At Any Cost (2000 TV Movie)
Excellent Film!
17 June 2003
I first saw this film exactly a year after it was released in the U.S, and after 2 years I still love it loads. It's about Lance (Eddie Mills) and Mike Ryan (James Franco), two brothers who start a rock n' roll band. Lance's wife Chelsea (Maureen Flannigan) also joins, and the brother's best friend Ben (Glenn Quinn) becomes the band's - who are called Beyond Gravity - manager. It's a very good movie and most of the acting is fantastic, the late Glenn Quinn did a wicked job of playing the manager drove by money and power and by the jealousy he had on Lance and Mike growing up before he got his own record label - Huge -, the big, posh house, + Mike's girlfriend Rebecca (Cyia Batton). James Franco also acted very well as Mike, although thinking about the movie it seems he isn't in it much, due to his character overdosing and dying, he really does show of some good potential. Eddie Mills did a great job singing, and the girls were good actresses as well. All in all this film is pretty dark, what with drug overdoses, money/power-hungry managers, and how Lance + Chelsea's relationship is strained, collapsing and being rebuilt. I'd recommend anyone to watch this film as I loved it. =)

And to quote Glenn Quinn's character Ben: "I'm the star here in it, that's right I'm the talented one!" and that Glenn was so true to you.

yay!

When it's Saturday night and you're wanting something good to watch and all the TV shows that feel they've been on for centuries are dragging along then keep watching for this! A wonderful, entertaining series with two presenters that quite a lot of people have grown up with. The two Geordie lads are very funny and give the show that extra sparkle. The idea of being able to 'grab the ads' that you've seen is original and throw in a few other extra tidbits like 'what's next?' and 'Jim didn't fix it for me' and you've got a good hour long series that makes you wish it was on everyday. Now as a 15 year old I'm trying hard not to point out that Dec is very hot and that is a very appealing 'must-watch' thing but it's true, and he can't get away without a mention so there it is lol. Overall the show is a great family show, suitable for all really, very entertaining, very funny with two fantastic presenters. Yay!! Don't miss it!

Saved by the Bell (1989–1992)
Kooky fun for kids
11 August 2002
This show may not appeal at all to most people over the age of about 12, due to it's stereotyping and how the six regular cast members manage to be popular, smart, and involved with every club/sport that they could and always happen to become homecoming queen or something. But for a show to last as long as did with such far-fetched ideas proves it had something. The six regulars were the 'blonde Tom Cruise' Zack, A.C. Slater, Screech, Kelly, Jessie, and Lisa. Then of cause their principal Mr Belding who they had a pretty unique relationship with really. Why this will appeal to kids is because it's funny, and it's storylines are easy to follow and entertaining, and of cause there tends to me a moral to each episode. There is nothing offensive about this show, in fact quite the opposite, it is very innocent and not as bad as people make it out to be. It dared to stereotype and got away with it while being entertaining.

Roseanne (1988–2018)
The best show ever!!!!!
13 June 2001
I love this show, and now to this day it still has me giggling and admiring the acting abilities. Roseanne was great, first of all i thought she was annoying but soon she grew on me and now i'm totally used to her and she's great! She didn't play the perfect mother but is there in real life a perfect mother? Dan was awesome! I always took his side if there was an argument, don't know why but i did. He was a good dad on the show and will be famous for the role for a long time. Becky - the eldest daughter - she was great too. I loved the eps about her when she was 13/14 because i like to see how she deals with problems at that age and it helps me (i'm 14) both Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke were great and I couldn't pick a favourite. Darlene was my fave next to Mark. She was just like me, sarcastic and stuff, she was best character after Mark and always will be. DJ was never a fave but his cute little opinions in series 1 were how little boys that age saw things. And when he 'grew up' he got better. The other characters were totally cool too, from Jackie to Leon.

Although some characters annoyed me (Leon and Bev esp.) other's I loved like Mark played by the talented and hot Glenn Quinn, and David who was his on-screen younger brother. All together this show was 'da bomb!'

Silhouette (1990 TV Movie)
Ummmm...not sure about this film
11 June 2001
I wasn't actually paying much attention to this film as the beginning, when she witnesses the murder, bored me a bit. The only part I had been waiting for was Glenn Quinn's role as Darren, the sheriff's son, and his scene was very short. I thought this film was actually quite boring and I got easily confused with it, but because of my love for Glenn Quinn I am ashamed to say I would tape it, or maybe even buy it! But if you're not as obsessive as me :) well then I don't think it's worth sitting all the way through. Basically a woman witnesses a murder from her hotel room, then thinks *everyone* (not literally) did it. And the murderer took sometime to actually die, it got boring, it was like 'BANG, BANG' you think he's dead then he's come back. It's very predictable. But that's my thoughts.

Angel (1999–2004)
this could contain spoilers i'm unsure who has seen it and who hasn't so be warned
7 May 2001
Warning: Spoilers
When Angel first started in January 2000 in England, I was thrilled when I realized there was another character in it, one who wasn't from Buffy. For the first nine episodes it was a great show, Angel gave the show a name, a purpose, a darkness, and a mysterious feel. Cordelia gave the show wit, and the female view. Then there was Doyle. He gave the show wit too, plus the newcomer, the fresh face, he also made the show lighter. Not to mention the hot body. Glenn Quinn was so talented and should not have been killed off.

The show started off great, then Wesley came it got boring, darker, and just no fun to watch. The second season perked up a bit with the entrance of Charles Gunn as a regular, and the fact that Wesley actually mentioned Doyle to Gunn!!! Which I couldn't believe. To me it seems like Joss Whedon is just getting rid of all the new, cool characters like Doyle, Riley, Lindsay...What is he trying to do to me!!
