You'll Wanna be a Loser like Me....
12 August 2011
This movie is the perfect option for anyone who cannot afford to go see the Glee concert. This film combines all the Glee favorites with three real stories from Glee fans across America. The film succeeds in making gleeks feel like a community and is sprinkled with gleeks expressing their love for the series. Through, the actors act as their own characters. Making the story that the real Glee Club has gone on a national tour. You'll see them dancing as acting just as they do on the show and it will be like watching on long episode of the show. And it was refreshing to hear their voices without the autotune. The use of 3D added to the magic of the show. This is not a movie that should be avoided due to a pretentious prejudice against 3Dglee. For a Gleek, this movie will be one giant valentine.

Visual Appeal Overrides True Quality
23 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Although the movie Avatar has stunning visual effects, and beautifully imagined character relationships, the film plays out like Sci-Fi Pocahontas that essentially steals ideas from paganism and naturalism to a point that is almost a moral crime. Within the first five minutes of watching this movie I knew what to expect, it would be the same as any other "Protect the Homeland" type of movie ever. Furthermore, the names of objects and locations sound as if they were imagined by a five-year-old. A element named Unobtanium, and a living center called "Hometree" were only two of these. Gratuitous action kept this movie interesting, in between the horribly annoying dialog between characters... Interactions seemed overly predictable and I spent each second waiting for the next fight or flight to begin. The writing of this movie was at par.... not incredible, and not horrible... if it were not for the incredible effect to support the world imagined by the writer, Pandora and the Navii would never be considered as amazing as they are. At the end of this movie I found myself thinking: What a beautiful movie... Then i thought: I knew it. As a summary, this movie is vastly overrated, but for it's sheer beauty and excitement, I would recommend it for one's personal library.

Alice in Wonderland (I) (2010)
8/10
Lovely Reinterpretation.
6 March 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This movie takes place about thirteen years after Alice's first visit to Wonderland. In this version of the tale, which is more based off Lewis Caroll's Through the Looking Glass. Alice once again finds herself in the beautiful world of Wonderland. This movie is a much darker retelling that is definitely NOT SUITABLE for children under the age of six. The movie expresses several mature ideas such as infidelity, and death. The movie satisfies the hunger of the young at heart, while giving them a movie that is not childish.

The character's are portrayed in a much less whimsical way than in the original film, as the characters are now in the great war of Underland. For this reason, viewers who wish to see a fun movie should choose a different movie. This movie is a drama, nothing more. As there are very few jokes in the movie. My Overview

Glee (2009–2015)
8/10
Good Story, extremely flat characters (until recently)
12 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Glee is a fast paced ball of energy that anyone with a love for any good thing in life will come to enjoy. Glee takes the stereotyped characters we all know and turns the volume up on them so much that they almost become humorous. Unfortunately, that is the show's downfall. Many people can't understand the humor that is portrayed in these prestiches of real people. However, new dimensions are being added on that make it more realistic. It has now been revealed that Sue has a sister with down syndrome, and she therefore has a sympathy for handicapped people. People who are trying to say that this this show is predictable are starting to lose their grounding.

Glee has the power to touch the inner hope in every person. The one that remembers the magnified insecurities we made for ourselves, and the way we were treated because of it. It reminds us of all the problems we have, and how everyone has their own. But it reminds us that if we perceiver, we can overcome anything.

For the insecure teenager in all of us...

Good for Movie Goers, but a Disappointment to Book Readers.
26 July 2009
Warning: Spoilers
However cinematic and thrilling this movie was... however many stunning special effects and great acting were employed... this movie left a viewer either very confused about the story, or very disappointed with the content. The storyline followed the book as loosely as the movie writers possibly could muster. in fact, the Half Blood Prince, which dominates so much of the story in the book, only appeared as a sub story in the movie. The Half-Blood Prince story went about something like this:

"Half-Blood Price?" "I can't find anything about it!" "I'm the Half-Blood Prince"

The real storyline in the movie was debatable, as it seemed evenly told with the sub stories. The story was about the romances, Malfoy's box, Horcluxes, and the danger in the wizarding world.

It leaves a person who doesn't read the books with a skewed view on the real story.

If you are a fan of the book series, this movie is not for you. If you want a good movie, this movie is made for you.

This movie gets a five because it does not achieve it's responsibility of telling the story from the book, but gives the viewer a magical adventure to enjoy.

Very Funny, Poor Story
26 July 2009
This movie as a whole was satisfying. However, if you are looking for a movie with substance in the story, skip it all together. While the movie was a fun ride for fans of the series, it was a confusing teacup ride for those looking for a continuation on the story. The main story line made no sense, and seemed to be thrown together by the writers. If you choose to see this movie, go in without expectations, because that's the only way you will enjoy it. The sub-stories will be enough to carry you through the wishy-washy main story. This movie gets thumbs up for comedy, for those who enjoy the light-hearted and wacky.

I give this movie a nine for it's light, and heart warming story, and the way it gives a satisfying ending to the trilogy.

Halloweentown High (2004 TV Movie)

Where in the world is Halloweens town?
28 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is no were near as good as the rest of the series. Now, right away they start talking about Marnie's "punishment" for opening the halloweentown portal, this is impossible since it happens almost two years after. Lastly not going to halloweentown or having a big magical confrontation killed the fun of this world for my friends and family. Most didn't care about a magical fun-house. In the story Marnie had to "fight this magical knight, they never fought and the story had almost nothing to do with halloweentown. Now the same humor is there I do enjoy myself with that. But after Halloweentown II, I expected more, more magic, more kalbar or evil warlock/witch things. But they didn't have it, so as a summary: This movie is nice but couldn't possibly stand up to the previous movies
