Mee Raqsam (2020)
MovieExemplifiesOnCulturalDiversity
Right after watching the trailer, I had a great feeling. As expected, it turned out to be a great movie. It is a realistic movie about liberals in India, who face challenges for doing what is right. Hypocrites having power and money, try to control naïve by misinterpreting the religion. Wise men and women choose to not pay attention to them. They do their own research and make their own decisions. As a result, these hypocrites try their best to make them respect their misinterpretations. In this process, they give a very hard time to liberals but won't be succeeding. Some poor and uneducated people in India are forward thinkers. This movie has clearly proved that these hypocrites cannot win against wise men and women. Also, in the process of checking out the details about filmmaker, I have learned about the greatness of 'Azmi' family.

Determined father to provide better education to his bright son
I was waiting for this movie after watching the trailer. Esp. because the movie was starring Adil Hussain: adept at choosing great scripts. Movie is about a determined father, willing to do anything to provide better education for his son. Struggling to make the ends meet, father turns burglar and ends up in jail. Movie shows how expensive the education is in private schools. Also, education in government schools, affordable by the poor, lack quality. Adil's acting was marvelous. It adds to the list of the finest movies, made in India, by Prakash Jha. Our future generation would find that list and watch.
The Blue Butterfly (2004)
NatureHealingMovie
As a nature-lover, I enjoyed the movie wholly. It is the best Canadian movie made by Lea Pol. I wish all the kids are thought the way entomologist describes the boy, about the concept of symbiosis in the wild. All the landscapes and creatures are nicely filmed. Interestingly, boy and the entomologist were the real characters lived by David Marenger and Georges Brossard. Miraculously, David Marenger has recovered from cancer after fulfilling his dream to see 'The Blue Butterfly'. This movie not only inspires everyone, but also creates a hope among the patients suffering from cancer at an early age.
Today's Special (2009)
Movie with great ingredients
It was on my list from a very long time, but I managed to watch it completely yesterday. Movie left me with a great, inexplicable feeling at the end. Usually, I do feel that way when I watch or read something very good. I enjoy cooking and reading about or watching romance between different races. Today's special has exactly what I love. Plus, it has a story about a guy from India, experiencing the partition of India and Pakistan. I could relate so much as a foreigner, living in America when some characters in the movie struggle in America, as an immigrant. Naseeruddin Shah, a cab driver completely changes Aasif Mandvi with his philosophy on cooking and life. Aasif gets the right guidance and becomes successful from a total loser. At the end, Aasif wouldn't regret not going to France, for an internship.
Echo Lake (2015)
One must experience Solitude
It's a great movie about an irresponsible guy named William in his thirties. He goes back to the cabin to live, owned by his father after he died. The main purpose was to sell the cabin and make cash, but the plan changes after he realizes his mistakes by experiencing solitude. Loved all the landscapes in the movie. Made me feel like I was on a vacation at some National Park. Highly recommended for all the nature-lovers, who enjoy hitch-hiking in the forest.
