Very average even by Bollywood standard of biopic
Disappointed as I had a very high expectation from this Kabir Khan film. 1st half is so boring! Unfortunately I was in a theatre and not on OTT, so couldn't fast-forward. Climax is the savior but can easily be replaced by the old DVD recording of the match. My biggest issue is with Ranveer Singh being full of caricatures while trying to ape Kapil Dev & why those brown skinned makeup & all! U dont need to look like Kapil Dev to play Kapil Dev. Ranveer should have taken a clue or two from some of the best sports biopics.
Atrangi Re (2021)
A perfect family entertainer with its flaws
Its a simple but twisted & entertaining bollywood flick that I could sit with my family & watch after a long time. Agreed, it has its flaws in dealing with few subjects but then which movie hasn't. And those flaws get covered up with an endearing presentation by the Director, beautiful cinematography showing heartland India and some fantastic performances. Dhanush is brilliant as usual, Akshay is impressive in his short role, but, its Sara Ali Khan who mightily impressed me! She is endearing & pitch perfect - OTT when its needed, mellowed with innocence & emotions when needed as well. Recommended.
Durgamati: The Myth (2020)
Horror movie turned into Horror comedy
While trying to make a horror movie, it has turned out to be a comedy one, specially due to the hilarious horror scenes. Climax twist will leave audience empty-headed. Scene by scene copy of a film which was mainly for Telegu audience to create one for Hindi movie audience should have been avoided. Bhumi struggles to emote in various scenes, tries to copy Anushka but fails badly
Laxmii (2020)
Below Average Experience!!
The Comedy is horrific and the horror is comical....this sums up the movie. Also, watching 54 yr old (looking visibly old) Akshay romancing 28 Yr old Kaira adds to the cringe level further. Better to watch Kanchana in YTube
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)
A great story lost to a surname
A great story, brilliant supporting cast, decent direction. But, what fails the movie is the one dimension expression of Janhvi Kapoor. Well, paid media reviews tried to claim it to be realistic portrayal, but unfortunately it's nothing short of bad, bland, expression less acting of the lead. One can't help but feel sad about the fact that how a powerful actress would have done wonders with this movie
Shakuntala Devi (2020)
Overacting... Everything is over
Overacting... Everything is over.... They could have made a simple, brilliant film by not adding masaala in it.. It could have been the best movie of the year. But unfortunately no... Really disappointed.
Dil Bechara (2020)
Class Act by SSR
This movie makes us realize what a class actor Bollywood has lost
