Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Overhyped
Cheesy, overhyped drivel. I must've watched a completely different film to most people that have reviewed it.
The actors in the film played classic stereotypical characters, which you couldn't take seriously and had totally unbelievable dialogue, which no real human that I've ever witnessed would speak like.
If you enjoy films were you can just shut your brain off, ignore the cringy dialogue and just watch fast planes then this film is for you.
I waited for this film to be released on normal television and I'm glad I did because it is not worth spending a fortune in the cinema for. It's kind for Mr Cruise to feature his poorly friend, but val Kilmer's bizarre plastic surgery is also very off-putting and could've been left out entirely.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)
Disappointing
The campaign was pretty good, but the multiplayer side of things is a complete mess. The User interface (UI) is all over the place and not easy to navigate. They've experimented with a new perk system which is a complete shambles. The gunsmith has become unnecessarily complicated; for some reason you need to use other guns to unlock attachments for the gun that you are using or want to use. It is completely baffling to me why they've changed so much (for the worse) after the success of MW2019.
As of writing this you are currently unavailable to check your statistics such as wins, kill/death ratio so on and so forth; I imagine they will add this in near future as this has been a staple of call of duty for many years. There are also a number of game modes missing most notably the hardcore mode which a lot of people are extremely frustrated by. Overall I give this game a 5/10 would be higher if I was only reviewing the campaign, but the online multiplayer has been lacklustre to say the least.
No Time to Die (2021)
Disappointing
Very American, terrible CGI, over the top action sequences and terrible Russian accents. One of the things that made Daniel Craig's other bond films enjoyable was the more realistic approach, this film almost completely gets rid of that.
