Nope (2022)
Hate being negative but this was a hard watch
I know I'm going to come across as a hater but I do find it a bit puzzling how people rate movies sometimes. I know movies are subjective but sometimes people rate movies too far in the wrong direction. Like I totally agree that I may rate a movie 6.5/10 and you may rate the same movie 8/10. So we have a little bit of a different opinion but it's in the same ball park.
How are some people rating this 8 and higher??? Saying this movie is really good is the equivalent of saying a comic is funny because he does peek-a-boo.
This movie was a about a 3, 4 or 5 at best.
It was very very slow, nothing happened until 50 minutes into the movie. And there were so many cheesy scenes. Especially the last scene when OJ is revealed when the fog clears. Cheese.
They made many scenes about the sub plot involving the chimpanzee and the flashbacks the Asian guy had etc and in the end, it had literally nothing to do with the movie. So why do a whole angle of something that is completely irrelevant.
I give good ratings when it's deserved, and bad ratings when it's deserved.
This was 100% a sub par movie. Between Netflix and crave, there are 100+ movies worth watching before this one.
1899 (2022)
Finished season 1 - honest as I can be review
I tried to like it. Watched all of season 1.(8 episodes)
The show didn't even make much sense. There was no explanation or back story as to who people were and why they were on the ship, or why things were happening. Then the show just tossed all these random ideas together which just made storyline even more of a mess.
By the end of it, you are left wondering what the heck just happened and the show tried so hard to be different and creative but they swung and miss by not giving any decent explanation to what is going on. At least give us an idea of who these people are and why they're on the ship.
It's like hearing about a good restaurant, you get a glimpse of the menu and see some wonderful menu items like filet mignon and potatoes or portabello mushroom chicken with pasta or a nice lasagna and garlic bread..... Then your meal arrives and it's a just a plate of randomness... Rice with jelly beans and pickles, mixed in with tuna, layered with cotton candy and gravy. The show looked promising at first, but by the end of it, staring at the plate of food you say to yourself, what the heck am I supposed to do with this.
Not a great show show people.
Stranger Things: Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab (2022)
I'm sorry but this show is getting worse ever season
This episode that has "the reveal", basically felt like the writers just meshed a whole bunch of ideas together to create this story angle which has so many holes.
I loved season 1, but each season since, the writing and the story gets worse. Almost like amateur writers are taking over.
I'm still going to watch to see how it ends, but this show has become an average show at best.
It Chapter Two (2019)
Similar to the first one, neither one are good
Below average movie. I wouldn't watch it again or even recommended it.
Leave No Trace (2018)
I thought it was pretty good. I liked it
There's always going to be a mix of really good and really bad reviews.
People who say it was garbage are obviously people that are hard to please so ignore all the really low reviews.
This was a 6-7 type of movie. Nothing amazing or terrible about this movie.
Just a simple, overall decent movie. I liked it.
