Puzzle (2018)
Puzzle and Love
A wife like many women, puts herself last, forgets about what she wants or doesn't, and in her husband's words, "everyone uses her." A mother with two sons who, in her son's words, "serves the men in her life well," but forgets to teach them something, and like many others thinks she's doing them right, but she isn't though they love her anyway.
Once and only once she started doing something she likes, no matter how silly or small like solving jigsaw puzzles, boom her personality started to surface and finally she is having a voice with her husband and kids. It is amusing to watch her new persona for the rest of the movie.
Is she ready for love? Her husband is a nice and old-fashioned man. He knows his role in the family, fulfills it, and just wants an ordinary life; a wife "servant" and good kids. He wants to be a better husband than his father. He doesn't have a say with his kids as well and raises them the way he was raised. So a new man enters her life and he is no ordinary, here comes Irrfan Sir, he knows what he wants or doesn't and why. A wise man who develops an interest in this changing woman who turned out to be "a rebel" in his words.
It is likely now that you think that she will either chooses to complete the rest of her life with her husband or lover, but instead she chooses a third path, a third possibility, she chooses herself. A journey with herself to explore.
Moral of the movie: find your passion and develop your interests no matter how silly or small, take them to the next level, it might just change your life forever.
Cast Away (2000)
A must watch
Yesterday I watched Cast Away movie for the second time in my life. First time I was younger, I thought it is boring, and I hated it. Yesterday I loved it, Tom Hanks is an incredible actor.
Sometimes in life, one gets in the same state of thinking not necessarily in an uninhabited island where you feel neutral and you are still breathing, but and I quote from the movie "you never know what the tide brings in."
Always after crisis, one tends to be more grateful for whatever he has in life. Let's remind ourselves to be grateful all the time of every blessing.
It will make you think of the force of love, the importance of a companion "Wilson in the movie," adaptability, and destiny.
The ending is lovely. I ranked it 9 on imdb. A must watch in my POV.
Forrest Gump (1994)
Inspirational
I watched this movie yesterday and I am still feeling overwhelmed. Definitely a well-deserved academy award of best actor for Tom Hanks for his marvelous performance in this movie.
We often value intelligence and look for it in people, but the other values; of just being good, pure, and kind, are just as important.
I know this movie is fictitious but you don't necessarily have to have a high IQ to be successful. Sometimes it just takes courage, determination, and loyalty to be good at something. The protagonist condition made him less aware of the emotions of fear and worry, which usually plays a big role in creating obstacles for us.
The force of love was very present in the movie. An inspirational one and I highly recommend it.
To Have and Have Not (1944)
Splendid
This movie shows exactly how a real man should be, and how a smart woman should treat him. She was only 19 here.
Back with the Ex (2018)
Never liked the title/thought
From the title I didn't wanna watch it, and though an ex is an ex for a reason, getting back would be a complete waste of time, but out of boredom, here I am.
Jeremy and Meg: clearly needed couple therapy to learn how to communicate and understand each other. Love only is not enough.
Erik and Lauren: I am glad of Lauren's decision, it seems she's really changed, invested in herself since the breakup, and is stronger now.
Cam and Kate: I think they should be best friends.
Peter and Diane: I thought they are a good reason this show is made, but then they also need therapy on how to deal with her being bossy with some stuff.
The Brave (1997)
I Loved it!
It is frightening what would people do to earn money, it is sad though obligatory to see a man feeling like one, a husband, and a father fulfilling his duties only when he is able to provide for his family. Also what a father would sacrifice for to give a chance for his family of a better life?! And Johnny Depp, what can I say, one of the GOAT actors.
