I Am Autism (2009)
@#%! Autism Speaks
Where to begin. I've heard a lot about this video and felt the need to watch it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I knew it was anything but fairy tales and rainbows. Within the first 10 seconds, I grew more hatred than I ever thought I could. When is this trash organization gonna realize that autism is not a disease and should not be cured? We autistics have struggles, but autism is not bad. Autistics can be and have been very successful. I'm sure Tim Burton, who is actually autistic, could've done much better. Remove your ableism and accept autistics for who they are. You should not have to fix/cure who they are.
Titanic (1997)
Shocking, emotional, and simply the best
Not many movies make me emotional, not many movies make me ponder life, and almost no movies make me cry. But I was a nervous wreck, I was shaking, I felt so many emotions. The movies that tell stories of true events are always good. But something about Titanic made it so special. I knew what was going to happen, but I still couldn't handle it. It kills me to think what everyone experienced. This movie certainly detailed what happened that day. I know I've said it before, but this is the greatest movie of all time. James Cameron is an incredible director, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were excellent, and the graphics were amazing. People who say this movie isn't good have never experienced emotion in their lives.
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
We are entering a new revolution in cinema!
The golden rule in movies: The sequel/remake is never better than the original. But you know what, rules were meant to be broken. Both of the Jumanji movies were amazing! From the legendary cast to the entertaining story, this movie has everything. You have the bad-assness (invented a new word) from "The Rock" and Gillan and the hilariousness of Hart, Black, and DeVito for a perfect combination. It's so exciting and action-packed! The sequel is better than the original, you can fight me on that all day. And overall, this has been the best decade in film history! Can't wait till next year to see what new movies, new directors, and new actors there are to offer.
Knives Out (2019)
Incredible, mysterious
Usually, these types of movies wouldn't get a high rating, so I knew this one had to be good. It wasn't good, it was great. I love mysteries along with horrors, and Knives Out didn't let me down. The plot was amazing, the cast was fantastic (especially Ana de Armas), and I can't imagine how long the writing took. Do you smell that? Smells like some Oscars.
Midway (2019)
Extraordinary, Epic, Exquisite
People are awful at reviews. A 6.9? Was that a typo? Because this is officially the greatest movie of all time. Looking at the reviews, I noticed it was very similar to "12 Strong", another movie that I loved. I had high hopes for this film, and it did not disappoint for one millisecond. This was one of the biggest conflicts in American history and I'm glad we have a movie that showcases it very accurately. My love for the United States has grown after watching this. I don't normally cry, but I got teary-eyed. The acting was superb, the plot was obviously incredible, and the attention to detail was impeccable. Argue all you want, but this is the movie to see for generations to come. What's that smell? Oh, it must be some Academy Awards!
Final Destination (2000)
Horrifying, nerve-racking, excellent
I've been excited to see this movie. And when I did, I was ecstatic. This movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was pretending to be a detective, trying to predict what happens next. I normally don't get scared by movies, but my heart was beating out of my chest. I'm debating which horror movie is better, Psycho or Final Destination. The acting was great, the special effects were incredible. This is quite possibly the greatest movie of all time!
Arrival (2016)
Good but there's room for improvement
This movie has an amazing storyline. Aliens crashing to Earth and we are trying to communicate with them. I expected this to be an action-thriller where these aliens escape and try to destroy humanity. The ending didn't really make sense to me. I probably was just hoping for a more action-packed ending. Not saying this is bad but it didn't really raise my expectations. I definitely see why people like this film so much, but it didn't really connect to me.
Misery (1990)
A creepy classic
I was honestly scared in the beginning because it was started off slow, but then things grew intense exponentially. Then things grew even more exponentially. And then the line of the graph reached a vertical undefined slope. This film doesn't have many jumpscares, but it has so much in the creepy level. Kathy Bates did an excellent job playing her character. There's no doubt that a Stephen King based movie would be excellent to watch.
Psycho (1960)
The best horror movie of all time
Psycho is the perfect example of a good horror movie. It's creepy, there's jumpscares, there's intense music, great cast, I could go on all day. This is a movie I could watch over and over again without getting bored. Psycho is a horror classic and is easily one of the best films of all time. Many iconic scenes have people recognizing this movie as a gem. Alfred Hitchcock made a true masterpiece. And who knew a horror movie released in 1960 would actually be nail-biting?
12 Strong (2018)
Very patriotic and heart-warming
Don't be fooled by the rating. 12 Strong is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I have a lot of pride for this country. After watching this, I fell in love with this country even more. This is easily one of the most patriotic films ever.
