Road House (2024)

Starts well...then Mcgregor shows up

I was expecting a fun action movie, and it started well. Jake is great (as youd expect), and so are most of the supporting cast.

There are also some fun moments and lines. But then Conor Mcgregor turns up and it goes down hill fast. He really can't act, and just stomps around spouting cringe one liners that he can't pull off. You'd also expect at least his fight scenes to be good, but they weren't.

With another actor in the Mcgregor role this could have been a great action movie.

The fight scenes are hit and miss with some looking very fake with some bad cgi at times too. In fact the cgi is pretty poor in general.

Haunted Mansion (2023)

Great story and characters ruined by ridiculously dark film

So much of this was better than the previous adaption, with loads of nods to the original ride which I'm sure any disney parks fan will pick up on. The effects were also very good. The cast was, without exception, excellent. The story manages to pay homage to the ride while also being easy to understand for those unfamiliar with the ride.

But the film was so dark it was a strain at times to watch and see what was going on. Even the daytime scenes looked like they had a filter on. I've also heard this complaint from others who have seen it. And if you have any vision issues you really will struggle to make out what's going on.

Behind the Attraction (2021– )

About time...but could be better

After the excellent Imagineering Story, Disney Plus was crying out for a series on all the attractions.

This is very good, but the light hearted presentation style lacks depth and detail at times. Its very much a copy of Movies That Made Us on Netflix in terms of style.

Disney parks fans love details, give the audience what they want.

Us Again (2021)

Best Pixar movie in years...and its only a short!

Really crying out to be a full movie, gorgeous visuals, great character development and nice music. The story idea (aging, lost youth etc) could definitely be developed into a full movie.

Loved this, after The Imagineering Story and Prop Culture and now this Disney+ really need to continue these high quality behind the scenes documentaries.

This is actually better than the movie itself. I just hope we get more for other movies old and new.
