't think of anything else. A shame.

Behind Her Eyes (2021)

I am 2/3 through this miniseries, and will provide a final review once done, but must say something before that for thise who are considering viewing it.

It is slow ... Stretched. I avoid watching American Lifetime movies because they're cheesy, unbelievable, stupid. This one feels just like one of those movies, only in episodes.

Acting so-so, and plot fairly unbelievable.

Case Sensitive (2011–2012)

Huge plot hole

I was enjoying this story, however, it has such a tremendous plot hole/error that it was awful to try to finish the last few minutes.

How can the little girl who told a big secret to one of the other girls in the story have communicated this secret if, we find out, she is actually dead at the time the secret happens???

Do the author of the book and writers of the program think the viewers are so feeble or will watch anything regardless of logic?

Hate it it!!! But apparently, judging by other reviews, people didn't notice or didn't care.

Waste of time

It wasn't a funny movie, and the romance was not existent, but even if this wasn't supposed to be a romantic film, it wasn't anything else!

Forced myself to watch through the end, but was very disappointed. The only thing left for me to think at that point was that I couldn't believe some very good actors agreed to participate in this film.

Do not waste your time.

I've provided a rating only after watching the first two episodes because I couldn't watch any more. Very boring and lacking life, and just seems that they had many social subjects they had to touch on ... It wasn't funny at all, and I'm big on social commentary but ... it felt forced.

The Sinner (2017–2021)

Good show, but some seasons better than others

I've now watched all four seasons, and they are good, but some better than others.

Season 1 was pretty good; Season 2 was OK; Season 3 was not that good; and Season 4 was the best.

Regarding Season 4, the story was pretty good, no holes. It keeps you guessing. Very well done.

If I have to say something I didn't like of all seasons is the slowness, but I believe in part was done to set the mood (although it felt really stretched).

Bill Pullman is great as usual, and the rest of the cast in each season has been wonderful.

The reason I think this movie is a bit better is that, although a very familiar story, it didn't follow the formula girl figths with guy, they make up, there's a big fallout due to a misunderstanding, they make up.

Wonderfully supportive family. Rare. So very nice that their support is shown to others who may not understand what the LGBTQ people generally go through.

I really enjoyed this show. Kept me on my toes and interested. Good acting and a good story. The twist ending was very unexpected, and I thought I had it all figured out a few episodes before the last one, but no, it was a surprise.

Maid (2021)

A little bit long, but otherwise very good

I would've given this show a 9 if it weren't that it could have been done in two less episodes. Many times it felt that they slowed down and stretched and stretched.

The acting is superb.

Younger (2015–2021)

Loved the show, hated the series ending

I watched this show from the beginning and loved it. Was very sad that season 5 is the last one.

Would give the series an 8/10 if it weren't that I have an issue with the series ending episode. The split between Charles and Liza seemed forced. So Charles has issues with Liza and is very inflexible but he's willing to date another woman who has many more flaws than her??? Doesn't make sense.

The rest of the stories endings were fine.
