Vikings: The Most Terrible Thing (2019)
A fresh humanistic take on the people of Viking
This episode is what historical drama about. The endless power struggle have lasted 5 episodes, starting with a young Ragnar dream of the new world and now his existentialism legacy where mind, heart and sexual desire interwined and collided. Watching through the episode feels like sailing through the terror of the night of human darkness and waking up to a morning full of heart, from love, even as victim.
Definitely will make conventional viewers of Vikings uneasy, like the way Bjorn is in his truthful moment.
Fainaru fantajî sebun adobento chirudoren (2005)
Just merely an excellent movie
I rate 10 out of 10 as a Final Fantasy fan and a hardcore movie fan. The Movie did pretty well picking up the trail after the game left. Event, emotion, myth, and how Cloud react is awesome. The final scene where Cloud see Aerith walk out of the Church is merely heartbreaking...
The voice actor in English version did a pretty good job, although there're some unnessesary animation in the movie, but that does not make the movie go less interesting
The remake of Turk character, especially Rino is truly unique, Rino FTW, the black dude is also pretty cool.
Mùa len trâu (2004)
A subtle poetic of nature, human, life and death
I'm so what not a casual film watcher, meaning movie like spider-man or superman or x-man or maybe even Titanic doesn't really score much of impression to me.
This movie, is a somewhat similar to the movie "Legend of the fall" (but of course not that close, but that's the style). The technique of the movie is kind of similar to Green Papaya or "Vertical ray of sun", but it's more on the rural side, more mainstream (a favorite struggle story) rather than a contemporary city life.
And yet, this is one of the rarest Vietnamese movie that truly depict what is the society / life look like in 1930, in its fully details.
