Monarch (2022)

Weren't any American actors available? How about country singers who can sing and act?

Based on first episode, the accents are really bad. British accents don't translate to Texas accents very well. Very inconsistent. I loved Anna Freil as Marcella on PBS/Masterpiece.

I'm a huge country music fan. It seems there has to be country singers who can act, or actors who can sing country. Sorry Trace, you're a good singer.

The fancy clothes are, well, fancy. Susan Sarandon's clothes are great. Do sisters always have to compete and fight? Can't they both be successful singers? And the son is looked down on by the father and they can't get along, so cliche.

I watched this episode beginning to end. The ending has an interesting twist. I doubt I will watch future episodes. Don't think it will last past 3 episodes if it's not revamped. Just my opinion.🤷‍♀️

Angelyne (2022)

Loved it!

I loved Angelyne! Emmy was fabulous in the role of over-the-top Angelyne. The entire cast was great. It wasn't mean spirited or ridiculing, just sweet. Angelyne was the first celebrity who was famous for being famous. Long before the obnoxious K family.

Watch it for the entertainment value and don't expect high drama. You'll probably enjoy it!

Ozark (2017–2022)

Season 4 - I love Richard Thomas

I've had a crush on Richard Thomas for many years. So happy to see him on Ozark!

Ozark's S4 is better than 3 previous seasons, IMO. Marty, Wendy and Ruthie are quite the team...sorry to see the series is ending.

Maid (2021)

OK, sometimes frustrating

I watched all episodes. It was OK but frustrating because Alex made very questionable choices. She has no friends yet lives in the town she grew up in, she's at least 3rd generation. Her family (mother, father, baby daddy) are all pieces of crap but she does cut ties with them. Constant battles.

Nate adored her and child, she couldn't have cared less. Regina came thru in the end with her connections.

Did Sean, baby daddy, ever wash his hair? It was greasy and icky in each episode. Her dad looks homeless, we know he's not.

Familial poverty, addiction, denial.

Blithe Spirit (2020)

Very cute movie!

I don't know what some ppl expect from a light comedy. This movie is worth watching, it's very entertaining. I'm a big fan of Dan Stephens, Leslie Mann and Isla Fisher. And Judy Dench as the medium was perfect.

The clothes and set design are fabulous! Just watch it for those things!

Cinderella (I) (2021)

This movie was very cute and enjoyable. I don't know what y'all watched that you gave it such bad reviews. Doesn't seem to be the same Cinderella I just watched.

The music was great, as we're the costumes. Acting was good. Overall it's worth watching. I'll watch it again!

Hacks (2021– )

Why bash Vegas?

It's an ok show, not great but beats watching the news or vapid talk shows on a Thursday afternoon. Jean Smart is better than this. Hannah Einbender as Ava has potential, maybe in something else.

PLEASE stop bashing Las Vegas. Is there a point to the bashing? Las Vegas is not everyone's cup of tea, but for millions it's a pretty good place!

Rebel (2021)

It's ok, hoping it gets better.

Pilots are always iffy because characters and premises are being introduced. If after 3rd episode, it hasn't improved, I'll stop watching. That's how shows on ABC are, I mostly don't watch them.

I like the main characters. But what I especially love is that Mary McDonnell and Adam Arkin are on this show. 2 of my all-time favs!
