Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
good adaption - terrible overacting
The series was technically well realized, the story stuck to the original, storyboard and effects were good. What irritated me, however, was the acting performances of the actors, especially the main actor. There is nothing worse in movies or on stage than overacting. The actors often exaggerated their emotional outbursts to such an extent that they became implausible. Even if this may be part of manga or anime, it is out of place in a cinematic realization. In particular, the episode in which Arisu loses his friends was so exaggerated that I lost my enjoyment of the series. If you like overacting, it's a successful adaptation, but if you value acting performances, you should watch something else.
Sha chu ge huang hun (2021)
great film, terrible acting by Suet-Ying Chung
The film is fun to watch and has some depth. But Suet-Ying Chung is terrible- she is 26 and playing a 16 year old - totally overplays the role. With better acting it would be 8 points.
FBI: International (2021)
bad acting worse script
Who is supposed to watch such awful c...? Fbi showing french police how to work? Fbi in croatia? Who is supposed to believe this. Awful actors, stupid script? A dozen militia guys helping one criminal to escape with a girl? Just to shoot two crotian police men. Waste of time!
Insidious (2010)
Boring uninspired untalented waster of time
Sorry, i cant understand how anybody above the age of 18 can enjoy a film so below average. the camera work is mediocre, the lighting is simple, the cast is mediocre and the movie is boring. compared to recent movies such as it follow its a rip off of a rip of (poltergeist etc). ty simpkins is, at least in this film, totally amateurish. f.i. the scene where rose byrne is looking through he photo album, simpkins is totally overchallenged. his mimic, the position of his head just simply do not fit the role and.. he looks at least twice directly into the camera. such a scene has to be reshot - or deleted from the movie. every TV cast is better, sorry. and flapping doors are no means to create suspense. if the director doesn't take the audience serious.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)
wasted resources
Basically i am a fan of uma thurman. she is one of the most versatile actresses around, but... more and more she tends to act in movies, which are not worth a dime, as this one. it is neither funny, nor witty, no suspense, no action, no nothing. a waste of time, if you are older than 10. i do not have children, so i do not know, how they react to this film. what is this film: it is a parody of super heroes- but it is more a parody of thurman and her roles as in gattaca or kill bill. but i am not sure, that this effect is wanted. my advice: if you got lots of time on your hands: watch it and forget it, if not, don't waste your time.
Bring It On (2000)
superficial comedy with a low level of intelligence
I have to admit that this film might appeal to somebody at the age of 15. i might have enjoyed it myself a couple of years ago. nowadays i except more of a comedy and a love story.
