I wasted 40 minutes of my life watching this. It's not a disaster movie, it's a disastrous movie. I'm late to the party with this review, so suffice it to say, read all previous bad reviews and take note.

Religious propaganda thinly veiled as an inspirational sports movie. Awful.

Started off well enough from the storyline point of view, despite the mostly dull flat acting. But as the movie progresses a sprinkling of religious *prayer will save you" moments occur, the first warning bells of worse to come. At about the halfway mark the movie reveals itself as a full blown and nauseous evangelical propaganda excercise. If the producers thought they were going to insidiously seduce viewers to their spiritual point of view, it was an epic fail. Not worth your time of day.

Given the hype, and seeing the impressive cast list, we settled down to watch this movie with high expectations. But after a promising start, it was all downhill. The plot became confusing, and characters relevance and interactions unclear. At first I thought it was just me, but the whole family were left totally lost and disappointed . Frankly, a disjointed, bewildering mess, leaving you with a "what just happened" feeling. Don't waste your time!

Having read through other reviews, I'm astounded by how many positive comments this movie has. I love horror/ suspense movies, and have been an avid reader of Stephen King novels. But this was a disjointed meaningless mess. At times, it gave the impression of being the product of a sick, even psychotic, mindset, with undertones of a quasi moralistic / religious intent. The synopsises trying to justify the movie are of the "king's new clothes" variety. This film has no redeeming features. Avoid it like the plague.
