The Suicide Squad (2021)
Almost left the theater
I was VERY excited to see this and it was a complete let-down. None of the jokes landed in my theater - seriously, no one ever laughed out loud, including myself. Multiple times I thought about leaving but the only reason I stayed was for Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley.
The dialogue and overall story was lame and i thought it was very messy when they kept going back and forth multiple times throughout the movie. It got boring real quick.
There are tons of different characters in this movie and somehow none of them, for the exception of Harley, were interesting to me.
Long Shot (2019)
Funny Rom-Com
I'm a simple girl, I see Charlize Theron in a movie, I watch it. This movie was really funny (dry humor all the way) and had a good storyline. It wasn't perfect and not realistic at times but overall i still loved it!
A New Year's Resolution (2021)
One of the few Hallmark movies I like
Hallmark movies don't really do it for me. On paper, the plot sounds semi-interesting but the execution are all the same. However, I really liked this movie! Both leads were great, charming and can deliver their lines in a very believable way. The plot is very grounded in reality and different from the typical Hallmark movies, which was a nice change. I think what made it more enjoyable was both lead actors. Their chemistry was great to watch
Harriet (2019)
Well Done
I really enjoyed this movie. The acting and overall storyline were great. I understand it's very loosely based on her story, but i wouldn't go so far to say it's a terrible movie because of it
Weepah Way for Now (2015)
Truthful and realistic
Having a sister, these scenes are so spot on. It's the way most sisters who are close in age talk and joke with each other, so the movie and the characters felt very real. I wasn't sure what to expect but this movie exceeded my expectations. There is no complicated story line, it's quite simple, and often times those are the best ones because it allows you to think and find out how you can relate to it. Lots of f-bombs and profanity but i like that, because it's *real* and how sisters/friends talk. Watching a movie about 20 something year olds and there is no curse words is just weird and unrealistic. Aly and AJ are so charming to watch and their chemistry is obviously incredible.
