Meet Joe Black (1998)
I've seen it so many times!
I can never be bored of this movie. I like it a lot! It's interesting, funny at times and it definitely brings tears to my eyes. Claire Forlani is so beautiful in this movie, she always amazes me. Don't miss this movie. It's good.
The X Files (1993)
My all time favorite show!
This show will be in my heart forever. I was a child, watching it with my parents on TV and feeling really creeped out. Now I'm almost 33 and I am rewatching it again for the 3rd time and it's still magic! I still get goosebumps. I can't believe it.
There will never be another pair like Scully and Mulder. They are so iconic, just like Sherlock and Watson.
Cheers to all of the X-Files fans around the world!
The truth is out there! #iwanttobelieve
His Dark Materials (2019)
It's good but...
I have only just started watching the series. I'm at episode 3. It's OK but I feel something is missing, like the show was made for those who read the book. I haven't, I'm just discovering this story. The setting, the world is not very well explained and honestly the characters are not very likable. I'm not particularly fond of anyone so far. The acting is also weird and doesn't make sense sometimes. Not sure if it's the director or the actors themselves, but the acting feels rushed at times and not really convincing. And it's all happening too fast. Why would a school/university allow a small girl to leave with a woman she just met? Shouldn't they ask her uncle? And why does Lyra trust her? Many decisions that the characters make don't have any sense.
I will continue watching. I hope it gets better. Visually the show looks amazing!
Unsolved Mysteries (2020)
Don't get the hate...
Why are people complaining that there is no host? It's always better to hear the story from friends and family members. Just take it as it is and stop comparing it to the old series. I personally like slow paced shows/movies, so I have no issue with that. I guess people these days are used to instant gratification and no longer have patience to wait for a build up. The way this was edited and put together is quite alright. On some stories the police investigation seems quite weird, like they didn't really look into it that hard. But then again we do not have all the details. Overall a good series.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
After all this time this is still my favorite!
This is the best movie from all the Harry Potter series. Alfonso Cuaron captured the magic and so many little details from the book perfectly. When I miss Harry Potter, I always come back to this movie. I absolutely adore it! Although my favorite HP book is The Half Blood Prince, my favorite movie is this one! After this, the movies started going downhill.
Bad Boys for Life (2020)
Shockingly bad and not funny
I was shocked of how bad this movie was. And shocked to see people giving it a 10. That's some low standards.
It's not a fun movie, the dialogue is so cringy. They were trying to use those old jokes but it doesn't work. I didn't laugh even once! The first 2 movies were funny at least. Martin Lawrence is fat and I felt like he didn't give a damn about this movie. He was like it is what it is folks. I don't care how I look, I'm just going to show up, read my lines, get paid and go home. And the plot twist... Omg! 😂
Raised by Wolves (2020)
Good idea, poor execution
I love Ridley Scott but he doesn't always make the best movies. It's the same with this s as well. I really like that for some time he is exploring the idea of human-looking robots but the plot in this series is bad and doesn't make any sense. The dialogue is terrible and so is the acting. I honestly don't care about any of the characters in Raised by Wolves, they are forgettable. They only slightly likable character is Father and perhaps Mother. Mother seems to have more of a background story and that is the reason I'm still watching. But when it switches to Marcus and his partner I start loosing interest. I watched the last 2 episodes and they were ridiculous honestly. A robot that is physically superior to humans gets outrunned by a child? People will say she didn't have her eyes... But still, anyone can outrun a 10 y old. Just doesn't make any sense. I will keep watching but this is not a good show.
The Godfather (1972)
Hold up really well even to this day. A classic.
I've never seen The Godfather from the beginning to the end until today. I was really impressed with how well it holds up, it is really well made and I enjoyed it a lot. This movie is timeless. I really liked seeing a young Al Pacino and Diane Keaton. It was like going back in time.
Atlanta's Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children (2020)
It started out OK but...
This documentary doesn't lead to anywhere. I don't live in the U.S and as a person that had no knowledge of the case, it started out quite interesting. Along the way, they present you with some evidence that might contradict the conviction of Wayne Williams... But it ends very abruptly. What was the purpose? Just to place a seed of doubt in people's mind? Go all the way and prove the man's innocence - if he really is.
