Conmovedora y creativa
14 July 2022

Beautiful...but incredibly dead.
6 January 2022
I strongly believe that what was intended here is innovative. This is not your everyday vampire movie, but just because the plot-twist is anything but exciting or mind-blowing.

I can tell that they tried to accomplish some sort of artistic photography, which resulted in the best factor of this film. However, the story is flat, boring and its photography just can't carry the whole film; in fact, it reminded me a lot of Neon Demon and rather interested me into rewatching that movie, which I could definitely say is not among my favorites.

ICONIC
14 November 2021
I still don't get why the show got cancelled, as far as I know, this was the last descent and actually enjoyable TV series on Disney, it was funny and ingenious with awesome characters and an incredible love plot between Ethan and Sarah, which we didn't get to see if something really happened, gotta cry.

If a new season or second movie could be on plans, so we could get a proper finale, the producers must know we DON'T want a kind of "new generation" with new actors or new characters, we want to know what happened to these with the awesome cast it had.

This was and IS my favorite show ever, hope I am alive when the proper finale airs.

Big meh...but hey, meh!

There's nothing marvelous in this film. However, it works if you're not in the mood for something too complicated or a conventional action film.

"The future was in our hands, uncertain and promising".

This film has left me just speechless. It's touching, simple and incredibly beautiful.

Goodbye, Lenin! Is mainly about Alex's love for his mother through Germany's story. That's everything but wrong; the film may have caught my attention because of that context I wanted to learn more about, but that insanely loving plot is more than enough for me to say this is one of my favorite movies ever.

Quite different British drama!

Warning: Spoilers
Some hours ago when I was still in the very first part of the film, I'd have simply said this film is about caring, sisterhood and overcoming the unknown some years ago. However, now that I've finished it I'm quite confused, but glad I did finish it; Ladies in Lavender it's such a beautiful film, characteristic of the country and overall surprisingly good. I've met myself smiling and screaming at my pillow because of how cute is the whole plot, yet sad...

I highly believe that one-sided love is a term not often exposed in cinema because of the disappointment of the audience that is expecting a somehow happy ending in which the couple gives themselves a chance. Still, this time was necessary not only because of the huge age gap but for us to see Ursula's healing journey, one where she eventually let go. Literally, we saw that through her letting go Andrea's piece of hair and leaving from the orchestral party just at the end of the film, that was pretty obvious, yet necessary.

Besides that, I'd like to highlight Daniel's (Andrea) acting and naturalness with the violin, as well as Judi Dench and Maggie Smith's overly amazing portrayal. It was touching.

Unexpectedly good and deep.
23 June 2021
As I read some reviews, I can notice we all happened to live in a similar context with our decision to press that 'play' button, and that it's thinking this is a comedy movie. Well, I thought that, and I was in the whole mood for laughter, and don't get me wrong, I did laugh, but what I did the most was crying: "Instant Family (2018)" is a great and simple movie about adopting, one that shows us the ups and downs of this situation that happens to save a bunch of lives.

This movie is unexpectedly good and deep, but somehow it makes you laugh in the middle of your ugly crying. Great work done here.

Knives Out (2019)

Uncommonly great
8 May 2021
It's a great film of mystery and comedy genre that I loved, as you all have no idea. In my opinion, it is a fresh film of the genre that keeps you excited all the time, you really feel like you are in the typical board game "Clue", and I can already tell you that it has a 10 out of 10 finales.

So if you feel like getting detective and antique vibes, then check out this story in which, after the death of a renowned mystery writer, his entire family is on the suspect list. Who did it? Find out by watching Knives Out.

Finally, some deep film.
28 March 2021
Hi, there. I've been listening to the critics for a while now, and I wasn't sure about whether to watch this film or not, anyway, I did despite the quite terrible reviews, and I'm just glad I did. I will warn you, by the beginning and the middle of "Sidney Hall" you will feel the thing is going really slowly and it's because it does, without mentioning the part that it gets a little bit confusing because of the mysterious manner, making the audience to lose attention by the middle of the film; anyways, the great finale is just gold and, as I said, deep, also completely worthy for you to finish it.

Please, I beg you. Give it a chance, I left the movie 30 minutes to the end for almost a week, and you do not have any idea how glad I am it's still not down from Prime Video UK (leaves the platform in 4 days though) so I could cry the way I did. Also, I have got to mention that the film may be quite slow, but the actors are just incredible, especially (and obviously) Logan Lerman and Elle Fanning.

I would have given it a 10 but, as I said multiple times now, it is really slow, and you lose control for it to finish, though the finale is worthy.

Decent but "meh"
20 March 2021
I'll be honest, I didn't expect much when I dared to watch this film, in fact, from the very first scene I thought "Gosh, this seems like one of those cheesy and nonsense Lifetime movies" (and it's kind of like that), but even though I would not say this is the greatest movie ever, I would neither say it's a terrible one; "10 Things We Should Do Before We Break Up" is an actually interesting movie for a good hour, seriously though, I'm the most impatient person and I didn't feel like "OMG, end up already" since it's in fact a pretty short movie. Talking about a deeper manner, characters are not great though and a lot of people say they're actually unbearable, I might not disagree but at least I'd say they're not perfect but human.

The plot is simple but slow for almost an hour, the final stage of her pregnancy goes very fast and we, as an audience, just feel really cold about it, the finale is just "meh", I'd say is unpredictable because I never thought they would dare to end it just like that like I get the fact they're not meant to be, but there's no catharsis, neither an evolution of the characters. By the end, I was just like, "Really?"

Anyway, I'm giving it a 4 since I liked the first part, only that.

We need to see more of Evan!Pietro
13 February 2021
I've been loving the episodes since the beginning, but Evan Peters' character has been hilarious and iconic since X-Men, and we need that energy in the MCU.

I'm just praying, so Mephisto leaves his body, and then he could be introduced as an another-universe Pietro. That would be awesome and just perfect.

Anyway, if that's not planned, please, I beg Marvel to introduce him as a new superhero. That's what he deserves.

Warning: Spoilers
I just gotta say that this series is already undoubtedly awesome for it to HANDLE THAT MIND BLOWING CAMEO...for real though, if they are presenting Pietro from X-Men not for introducing them into the whole MCU they'll be wasting the greatest idea ever. Evan Peters as Pietro is iconic and necessary.

The familiar version of "Zombieland"
2 February 2021
First, I have got to say this film is just awesome, if you like apocalypse-type of movies you will surely love this one. In fact, I think this is a refreshing one among a whole list of movies like 'Resident Evil' and more, franchises that might be good enough to conquer the genre, but sometimes cliché enough to bore at some point. That's the glow with movies like 'Zombie land' and 'Love and Monsters', its comedy relieves the audience and make the plot look a lot more relatable for us, the audience that doesn't know karate and will surely die on the first day of the end of the world... Joel is not your everyday badass superhero of an apocalyptic movie, and we love him for that, surely Dylan O'Brien was born to play him.

'Love and Monsters' manages to, besides attaching us to him, to feel Joel's fears and live his flaws, we get to question ourselves in a nearly philosophical odyssey, settle or don't to settle even in the end of the world...we even actually get to cry. The film has that "feeling" that much sci-fi action movies lack and only approach by killing the sidekick or anyone else, and that's really worthy, so I'm really looking forward to a sequel or a TV show. (The second option kinda rocks more though)

Kim Possible (2019 TV Movie)
2/10
I guess it's kind of okay for its target audience
30 January 2021
Not gonna lie, there are far better movies made for Disney Channel, but all of them are sort of kinky and stupid, so this movie is pretty much the same.

Anyway, as a user that was a huge fan of the original animated series, this is really disappointing since that TV show was actually an interesting comedy with badass characters, meanwhile...I don't know if it's because of Disney Channel doing it, but everything seems fake and im-possible- to happen or barely able, so we can believe the film. The characters are flat and stupid, like for real, Shego used to be this awesome anti-hero and here she's just "meh", same thing with Kim, while the villain...haha...lame. (Honorific mention for Ron, he's pretty decent and totally resembles the animated version since it's funny, a dork and OMG, the actor managed to sound like him)

However, I don't want to be rude since it's kind of a movie for kids and pre-teens, so if you want to cringe for an hour and a half, Kim Possible (2019) is for you.

Making a movie from an intriguing character was always a huge task to do, but this movie easily does it in body and soul, achieving to conquer audience's attention with a depressingly beautiful photography and plot. God bless Sam Riley and his -always magnificent- work.

Artemis Fowl (2020)
3/10
Awkward.
29 January 2021
I know this film is based in a book, but I certainly think it should have stayed there.

First, presenting a clever boy as some kind of god may be interesting between the lines of a whole saga of books, expecting him with some 'human' facts from him of course, but this film decides to throw that essential part of our little lead boy, Artemis, making him unbearable to watch without cringing.

He's so annoying and there's no possible way to relate with him and his story since he doesn't have flaws like the audience, that's the glow that the writers put on their characters naturally, and by this time of the cinema industry I thought that was a tool used as common sense.

Besides having flat and annoying characters, this film seems like a 'decent special effects' version of Spy Kids, but please don't ever think this film is funny or intriguing like the iconic saga of Robert Rodriguez, that saga was ridiculous, and they know it, meanwhile... Artemis Fowl was made thinking this was a good version of Spy Kids, a movie that not even children would like since it's too serious for a kid lead role.

In conclusion, this is an incoherent movie that doesn't quite entertain the audience, it is not for a fan of the books or anyone that hasn't read them. I'm giving it a three just because I liked how it looked with the huge house, the beach, some customs and the CGI. That's it.

Dumb, shirtless and still funny!
8 January 2021
Just as the first one, The Babysitter saga is hilarious and interesting to see at any time, there's literally no chance, so the audience can get too bored and stare at their phones because the movie goes with the plot in such an easy and fun way to watch, achieving to be one of the best silly movies for teens who just want to laugh...seriously though, these movies are dumb, and they know it, that's its charm because they're not trying too much, they just want to be funny and interesting, and undoubtedly get to achieve that in a smooth way.

So, if you don't want to watch something serious, some A24 masterpieces, Oscar deserving movies with plots that will mess up your mind, but instead want something cool enough to make you smile for a couple of hours...THE BABYSITTER SAGA IS FOR YOU!

Refreshing
7 January 2021
As a hardcore fan of the original The Craft and also a "teen-in-2020", I gotta say I really enjoyed the movie, sincerely, I'm in love with all these witches movies but unfortunately, the better ones were made many years ago, that's why I loved to see how this plot worked through an actual scenario for us, the nowadays teenagers like me, that turned out to make me feel like I could totally live this story, of course, while relating to the characters.

So its work to conquer its target market was successfully accomplished, despite that love I gotta be honest by admitting this movie is a whole mess with weak plots and unnecessary facts of it, anyway, I really appreciate how relatable the movie can be for a teenager in these days, while the whole legacy point of Lily is actually pretty interesting.

For the record, If you don't want to watch this movie just because you think this is a reboot of The Craft, let me tell you this works as a sequel, so there's no need to compare.

This show may not be the best one because of its poor edition and dynamism, but I have got to say it is highly entertaining and real because of the talent of the whole cast.

Give it a chance if you're interested, promise it'll not let you down.

Simply beautiful.
28 December 2020
Such a quite entertaining movie we got here, it is beautiful, and I can assure you it's ageless, the audience (or well, at least me...okay, that's pitiful) can easily empathize with the lead role in a form that gets us to sort of comprehending why she did that, I mean, people are dying to not feel alone at all, we all deserve a family and that family deserved feeling closer to their son through his fiancée. Sandra Bullock does a cute and human work at portraying Lucy, while the whole cast makes the audience feel part of the narrative at being so warm and kind; nevertheless, the setup is on the edge of ludicrous even though it works.

Another Disney teenage drama
28 December 2020
First, I have got to say they dedicated too much time to a simple plot like I surely got the idea of a film with intersectional stories, but I'm sure it could have been done in less time and still achieving the script's goal; anyway, I'd say that, despite that natural term and on the edge of cliché from their characters, this film is pretty decent considering the common tendency in a whole wide list of corky teen dramas made by Disney. Also, the soundtrack is great, again...considering the tendencies.

Finally, I will not criticize this movie if it had to apply to the Oscar, so I can only mention I enjoyed it, so...if this movie showed up to you in Disney +, just like it happened to me, give it a try.

Got high hopes for the 3rd one...
27 December 2020
I'd say the sequels are always terrible compared to the first ones and unfortunately, it happens with the all mighty movie of Maleficent back in 2014, anyway, I consider this sequel as an undoubtedly good one in a whole wide list of sequels ever made.

In fact, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is deeply highlighted by the magnificent photography it holds, given that every single scene is carefully made to be beautiful, each scene was shot taking care about the parallelism and that's something I highly recognize.

Considering the visuals and actors, this movie is nice to watch, but not really to love...the script is so weird and odd...boring I'd say, it does not entertain at all and it shows, I didn't enjoy it as I did with the first one and that is disappointing...I missed the dark essence even though this movie is brighter enough to see every detail, I missed a simple but entertaining story, I missed that highly awesome duo between Maleficent and Diaval, a duo I'd say is my favorite due to their dynamism, esthetic and compatibility, in fact, I truly hated that Sam Riley barely appears in this one, so that's another opportunity to strengthen for the third movie.

Please, don't ever get me wrong, I didn't enjoy it all this movie, but I'm dying to watch another one given that, despite the flaws, I still think that Maleficent's films are the best live-action movies Disney has ever made, reimagining classics with an innovative and never expected way through an anti-hero story instead of your everyday princess tale.

Soul (2020)
10/10
A must watch
26 December 2020
Okay, I didn't expect to say this but, I really think we've seen one of the greatest animated films ever made, for real I can assure you that Soul is everything about understanding your soul, but in a light and in a surprisingly realistic way for a movie made for children (apparently).

I'd say Soul is the Wall-e of the 20s decade and even though I guess that unfortunately, Soul will not be as iconic as Wall-e for a couple of reasons like it wasn't released on theaters due to the pandemic and that sometimes the audience doesn't appreciate great messages...despise of that, I truly admire what has been done here, and I just hope to show this to my children one day, and why not? My entire family and every soul I could ever meet. They need this message.

Maleficent (2014)
10/10
One of the best Disney live action (still) by far
24 December 2020
Something usually criticized at this whole revival era of Disney's classics is the fact that they can be easily (and not fairly) compared to the original ones; in fact, usually these new movies are just a "copy and paste" of the classics, making it boring and not original, for example, "The Lion King (2019)". On the other hand, these live action movies can be completely new and different, but making it go strongly away from the movie inspiration and goals.

It is therefore why I believe Disney is truly messing up at investing in this type of productions, which many of them turn out with horrible critics and miserable box office (sometimes), despise of that, Maleficent (2014) may be the exception to a full list of disappointments, this movie is visually stunning and innovative with a plot that may regret the original Sleeping Beauty but gladly turning it into an amazing anti hero story instead of your everyday princess tale.

Furthermore, Fanning's and Jolie's work is magnificent, they managed to represent the whole idea of their roles just as the classic one, specially it is nice to have an Aurora portrayed by an actress that actually resembles the real (and surprisingly short just like the rest of Disney's princesses) age of the role.

Honorific mention to Sam Riley and his great character, whose personally I'd say is my favorite of the entire movie.
