Inside No. 9: Merrily, Merrily (2022)
Bittersweet Opener
Really enjoyable opening episode. To me the ending was the best part (alongside Marks return to working with Steve and Reece).
The episode felt similar to Bernie Clifton and 12 days of Christine in terms of how moving it was once we discovered how Laurence's character had died and how he was now with his wife.
Overall a very good episode.
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter Two - War of the Sontarans (2021)
Very Good
Enjoyable, nice to see Karvanista back again and the cliff-hanger was great.
One negative is that Dan seems to be very underwhelming, I think he'll get better. Loved the inclusion of his parents.
Bring on next week.
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter One - The Halloween Apocalypse (2021)
The Flux is coming
Okay, I know the episode is not a ten but I know this episode will be bogged down by other reviews because it's messy or confusing or "too woke" (when it really wasn't).
As a setup to a six part story it was fun, had interesting story setups and cool new villains or redesigns of previous ones. Okay, Karvanista was a little over the top, but I think that's intentional.
The music was much better than it has been, the dialogue seems to have improved and so does the acting. And now that Ryan and Graham are gone it's a lot better, Dan seems like an improvement on them.
American Horror Story: Pale (2021)
Grabs you from the start
I love this episode and season so far, episode one was good, and now this, is one of the best AHS episodes I've ever seen. Loved every moment and the general idea for 'Red Tide' is very strong.
Inside No. 9: Last Night of the Proms (2021)
PATRIOTISM VS NATIONALISM
This episode was amazing, it had so many layers, maybe I'm a bit thick but it took me a couple watches to fully get everything. Once I did the episode became even more enjoyable. Acting was phenomenal, there was a good message and a very very original storyline.
Inside No. 9: Hurry Up and Wait (2021)
Not as good as last week, better than the first two
Which is to say a lo as "Simon says" was very good. Although they completely underused Adrian Dunbar and the twist could've been seeded a LOT better. I still laughed out loud multiple times, felt uneasy and had a hell of a time. So, yeah. All around really good episode. A few elements need work but thoroughly enjoyable. Can't wait for next week!...
Inside No. 9: Lip Service (2021)
wow, what a twist
Amazing episode, strong acting, writing, a really great twist. The only thing I found jarring was Reece's character, but I won't spoil anything.
Definitely one of those no.9's worthy of multiple rewatches.
Inside No. 9: Simon Says (2021)
Really enjoyable while being deeply disturbing
Everything from direction, music, to acting. After last weeks pretty mediocre outing I didn't know what to expect from, "Simon Says", but I am pleasantly surprised. Really great episode.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
I wish patty Jenkins didn't decide she could write as well as direct.
4/10
First of all let me state that I love the DC universe in every type of media and thought the first movie was a great outing for Wonder Woman, but this film... good god.
It starts out well enough with a message on how cheating is bad which leads to a massive amount of foreshadowing. So far the film is just fine, then we are taken to the eighties. I have a question.. why does every scene have to remind us that the film is set in the eighties, I lived through it and it was not as multicoloured and all in your face as this movie was. Plot holes are a big factor of the movie, in one scene the main characters have to travel to Egypt in order to hunt the main baddie. But one of the main characters has been posessed by Steve Trevor a man from the forties. NOTE- Steve was bought back from death into the eighties by Diana's wish but he is in another mans body.
So Diana says they can't fly as Steve doesn't have a passport, but to everyone else he's just a random man? So surely this random man has a passport lying around.
At the end of the film the cluster**** ends with a scene about taking away your wish and not having to cheat to get what you want. Everyone has to renounce their wishes for the end of the world to stop. Surely other than wasting our time trying to get everyone to renounce their wishes, someone could just wish for it to stop? Or for everyone to take back their wishes? Or even to kill the main baddie? Or on the best of occasions make them wish that this film was never made.

Doctor Who: Revolution of the Daleks (2021)
Actually decent
This was pretty decent it probably deserves a six to seven but I'm just trying to even the score. At the biggest push it's an 8. Better than parts of the last series, I just want this show to get back to its original heights yet I think with each passing chins series the show gets slightly better.
Bring on series 13!!! But please don't make it crap.
Spitting Image: Episode #1.1 (2020)
I laughed
It was very funny, a few mediocre sketches, one bad one, but I didn't mind because that's how the old ones were but the majority had me gasping for air, especially mini Kevin hart, Greta Thunberg and Prince Harry as Hitler. I don't get why people aren't liking no this, it makes me very self conscious to hear other people hate something I enjoyed but hey ho. As long as next week holds up. This and doc who is the only reason I have britbox, I'll cancel after spitting Image finishes tho.
10/10- maybe I'm just being nostalgic!
The Rental (2020)
For a directorial debut! Very good
Dave Franco, widely known for comedy, branches out this time to horror instead of being in front of the camera he's behind it. Having written and directed this fun horror I can't wait to see what's next.
Quiz: Episode #1.1 (2020)
Interesting
Very good, fluent writing. Snappy and clever dialogue. Directing is good and stands out like the dialogue. Acting is great and the story is very compelling. I went back and watched the actual Who wants to be a millionaire episode. A good first episode.
Friday Night Dinner: Dad's Birthday (2020)
Fun
It was quite funny and a return to the standard FND has come to achieve after last weeks imp in quality.
Inside No. 9: The Stakeout (2020)
Sake-out
The best writing since series three, the directing was superb and captured the mood perfectly.
Doctor Who: The Timeless Children (2020)
No.
I'm stopping right now... you can't just change the lore of the show like that. I'm actually done and I never thought I'd say that.

Doctor Who: Ascension of the Cybermen (2020)
Way better
I've hated this series so far, apart from the odd few episodes. Mainly the companions as they're not strong enough which is why I was relieved when they were split up and given more to do like real companions. The doctors dark side is where Jodie Whittaker shines. My problem with this one was that the script and the dialogue felt unreal and strange at times. The script wasn't so good but overall with the master coming back this is a pretty enjoyable episode.
Inside No. 9: Love's Great Adventure (2020)
No.9
Incredible well done for delivering a perfect episode
Doctor Who: The Haunting of Villa Diodati (2020)
Improvement
The Chibnall era should focus on the past more as its best episodes are historical ones. Best episode of this season by miles, but still not perfect. The doctor is no longer the doctor for me. She gives in easily.
Inside No. 9: Death Be Not Proud (2020)
Great twist
Psychoville was my favourite by these two and this crossover was both genius and perfect. Thank you so much.
Doctor Who: Can You Hear Me? (2020)
Boring drivel
What a waste of time. The story was a filler with nothing to offer. Dialogue felt unreal and the doctor came off as an idiot while giving an excuse to Graham to not comfort him, or maybe the writer couldn't think of what to say to comfort him with.
Pros
The timeless child was mentioned for a split second in a dream sequence and Grace was back.
Cons
The preachy story. The whole episode had a theme of mental health issues as the last one did with pollution. I just want to watch a sci fi show. If done right I could enjoy this. But it's not subtle at all and takes over the entire episode.
The script wasn't the best at all
Pretty much everything else.
At least next week we have a ghost story if done right I could get some quality viewing for once since Chibnall took over the show.
Doctor Who: Praxeus (2020)
What the hell
This was too politically correct. The writing was terrible and the plot was something to be seen in a documentary about pollution. Stabbing dr who in the back
Doctor Who: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror (2020)
Oh, brilliant!
Solid script, good acting, from some parts and a good story. Well done hope they don't mess up next week...
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part Two (2020)
Perfect
Perfect ending to a perfect two parter I'm so glad dr who is finally good again after last season.
