Wonder why I even sat through the movie

People who have rated this movie a 8+ are simply joking with you all. They want you to sit through the torture just like everyone who has watched and they are just sadistic.. Take my word and stay home.. Or since this goes out of theaters soon.. don't buy the DVD or even rent it..

The movie is pretty slow.. The only Drive he does is ONE crash stunt and ONE chase scene in the ENTIRE movie. So, imagine.. The movie is about drive and this has NO action.. This is a drama kind of art movie not for the commercial theaters.

And come to Acting..this guy does not talk the entire movie.. The hero lies to the actress. She finds out, she slaps him.. And his response - He goes on talking about how much he loves her.. Not even the craziest of lovers will deliver such a sad dialog.

take a break.. watch another movie.

In Pursuit of Satisfaction

First of all, I was drawn by the topic. Though it is common, European art movies are known to bring out the emotions really well.

Initially, the movie went nowhere but after a while, it picked up pace and the Love, Marriage, Sex, Fight, Infidelity are all brushed through pretty quick.

Though it is quick, it makes a point on the emotions of the female lead very well, the thoughts, expressions, disgust, disappointment are all captured really well. There is enough nudity to be rated mature. But definitely shown enough to emphasize the sexual desires of the character. It is titillating to an extent..

She joins a brothel later and thoroughly enjoys the sex and experience with an open mind. Though dejected later because her love for a client fails and realizes there isn't guy who loves her truly, she finally accepts her desires, emotions, quits the prostitution and goes on with her life.

I liked this for the subject being presented in a very good way and explores the human fantasies and desires tastefully. It is a must watch for Independent film fans and art film fans. It is not a commercial movie material for sure.

The Mist (2007)

Waste of time

Was keen on watching the movie. Spent 2 full hours watching the on demand. Characters have no depth.. No one in the movie could act. It was very predictable... No substance.. Dialogs were sad.. Dialog delivery lacked essence and strength.

Ending was weird.. but not awesome to aw about...

I would have watched something else instead.. The only person who has acted well is the guy with the gun..He was funny..

The cashier girl was hot.. Military guys were dumb.. The politician lacked common sense.. the Christian lady was stupid... The gun didn't have enough bullets.. The bugs took so long to break into the store full of glass windows....How it got 7*, it doesn't make sense..

Rear Window (1954)

Movie very boring and predictable

I don't know what the people find so interesting about the movie.. First of all, everybody's lives are taking place with 'open windows'.. This is very unlikely in a neighborhood. Assuming this is the plot of the movie and watching it, you will not be surprised if you fall asleep. The movie progresses very slowly and I almost slept away once. Had to play the movie again and force myself to watch it during day time.

There is no twist in the movie. No turns, no thrill or no suspense.. Everything moves as expected and the climax is also bad. Better not watch it and waste your time.. Go for Vertigo or Rebecca. They are better..

Ultimate fun throughout

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The film is entirely fun and you cant stop laughing at the silly things that happen in the movie. Though it gets a little boring for a short while, overall the movie is a blast. The scenes are executed well. The Hollywood spoof of the movie was just fun and rocking. Anna Nicole Smith is amazing in her sex appeal and has done justice to her part.

The actors have done their part well and the movie entertains you completely. Though the jokes are silly and not realistic, a movie is to entertain and this justifies its purpose. A nice watch over a Saturday afternoon.
