The need of love from fellow Man...
2 February 2024
Having only ever watched this particular episode one other time I find it particularly apprapo in that I lost my mother earlier this week. She passed this week at age 74 from massive heart attack while visiting family and friends abroad. As I watched this particular episode on MeTv channel tonight I thought about her and my father who passed on a year ago over the Summer. Our family gatherings around the holidays were always fun, and we shared with each other the joys of the holidays and the need by fellow Man for love and understanding. To afford someone far less fortunate love. It's deserved.

Excellent episode...
5 July 2023
Always enjoyed this episode from way back when! It's hard to believe that this series lasted the way that it did and the reruns have stood the tests of time. It is an episode that starts out slowly and builds til the end. Funny lines and Great scenes throughout. It allows for us all to see the talents and abilities of all the actors and, ultimately, Martin Lawrence versatility and comedic timing. He truly is gifted and extremely dedicated to his craft and to comedy. I truly wish that he would get another series and work from there accordingly. I think it would be great! It's something that's long overdue.

Was disappointing, BUT I understand why...
5 July 2023
I always enjoyed Martin! Always very funny and entertaining, but as a fan I was very disappointed the way in which the series was ended BUT I understand why they did it. It was time to call it a series and for everyone to move on, plus all that was reportedly going on between Tisha Campbell and Martin Lawrence it needed to be squashed like that of a beef between friends, but as fans we deserved far better than what we got in the end. In any case the ending was good, and everyone played their parts well. It was great seeing all the entertainers and celebrities that had graced the show over the years! Everyone looked great!

The New Mike Hammer: A Face in the Night (1987)
Season 3, Episode 22

Truly appreciated this episode for sure!
3 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I truly learned a lot with this episode of TNMH. To finally have things come together for Mike and The Face was great even IF she did slip out the backdoor almost immediately after their trist. It made perfect sense for the syndicated series to end this way (a high note). I'm truly disappointed though that it only had one official season of the series because I always enjoyed it. I also learned, for the first time, that Stacey Keach wore a toupee, I assume for the series itself, I just thought for all those years that his hair naturally receded. I'm disappointed to as well that Violet, Mike's Beloved Secretary played by The Beautiful Lindsay Bloom, wasn't in what would be the last episode. Instead they had some geeky looking female temp secretary (Roxy Roker from "The Jefferson's" fame did excellent as a temp secretary for Mike, they should have kept her on IF the producers and writers wanted to write Violet off the show, IDIOTS!) in the final episode, UGH!

It speaks to the lengths that they would go to protect each other....
29 June 2023
In episodes like this it speaks to the lengths that Magnum, Higgins, Rick & T. C. would go to watch out for and protect one another. That's what true love and friendship for each other is all about, and when given an opportunity they'll go to those necessary links. I always enjoyed this episode as well for the part Ian McShane played and then as well the lovely, lovely African Woman. Both played remarkable parts and should be commended for their work. The musical score and the acting is excellent and they all played their parts well together. The back and forth between Higgins and Magnum is great as well!

Tattoo was featured much more prominently here; Enzo the Baker!
18 June 2023
A very enjoyable episode here! I particularly enjoyed seeing more acting, stuff to do, from Tattoo in this one. He was very active in this episode for sure. A very nice appearance from Enzo the Baker and Sal from the original Godfather film in this one for sure. I didn't really care for Doris Roberts adaptation of Southern in this one. Dale Robertson was a class act as always. Grant Goodeve turned in a solid performance for sure! Nice homage to the great Soupy Sales at the end with the food fight and pie tossing. Everyone looked like they had a lot of fun doing that! I can just see a Director yelling, "action" and the crew backing up a safe distance and dawning plastic wrap on them and their filming equipment beforehand, ha! Great episode. Enjoy!

Walker, Texas Ranger: End Run (1993)
Season 2, Episode 5

A hidden gem!
18 June 2023
This was a very clean cut and action-filled episode! Clarence Gilyard, Jr. (RIP) did an excellent job in this episode. His acting was clean and very down to Earth. Truly showing a softer side to Ranger Jimmy Trivette who, in the end, went the extra mile by reuniting long lost family with each other. I particularly enjoyed Chuck Norris acting in this one as well. Sneaking up on the bad guys and kicking butt Walker style! It's what made the character so enduring. It was enjoyable to see longtime actor Henry Kingi in this one as well. I can remember him in this as far back as my childhood in the 1980s. Things like A-Team and Hunter. He always played a; wilee, cagey and stealthy American Indian, aka "The Long, Tall Indian..." he shines without saying a word. Always bad guys though! I've very rarely, if ever, seen him play a good guy in tv or film!?

P. S.

Larry Minetti part in this episode was extremely disappointing to as a fan of his since Black Sheep Squadron and Magnum, P. I. He's an excellent character actor and could've been better used here, IMHO.

How could Grady have been from Chicago IF he was from St. Louis in Ep. 15 of Season 3?
17 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A good episode with one caviot, how can Whitman Mayo's character Grady Wilson been from Chicago IF he was from St. Louis in S3, Ep. 15, "Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe" he was from St. Louis along with Fred and the rest of the Family, knew them all from those days, etc. It doesn't hardly seem logical. Either writers and producers overlooked this fact or they just simply thought people or fans of the show wouldn't notice? They should have stuck with the original storyline and left it be because here came Cousin Emma from Chicago talking about, "they used to call him.... back home in Chicago. Remember Grady?"

One of the more funnier episodes of the series...
17 June 2023
This is one of the more funnier episodes of the series IMHO. I dunno whether it was just the good time seen by the actors for the episode, particularly Fred and Esther's exchange just before Grip arrives, they almost broke character as they were doing the scene a couple times or just Whitman Mayo's timing as Grady in this episode? He truly was funny and brought a liveliness to the series that was enjoyable. He just did a solid job. The other thing was DeMond Wilson as Lamont didn't really have to do a lot in terms of his acting even though the episode was centered around whether or not he was Big Money Grip's Son instead of Fred's. Redd Foxx, LaWanda Paige and Sonny Gaines carried the load ,along with Whitman Mayo, very well! Truly an enjoyable episode.

The Rockford Files: Love Is the Word (1979)

Truly emotional and gripping....
15 April 2023
I enjoy this episode because of the gripping and emotional nature of it and the fact that Jim Rockford loved the lady from the first day he laid eyes on her, and wanted her so bad to wait around for him. Clearly he got busy and she fell to the wayside as a result she found a new man and decided to marry him as the storyline goes. I like this episode in particular though because it displays a side of the curmudgeonly private eye that we don't much see in the series. His vulnerabilities for love and the type of woman that he is genuinely interested in. Clearly the good doctor fit the bill. The End.

Still one of my favorite episodes of the series!
11 April 2023
I absolutely love this particular episode from the series because it really showcases the younger actors talents from the show, and gives them the opportunity to standout on their own and carve their own path within the series. I'm reminded of Shawn Harrison's character Waldo Geraldo Faldo from Illinois and how he came into being. Besides the Urkel character Waldo was his own stand-alone unique to the series character. He earned and deserved every chance that he ever got in the series and beyond that, NO doubts, for his betterment. Presumed Urkel is an episode that never ever gets old. Enjoy!!

Pedro Label as Spider Rico ...
20 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My Family and I truly love this Rocky iteration and I am especially impressed with the Spider Rico character returning from the very first Rocky movie in the franchise, and the way in which he was placed in the film.

Not necessarily as a Chairty Case but as a GREAT friend and confidant. Someone that Rocky truly loved and respected. How Rocky, more or less, ended up taking Spider in as he did, particularly around the restaurant.

I especially loved that just before the fight between Rocky and Mason Dixon Spider could clearly be seen reading scriptures from The Bible with Rocky and praying with him as well. Spider's faith in God and his steadfast love and respect for Rocky truly touched me as did the interactions between Rocky and Little Marie and her son. Very touching and intimate. It's not just all about the boxing in the ring but the interpersonal relationships being built outside the boxing ring.

God bless.

Rocky V (1990)

It may be cheesy, but it's got a lot of heart and emotion like all the other films!
20 February 2023
In my humble opinion this film, like all the other Rocky films, has heart and emotion and because it does I truly appreciate it for those values alone.

Folks say it's, "cheesy" and "overrated" but it gives you the opportunity to see how you can be on top of the World one moment and absolutely down on your luck the next moment.

People say it's, "the ebbs and flows of life..." and that's true in many cases, but with Rocky 5 it's the Balboa Family on top of the World and then back in the old South Philly neighborhood again with nothing but Mickey's Boxing Gym to show for it.

An example for sure!

Kindness counts and LOVE wins out....
19 February 2023
My Family and I truly enjoy this awesome film and anytime that it's on t.v. We ALWAYS watch it!

It's truly a story of the milk of human kindness and how, through that kindness, LOVE is ultimately displayed.

No matter the cause or the stripe, sometimes, often times, people just need kindness and therefore LOVE displayed to them through the; words, deeds and actions of others that have NEVER EVER been displayed to them before.

It's the only things that separate us human beings from the animals or, maybe just maybe, what separates us from the animals and plants?

ENJOY this outstanding film!!!

Warning: Spoilers
THIS film by far is the BEST of the newer films in the franchise so far. Halloween Kills did not at all pick up where THIS film left off. The important characters in this film deserved far better treatment in Halloween Kills. David Gordon Green and Company need to go back too film school!

Am so disappointed!
21 February 2022
As recently as late last night I rented and saw this film for the first time on Dish network. It was the most anticlimactic disjointed waste of nearly two hours and six dollars in my life that I'll NEVER ever be able to get back. IF you value the franchise, particularly the original first two films, you'll heed my advice and not bother renting or buying a DVD or blu-ray disc of it from your favorite Redbox rental booth or Walmart. I pray Halloween Ends is far better otherwise it'll be a clown show like all the ones in between.

Just Say No to Drugs Campaign LHOTP style....
4 February 2022
Aside from For the Love of Blanche and the Christmas reminiscence episode with the Family in the Ingalls home place Home Again, 1 & 2 are amongst my favorites. I'm reminded of former First Lady Nancy Reagan and her Just Say No to Drugs Campaign of the 1980s every time I see it! I often wonder if between Laura Ingalls Wilder's writings and that particular anti-drugs campaign if that's where they got the idea for this two part attention grabber? Watch. Enjoy! Be inspired to fight for your children and their betterment in life always.

Timeless and sweet....
4 February 2022
Aside from Home Again, parts 1 & 2 and the Christmas reminiscence episode with the Family in the house and mountains of snow outside For the Love of Blanche is my favorite! Michael Landon, who wrote and directed this episode, had to have had a good time making this one! They all did I bet. Orangutans are my favorites ever since Clint Eastwood and Right Turn Clyde when I was a kid growing up! Orangutans are endearing and sweet animals. They take on so many human characteristics and are always funny. For the Love of Blanche is extra special LHOTP at its funniest. Watch and enjoy!

The potential was there for a great t.v. series....
4 February 2022
It's one of my all-time favorite episodes of Matlock next to the ones featuring Don Knotts and Andy Griffith together. Peppard was STILL on his game even though he was towards the end of his life ultimately. The P. I. had the makings of a potentially great t.v. Series.

11 January 2022
Having grown up with this classic television series, and in appreciation for COZI TV playing it so regularly I'm giving this slow but building episode five generous stars. They DON'T make um like this EPIC t.v. Series anymore. Quincy was, in its day, unique and one of a kind.

The maturation of the Magnum character and the music
27 August 2021
A top five favorite episode of mine from the original series. We see Magnum really take responsibility, own up to things, we even see he and Higgins really coming together in their friendship. I particularly love the music with this episode. It really plays well with the overall theme of Magnum being pushed over the edge by Qan Ki. He really buckles down and applies his detective skills and Naval Intelligence Officer skill set to find and get information pertinent to exacting revenge on Qan Ki for killing Michelle and Lilly supposedly. Season 8 made for a good final season for the series.

An Angel amongst us....
29 April 2021
Stuart Margolan played an excellent part here! To my mind he's a takes his time actor's actor, never hurrying or rushing himself, but mellowing his way through scene after scene in most of the episode. A TRUE thespian and credit to his craft. But to me he'll always be Angel Martin of Rockford Files fame.

A home spinning episode....
29 April 2021
Even though it's widely known this episode was supposed to've been a pilot episode for a new television series that just didn't pan out its kinda good to know it got used for the inspiration towards "Airwolf"! It's charming and home spinning. Bill Luckling has always been an excellent character actor. And Joanna Kerns will always be remembered for the tv series "Growing Pains". I highly recommend this episode for the avid "Magnum, P. I." fan!

10 April 2021
I loved the underwater photography and filming overall that was done for this particular episode (but I thought it ran slow/borring) , and I do believe this is the first episode of a few repeats of the ole throw off the bow line / cast me off Thomas (you're about ta get soaked brother!) routine for Magnum, P. I. ?? PLEASE, someone, feel free to correct me IF I am wrong? Thank you!
