Down to Earth (2001)
6/10
Black comedy with some amusing irony.
11 June 2001
Down To Earth looked much better in trailers. Chris Rock didn't seem to fit well on the big screen and parts of the film were not thought out well enough. Greg Germann's character could have been more highly developed to add a sense of evil to a film that was too holy. Could have been much better, but considering it's an adaptation of an adaptation, Down To Earth was impressive enough to endure. More of a video rental really.

Fight Club (1999)
7/10
A film like this makes The Matrix seem like Fly Away Home.
11 June 2001
Fight Club appears to be violence and blood and lots of Brad Pitt asking people to hit him as hard as they can. But upon viewing, it is much, much more. The story line will not be clear until three or four views, and there are hours of fun to be had finding the Brad Pitt subliminals at the beginning of the film as a way of introducing a character. The DVD double disk box is faultless, and has featured on it the best commentary found for any film. Fight Club will have you laughing, crying, feeling horny and wretching all at the same time. Not for the faint of stomach...

Sauce, sex and Shakespeare all in one movie!
8 June 2001
The best teen Shakespeare film adapted for a laugh. This laugh/cry a minute flick of the highest quality will not only draw pre-sexed teens to it, but also adults. Great indepth characters help provide the perfect summer movie for any viewer. A great film.

Ally McBeal (1997–2002)
Witty, fun, refreshing and emotional. It really IS Ally McBeal.
8 June 2001
The show is original and colorful throughout every single episode. The characters are fleshed out so much so that even the arrogant, selfish and rude types such as Richard Fish are impossible not to like. You follow the story lines week by week, and you are never thrown into a situation which you haven't felt some familiarity about. There are some surprisingly remarkable visual effects which prove that there is an amazing amount of effort put into each show, by cast and crew alike. Ally McBeal is a great show, that offers a taste of a life that's gone astray, and although some scenes may be unbelievable in the sense they could never happen, you grow to love the show for it's family feel. A cry and laugh together as one, which emotions switching every minute.

Originality contributes to a funny, refreshing film.

Jim Carey plays Ace Ventura with a great spunk and funny, sometimes hilarious edge. An original plot line and amusing situations helps make this film better than average. You'd be happy to watch it around once every two years.
