WWE One Night Stand (2007 TV Special)
5/10
Decent PPV, but not as good as it could as it should have been.
11 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I have a problem with today's ECW. I think they should just call it "CW" because there's no extreme. One Night Stand features all extreme matches. I think this is good for WWE because they need all the help they can get lately. I watched this PPV expecting the worst (I always set my standards low so I'm never disappointed). What I got was a pretty decent PPV. However, if you compare it to the previous One Night Stand events, it doesn't STAND out. (main reason being that they didn't have it in the same building) The only person who bled was Sandman.....and that was when he bashed the beer can on his forehead during his entrance.

(RANDY ORTON vs RVD) (STRETCHER MATCH) Worst stretcher match I've seen. Do me a favor, watch the stretcher match between RVD and Sabu from years ago and compare it to this one. You'll see my point. Pathetic match with a pathetic ending.....and way too short. As predicted, Orton gave RVD a concussion sending him to the ER.

(HARDYZ vs WORLD'S GREATEST TAG-TEAM) (LADDER MATCH) They should stop calling them the "world's greatest tag-team". It's obvious they can't win a match. None the less, this was my favorite match of the night. Lots of sick bumps (and screw-ups). Great effort from both teams. Shelton Benjamin is championship material in my opinion. Both teams fought backstage.

(MARK HENRY vs KANE) (LUMBERJACK MATCH) OK....the lumberjacks served no purpose whatsoever because they were to scared to even touch Henry and Kane (and who'd blame em). This was the worst match of the night, but I guess when you put two boring wrestlers in the ring together...then that's what you get. I like to call Henry "Molasses Mark" because that's how slow he moves in the ring. Why is he still in the WWE?

(MELINA vs CANDICE) (PUDDING MATCH) Nothing to discuss. Just another eye-candy match for the fans. Simply pathetic and a waste of time. I think the problem with today's WWE divas is that it's more about looks than actual wrestling skill. I miss Trish, Jazz, Molly Holly, Jacquline....you know....the good ones.

(EDGE vs BATISTA) (CAGE MATCH) Not being a big fan of seeing Batista in cage matches (or seeing Batista...PERIOD), this one was pretty fair. Edge carried most of the match. The ending of the match was my favorite part due to the humor I find in adult temper-tantrums.

(LASHLEY vs MR. MCMAHON) (STREET FIGHT) Wonderful match (carried mostly by Shane O'Mac). Lashley has definitely improved his in-ring skill since his first arrival in WWE. Next to the Ladder Match, this one was the best of the night.

(JOHN CENA vs THE GREAT KHALI) (FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE) Let me start by saying that Khali has yet to entertain me in a match. I'm sorry, but Khali is a sorry excuse for a wrestler. Decent match. Could have been better. Definitely Cena's toughest challenge to date. And for once, the fans didn't boo him out of the arena.

I give this PPV a 5 out of 10.

Funny but also educationial
9 February 2007
Paul Mooney is truly one of the greatest comedians of all time. He has never ceased to make me laugh, which is why I bought this film. I watched this piece expecting to get only laughs. However, not only did I laugh my butt off, but I was also educated. He has a way of delivering the truth in such a funny way. Unlike most comedy shows, I left this one with knowledge. I received a lesson in Black History that I've never gotten anywhere else. He made me proud to be an African American. I STRONGLY recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of Mooney. Word to the wise...I would not watch this film with a different race. If you are WHITE, approach this film with caution. You will be slightly offended. Whether you like Paul Mooney or hate him, one can't help but respect his style of comedy. This does contain strong language and I don't recommend the presence of children. Never the less, this is truly one of Mooney's finest performance that deserves to be seen.

WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2007 (2006 Video Game)

One of the best wrestling games ever!!!!!!
24 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I just played this game for PS2 and it was flat out awesome. It comletely blows 2006 out of the water. The wrestling's better; the story mode is better; and the animation is right on point. There are more legends on there as well. I highly recommend you buy this game. If you're a parent, give this game to your kid for Christmas. It's worth having!!!!!!! Word of advise: If you're used to 2006's game play, then you may want to switch to Control type "D" for 2007. Trust me, you'll have a much easier time. All I can say is that I won't be going back to the old Smackdown games for a while. I was a little ticked off that Victoria wasn't on there. For some reason, W.W.E. doesn't feel the urge to put her on any of the latest games. And where the heck is Sharmell? None the less, it's one of the best wrestling games in my book. Once you start playing, you won't be able to put it down.

Too funny for words
1 August 2006
I saw this movie on Comedy Central late one night. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Lisa Lampanelli is by far the funniest woman alive. I laughed non-stop at this movie. It's amazing how she can insult someone so strongly and still get laughs. You have got to see this movie before you die. However, put the children to bed because this is not a family film. I almost can't put in words how funny she is. She takes insult comedy to the next level. She makes Triumph "the insult comic dog" look like Wayne Brady. Lisa brings gigantic laughs in this gut-buster comedy. Very highly recommended. Definitely one of the best comedies I've seen in years. MORE LISA LAMPANELLI!!!!!!!

Down right funny

Forget what the last guy said about this movie. If you're looking to pee your pants laughing, then this is the movie for you. Spike Lee is a genius no matter what anyone says. This happens to be one of my favorite movies in the world. You couldn't ask for a better line-up. I had a new found respect for each of these comedians after watching this movie. I strongly recommend you buy this movie. It is worth every penny. If I have to add any criticism, I would say that Cedric "the Entertainer" could have been a little funnier. However, he still gave a great memorable show. After watching his act, you'll understand why they call him "the enteratiner. Awesome movie no matter what the critics say.

Must speak Spanish to enjoy
1 August 2006
The reason I chose to rate this movie so low is because I couldn't understand a word of it. I do NOT recommend this film to anyone unless he/she can speak fluent Spanish. And speak it well. If you can't, you won't get the jokes.....TRUST ME. I assume it was a funny show because I saw people in the audience laughing their heads off. Thankfully, I rented it for a dollar instead of buying it. I just couldn't enjoy it. They would tell part of the joke in English, and then the punchline in Spanish. However, the movie was set up good and it was cool watching one of them drive on stage in a low-rider. But all this movie did was feed me Mexican food that I couldn't pronounce. So I didn't eat it. I would take a Spanish class before partaking of this movie.

Could have been better
1 August 2006
I've always loved Latham Entertainment comedy. The Original Kings of Comedy and Queens of Comedy were true masterpieces. Latin Kings of Comedy was hard to understand because I don't speak Spanish. I looked forward to Latham Entertainment Presents and expected another masterpiece. I was somewhat dissatisfied. Sommore was not funny at all. In fact, she sounded drunk. Ricky Smiley could have been funnier. There were times throughout his segment where I thought he might be booed. D.L. Hughley was nowhere near as funny as he was on Kings of Comedy. However, the only people in my opinion who stole the show were J. Anthony Brown, Bruce Bruce, and Earthquake. Earthquake was definitely my favorite out of the entire cast. A decent move, but not one I suggest you buy. Rent it for a dollar first and see how you like it.
