Timber Falls (2007)
I really enjoyed this flick
Really, a lot of people have been trashing this flick. These people are morons. Believe it coming from me that this movies good, im pretty much the biggest horror film purist/elitist ever. I don't really like modern horror but this movie was pretty entertaining and it was cool seeing this in an empty theater on its opening night. Little flicks like this are a welcome breath of fresh air from all of these gay super hero movies and retarded Seth Rogan comedy's. Im not saying that this flick is the citizen kane of all horror but at least its worth one viewing. The plot of this film has been seen before but its the best sort of plot. A good old fashioned backwoods slasher. The gore in this movie is pretty cool also. Much better then Wrong Turn another modern horror flick that reminds me of this one.
Dead Silence (2007)
Pretty lame and boring
Dead Silence is the new film made by the creators of the first SAW. Let me start off by saying that i annoyed SAW, i didn't love the movie but i it was a worthy entry with the horror genre and you would expect their movie Dead Silence to be a little more...hardcore in terms of subject matter. But no this movie turned into a cliché PG 13(I know i know this movie is rated R) haunted house story with ghosts,a type of film that we have been exposed to for a while now. I don't even understand why this movie was rated R, it should have been rated PG 13,there was no gore in it. I didn't even hear the word ''f uck'' in it at all. This is just another horror/thriller movie that has been made so many times now...another film thats packaged to appeal to the mindless movie going masses. If you want to see a good horror movie made in modern times you should check out The Devils Rejects or James Gunn's Slither, their the only good ones.
Unspeakable (2000)
Brutal,disgusting and BRILLIANT!
Chad Ferrins Unspeakable is not your every day horror film by any means. This film is downright repulsive and disgusting, shot on 16mm film this movie is like The Last House On The Left meets Bill Lustigs Maniac. It revolves around a guy named Jim who gets into a car crash with his wife and little girl in the car. His little girl dies( he liked to molest his little girl) and his wife gets crippled. After this horrible accident Jim goes nuts and starts killing hookers while his wife gets raped by Barry a male nurse who takes care of her. This movie is super twisted, when you watch this film you can see that Chad Ferrin has great talent, a talent that has been prefected with his latest film Easter Bunny Kill! Kill!. Chad Ferrins movies have a great and unique style, once you see this film you will never look at Vegan Chili the same way again! The movie also has some funny scenes involving homeless people....''S*it man! I already paid!''
Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill! (2006)
A true ClasSICK!
Easter Bunny Kill Kill! takes place on Easter eve and Easter. Easter is young retarded Nicholas's favorite Holiday. Nicholas's mother Mindy is a single mom who has a scum bag boyfriend named Remington played flawlessly by Tim Muskatell. Mindy leaves Remington to take care of Nick on Easter and help him have fun but once she leaves Remington takes great pleasure in abusing Nicholas and even sells his body to be molested. Tonight the Easter Bunny will take revenge for Nicholas.
Easter Bunny Kill! Kill! is by far the best modern horror movie that i've seen in a long time aside from other modern classics like The Devils Rejects and Slither. This movie has a sick since of humor to it and is fun to watch. This movie is not a safe horror movie like the mainstream ones being made today. This is a type of horror movie that you would see being made in the 1970's,its brutal and doesn't hold back. There is some great acting in this film, Tim Muskatell and Trent Haaga steal the spotlight with their great talents. If your a true horror movie fan and if you enjoy movies like The Last House On The Left then check this movie out! If your a fan of underground directors like Jim Van Bebber then check this movie out! If your a fan of good horror movies in general then go and see this movie! True underground horror film making is back with the forces of Chad Ferrin and Trent Haaga!
