Dynasty: My Hangover's Arrived (2020)
Wrong on so many levels
The Dynasty writers decide that a business drama should rip off another show and follow its storyline to a tea. The characters act more desperate then ever and compare them to where the were in episode 20 of other seasons, they have regressed. The give us useless drama which lasts an episode and makes a mockery of the characters and the fans in the process. Possibly the worst of the season (besides the horrible musical episodes). Only one shining light however, as the episode finally gives us more Alexis and Anders scenes, which going by how they went about the rest of the storyline's this season, would drop before the season closes.
Dynasty: Robin Hood Rescues (2020)
Embarrassing
This was such a perfect time to give us a dark storyline and finally make the show more serious, instead they slap us across the face with joke after joke which proves there really is no stakes. Considering how well known the OG Dynasty was for the Moldavian storyline, the reboot starts the storyline with a big stumble.
Dynasty: Is the Next Surgery on the House? (2020)
The only other episode which could...
Capture the magic of the previous two seasons, for the first time in the newest season there is actual drama, on a business and personal level, and treats the fans to the best written character of the season, Laura. Different plot twists keep you entertained and surprised by the ending cliffhanger is what will really have you excited for what's to come.
Dynasty: What Sorrows Are You Drowning? (2020)
Disrespectful on multiple levels
Instead of continuing the storyline's and giving us drama with consequences, the show throws all credibility out the window just to allow the main characters a chance to sing. It ruined the whole episode. I almost walked away after this, because not only does it disrespect all those watching expecting a drama about business, but also Steven. The show became far too heavy on the comedy-musical rather then the drama-business.
Dynasty: Caution Never Won a War (2019)
It's a shame...
That the season started with so much potential, but then after one episode it feels like they suddenly changed course. The characters are not acting as themselves, and what can I say other then the overall tone is cartoony and childish. Only one other episode is able to catch the essence of the third seasons premiere, and it's 3x16.
Dynasty: Guilt Trip to Alaska (2019)
A good introduction
Considering that another character has been recast, the show goes about it well. Plot threads are continued from the previous season finale (although then dropped rather quickly), new series regulars shake up the mix with new storyline's promising us a juicy season of backstabbing, but will then fail to deliver. One of the best of the season, as drama is centre stage, in stead of singing or comedy.
Dynasty: Something Desperate (2019)
WORST EPISODE EVER
The show goes to far this time, delivering a rather sad and cheesy embarrassment of songs. A true spit on the face to the drama and business centred core of the show, but most unforgivably, the fans. This is the first of many instances in this season where they give us musicals instead of character development. A real downhill spiral from here...
Dynasty: Deception, Jealousy, and Lies (2019)
Tying the story together
The season 2 finale ties all the loose ends of the previous seasons to a shocking head to lead us into the next season. For a show like Dynasty, the legacy of the individuals becomes a Pandora's box as the Carringtons come to head to head with their biggest demons, and enemies..
eachother.
Dynasty: Motherly Overprotectiveness (2019)
Honestly
It's all worth it for that ending. Finally a character gets their justice while introducing another dangerous threat that not only the characters, but the fans should dread.
Dynasty: Parisian Legend Has It... (2019)
The best episode of the reboot
In my opinion, the above statement rings true. I love "Dead Scratch" but this episode tackles dark and heavy subjects brilliantly. The characters are put at a crossroads where they must face themselves, and we see them in a light we never have before. Full of twists and shocking revelations, definitely a piece of television I will never forget.
Dynasty: Dead Scratch (2018)
The best of the series
The end of season1, and start of season 2 are the best the show has to offer. Dark, dramatic with consequences for the characters actions. This magic is lost in season 3, but at least we will always have these episodes.
