Westworld: Generation Loss (2022)
I'm back in!!
Ever since season 1 I feel like I've kind of just been going through the motions with show, not feeling hooked, just forcing myself through each episode until the season and this episode especially. What a twist! Aaron Paul was amazing this episode. I really like how he's pretty much the main character now in terms of screen time. Jeffrey Wright is still the best actor on the show though. I feel like this show is back on top of the tv sci-fi genre and I can't wait for the rest of the season.
Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
I have never given a 1 star rating before but....
I have never been left with such a distasteful feeling like this after watching a show. I am offended. They bring the show back to give the character a proper ending but everything get unearned and rushed. I'm not one that thinks Dexter deserves a happy ending but right now I much prefer the season 8 ending. What was the point of bringing angel back this episode. This has to be more disappointing then the original ending as well because of how good it was up to this point. Am I exaggerating giving it a 1 star rating? I don't know. All I know is that this was upsetting. No chance of redemption either. Very sad.
Rick and Morty: Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion (2021)
I haven't given up hope for evil morty theory but....
The evil morty theory is basically that we are watching a different Rick and Morty which eventually end up being evil morty and the Rick he mind controlled. This theory is kind of disproved because this episode because Rick was referred to as C-137 and he also had the drool from his mouth. That still doesn't take away from how weird this season is with each episode lacking any emotional depth. It just makes each episode feel pointless. Rick and Morty feel like completely static characters and it's sad to see.
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two (2021)
One of the best animated Batman Movies
This movie, for me, is up there with "Under the Red Hood" and "The Dark Knight Returns Pt.2". Great voice acting form everyone and a great story story that followed the comics more than other adaptations and had some some twists that veered from the comics to keep the viewer interested. When you make an adaptation of the best comic book story of all time it is hard to go wrong with it. I just wished Batman would have delivered justice at the end even though it didn't feel fitting. - 9.5/10.
Animal Kingdom: Free Ride (2021)
A decent episode
One of the biggest elements of animal kingdom is the stylized heists and money grabs. This mountain biking in this episode is up their with some of their best ones like the jet skis. I liked how there is conflict building up with uncles failing to recognize J as their rightful leader. There was a very good moment between Pope and J where Pope asked J what he did when his mother died and J had an opportunity to console the man but chose not to because he is a cold hearted killer. I am curious as to where there gonna go with the Nicki storyline and if she is going to play a part in an upcoming episode because you can tell when J heard the news about her getting married to an army dude or whatever he was not happy to hear it. You can assume that's not because he's jealous or anything- no loss ties! Deran and Craig kinda just feel like background characters with a little too much screen time and speaking of which I am still not a fan of the flashbacks. Leila George is really good as smurf and the flashbacks are getting better but I still feel like those scenes are filler. I'd much rather the time be dedicated to Pope and J because with Smurf gone they are the stars of the show and need more screen time.
Snowfall (2017)
FX's masterfully crafted crime drama
FX's masterfully crafted crime drama revolving around the distribution of cocaine in 1980's California, provides us with some of the top tier television of the decade. In my opinion next to the story, the acting from Damson Idris (British) playing the lead of Franklin Saint, the intelligent drug dealer, is a top reason to tune into this show. Each season continues the trend of getting better as we follow franklin and his decent into a drug dealing kingpin. 10/10.
Animal Kingdom: Red Handed (2021)
Great Start to Season Only One Problem
I liked how to start the season it really just focuses on the boys no outside relationships and their conflict with the cousins carrying over from the previous season. The smurf flashbacks still feel a little filler and unnecessary but they at least feel more interesting now that we got pope as kid. The only problem I had was that they released a sneak peek and the sneak peek was 85% of this episode. So I already saw pretty much all of it a week ago. Other than that it was a very good episode potentially ending the conflict with the cousins but still leaving the door open by Pope letting one of them go at the end. Overall Great action filled episode gives this season a strong start. Looking forward to how relationships develop throughout the season especially with J and Pope and also J and Derran.
Invincible (2021)
Everything about this show is amazing!
I love everything's night this show! In particular the voice acting from Mark Grayson and Cecil. I would never be able to tell you that was Walton Goggins if he wasn't credited. The action for an animated superhero show is the best I can ever remember. The story is very engaging and never a full moment. I don't feel like any characters are unbearable so far they all for the most part are quite intriguing.
WandaVision: All-New Halloween Spooktacular! (2021)
Evan Peters is a welcome addition
Evan Peters as stereotypical brother sitcom trope is very much a welcome addition and I had no displeasure in seeing him fit in with everyone. Olsen is by far giving the best performance on this show and should get some kind of recognition at the next awards. The storyline is starting to pick up can't wait for next episode.....
Impractical Jokers: The Bachelor Party (2021)
Why does murr always get these punishments....
The presentations/focus groups are always funny challenges but that punishment ...... litterally made me cringe thinking about it. Shout out to murr for taking it like a champ.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 14: The Tragedy (2020)
Bill Burr coming back
Very cool that the mandalorian teams up with Jango to retrieve the child. Also can't wait for bill burr to return. He was great last season. Only 2 episodes left!
Barry (2018)
PERFECTLY WRITTEN COMEDY!
Let me first start by saying that the fact that Anthony Carrigan did not win Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series is a crime. In my opinion he is the funniest character of the show by far. Anyway, this show is about a Hitman who is goes to L.A. for a hit on an actor, and he ends up falling in love with acting. This show is reminiscent of breaking bad because it has that element of it where the main character repeatedly finds himself in a situation that makes you wonder: "How is he going to get himself out of this". Bill Hader is a brilliant director. This really shows on the episode ronny/lilly in season 2 as many people say that is the best episode of the show. What I really liked about his work on this episode was the cinematography slow camera reveals were very unique and when someone would go out of frame in it you would expect something different than what is actually going on. Bill Hader range as an actor is really shown as well in (especially in season one).I can't wait for season three because this show seems to be on a trend where each season is better than the previous and I hope that stays true!!
Season One - 9/10
Season Two - 10/10
