Satan's Triangle (1975)
Kept me up for weeks
I saw this movie when I was twelve and it scared me for months. The plot provided so many twist and turns and I can still see Kim Novack's toothy smile and devilish eyes as she chuckles to her demon self. I have not seen this on TV since I was a kid, I wish it would show up somewhere. Well Done!
Miracle Mile (1988)
Forget Maltin's Comments
Typical Maltin--overanalyzing everything that he sees. Miracle Mile is a good love story twisted within a good Sci-Fi plot. Anthony Edwards plays the down-trodden lover very well, you root for him in his quest to land the girl. Throw in the end of the world and you have a strange yet entertaining film. Tell Maltin to relax and quit being so straight laced.
Tommy (1975)
A pleasant piece of hack work
Tommy is an experiment gone bad...A Frankenstien monster of the 1970's. Putting this tale of the deaf, dumb and blind boy on the big screen does have its morbid fascination, kind of like watching the XFL; and Tina Turner does make for a great Acid Queen. But the plot is run down with obvious symbolism and feeble attemps of Dark Humor. The effort is there, the product is not...
Freebird: The Movie (1996)
A great American Band
This movie will show the musicial strenghts of Lynyrd Skynyrd. During an era which bands depended on glitzy stage props and exotic gimmicks to attract an audience, Lynyrd Skynyrd's no frill approach to their craft was refreshing and pure. Freebird the Movie captures what true American Rock and Roll is all about
