She Spies: The Replacement (2003)
Season 1, Episode 17

Just here for Jeff lol

Some funny dialogue in the first few minutes, but it got boring quickly after that, so I pretty much just skipped to the parts with Jeffrey Combs haha. It was funny to see him in such a terrible blonde wig but he pulled it off better than I could've! The three stars are solely for the 3 or 4 ish times he's on screen. I wouldn't say it's unwatchable, but even if you're a big fan of Jeff I'd definitely recommend that you go into it with the mindset that it's gonna be terrible but still goofy to watch. So if you're looking for a really good performance I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

I'm sure he did the best with what he had to work with and no disrespect to him for being in the role, he was definitely the best actor out of the cast, at least in this episode anyway. (I haven't seen any others of this show)

A good family flick

The first time I saw this movie I was like 5-7 years old. I'm a very nostalgic person, so I'm obviously gonna say that I like it no matter what anybody else says. I'm here like 9 years later and I can honestly say I've seen this movie 100 times or more!Lol! For people who would typically trust the critics, don't trust them! Embrace some B+ movies for once plz. And overall I think it is sweet how all the kids learn to love Jackie Chan as their new father in the end. I give this movie a 7.5/10!

Benny & Joon (1993)

A very wholesome and chill feel-good movie

This was a very sweet movie role for Johnny Depp, and I only wish that the movie drew more focus on his character; because to me, he's the BEST character in the movie even though the movie's main focus is supposed to be on Benny and Joon. I mean, Joon was sweet and all, but I think thought of Sam as more interesting, and just really adorable.( plus, I didn't really ever come to liking Benny much even after watching the whole movie; but I did think he and Ruthie were cute together.). In my personal opinion, I believe the movie would've been just a bit more captivating if Sam and Joon were the sole focus; with Benny as more of a side character and less of a main role. And just as one last qualm, I really do wish it had a longer duration time! There could've been some more to develop left story-wise. The movie just kind of leaves you thinking, " That's all?","isn't there a little more they could expand on?", type of endings.. I also just wanna give credit to Rachel Portman for this movie's instrumental soundtrack score; it just fit the scenes so well. Look, I know this is a book now, but I just wanna point out that other than the, I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) title song, the other lyrical songs in the movie, just didn't fit right to me, and I didn't love the singers voices.. But overall I give this a 7.8/10.

Plain, but funny and genuine at times, also with some cringe sprinkled in.

I really like Steve Martin's movies, so that's the main reason of interest for me watching the movie. I did think that Goldie Hawn did a good job as well. So when the movie starts, you think it'll be a subdued and sweet story about a couple learning to rekindle their love with a few unfortunate obstacles to conquer, but later on through the movie it became one of those " run around everywhere trying to get something only for it to be gone because of *insert blank zany inconvenience*"; and when the movie tries to get serious again, it just doesn't feel right. For the first half, I did feel like this movie would be level headed, but then the humor just gets more like cringey risqué humor, and absurd insanity; and risqué humor ( i.e., 'masturbating' and 'sex in public') is more cringey when it involves older people. I mean I guess the very end was good but it became too wild of a movie for the way it was set up in the beginning. So I guess it was fine, I wouldn't recommend or not recommend this. It's not awful, but not great. 6.7/10
