A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Much Better than its rating
This movie should be in the top 20 of all time, the direction is excellent(as are all Kubrick movies). Mcdowell gives a performance that he will never be able to meet again. Kubrick enjoys doing that, just like D'Onofirio in Full Metal Jacket, he gave a performance which he will never meet, unfortunately, it was one of his first movies, well the same went for McDowell, if he were an accomplished actor he would have snagged an academy award.
Undercover Brother (2002)
I really want to know what everyone liked about this movie.
I went to see this movie, expecting a dumb, yet funny movie. I noticed that it got very good reviews from critics, which isnt always good for a comedy. Sure, this movie had its moments, most of them were scenes that looks like something from Austin Powers(GOLDMEMBER WILL RULE ALL). But, overall, this movie really had no laugh out loud comedy scenes, it isnt even that racy like everyone said it was. There are about 3 racial jokes in it, only one hits the mark(the mayo). If you want to see a good comedy that will keep you laughing for weeks, save your 7 dollars and look at the Crocodile Hunter trailer. Holy crap that movie is gonna be....pathetic. p.s.-if you dont heed my advice, the only constantly funny character is Conspiracy Brotha(Dave Chapelle), and the white intern is funny at the very end.
Mission to Mars (2000)
Good Movie, bad ending
I dont see what it is that everyone hates about this movie, it has great special effects, good acting, and a good plot. The only thing I see that keeps this movie from being great is the ending. If you changed the last 5 minutes for this movie, I dont care what they replaced it with, it would have been better. But the ending only drops it on my scale from 3 1/2 stars to 2 1/2 stars, or a 7 on the IMDB scale.
What's the Worst That Could Happen? (2001)
One of the best of the year...
I actually wasn't planning on seeing this movie, I was going to see The Animal, but it was sold out and this wasnt, so I decided to see this one. I think DeVito can play the best characters ever, he was great in Ruthless People, and good in LA Confidential, and he really shines here. I went in expecting a pretty good movie and I came out very satisfied. Lawrence and Leguizamo are hilarious as well. If you like a non-stop laughfest, you will love this movie.
