Strange Evidence (2017)
Cool stuff...BUT
Most of the things they show on there are pretty cool / interesting, but I've never seen a show even begin to come close to insulting their viewers intelligence more. By the time you see whatever the next thing is, you've already seen a preview of it like 10 times, and now just want them to explain it with science..except first, they show you the full clip while they literally explain it to you.. but no.. not how or what exactly is going on but literally what you're seeing with your eyes.. *man walks in the street in the middle of the night, lightning strikes him* "okay so it's night.. we see a man.. he seems to be walking.. oh he went into the street. He's now walking in the street. Oh look at that! Whoa! Lightning! It hit him! Oh man that must have hurt! Where did that lighting come from" and crap like that. I mean that's not even an exaggeration in the slightest. And then they say such insightful things like "it's like the lightning just came out of the sky" add a "he's having a bad hair day".. then it goes to commercial..back on...shows the same clip again and then someone else describes it exactly like that again and makes another crappy joke.. they do some more patronizing/condescending and then finally they explain to you what happens which you the viewer had already figured out, because the past 5 minutes have been nothing but filler and you already looked up on your phone. It's pretty much all filler with about 5 minutes MAX of interesting, actual material. It genuinely has the potential to be a really entertaining, fascinating show..if they weren't too busy spending the majority(entirety) of it talking down to the viewer, as if they were a mentally handicapped 4-year-old. If you want to watch TV and have someone literally describe every single thing that's happening on the TV to you.. what you're literally seeing with your own eyes...then this shows the show for you. If you want a similar but slightly less condescending, patronizing and just all around insulting show..with at least a decent bit less filler, watch "what on earth" Definitely has a lot of filler too, but far less... And you actually learned a lot and it shows some really cool stuff. This show though. Pure trash. And they could so, so, so easily make it not so..but it's truly as if they're doing it as a middle finger to their viewers. I genuinely think the show is them trolling their viewers. I mean I know some shows insult their viewers intelligence.. but unless they LITERALLY think their viewers have the most severe brain damage.. like LITERALLY think the viewers have an IQ of absolutely no more than 30, it can be for real. Maybe it deserves a 10/10, because I truly think the purpose of it may be to troll/insult us all, and in that case, they massively successful.
Growing Belushi (2020)
It could be better.
It's just too scripted. I like the concept and appreciate Jim himself, but come on.. show us some genuine real moments. Almost every aspect is scripted. Hopefully they ease it up on the scripting soon, before they're cancelled.
Home Movies (1999)
Legitimately one of the most clever, funny shows of all time
I think bobs burgers is alright and all.. but it saddens me that it was Loren bouchards biggest hit. I guess being more family oriented helps it get a wider audience.. but still. Home movies is without a doubt, one of the funniest, smartest, original shows I have ever seen. I loved it on adult swim when I was a kid, and that love dramatically raised, as an adult, partially via nostalgia, but primarily because of the fact there's so many jokes you just didn't get as a child. The fact that it is primarily improvised(most of which, by comedians, no less) rather than scripted, is definitely it's winning attribute. If you like archer, imagine Archer never having become a spy, grown up to be a miserable failure, who is supposed to be a role model for children, as well as responsible for them. I find it utterly horrifying and disheartening, that this show it's so unknown, while the Big bang theory (literally an example of the worst writing, and basically black face for nerds / geeks.. albeit far less offensive) is literally considered to be one of the most popular shows of all time.
Jyu oh sei (2006)
Hidden gem
I don't know anybody else who is heard of this anime, at least, anyone I have asked. But it is absolutely one of my favorites. The kids voices are kind of irritating at first, which is the only reason I give it a 9 rather than 10.. plus I'm a realist when it comes to ratings and not one of those jackasses( which there are far too many of) who feel compelled to give something a 1/10 just because they don't like it (grow up, it was made for entertainment, don't take it so damn personally.. just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it is crap- have you ever heard of this thing called opinion??) or a 10/10 because I like it..90% of movies and shows on here don't have an accurate rating, because of the prevalence of these stupid, childish people . Haven't been able to find it anywhere, for years, but just dropped 18 on Amazon for the entire series.. which is only one season.. worth it.
Mountain Monsters (2013)
Its not real, people!
I came here not having seen it, thusly thinking it's real, hoping to see hate, for these guys actually hunting these creatures down.. " they're the real monsters.." etc.. which would be true!.. IF it wasn't obviously fake and just for entertainment.. after checking out the show myself, I gotta say, I actually really enjoyed it. Granted, if it was real, and they were ACTUALLY out attempting to kill/murder sasquatch, or any of them other unknown/discovered but quite possibly (most likely, in fact) self aware, usually humanoid creatures, of near humanlike intelligence.. then yeah, they would be scumbags- so anyone thinking ghat- please- don't be an ignorant ass like I was for so long, and put off checking it out. It's pretty damn funny, if nothing else!
UFO Hunters (2008)
Has its good qualities.
If you can get past the gimmicky "hey, people think this is cool/I think I'm cool" , flashy, lame overly dramatic crap, catering to the stupis, it definitely has some very interesting things. The research is cool, the case they study are cool, but their.. or HIS constantly trying to be "cool" or him concluding everything is "definitely extraterrestrial" even when there's no conclusive evidence and/or it even suggests otherwise, can be a bit tiresome.
Santa's Summer House (2013)
It's absolutely awful, but almost in a good way.
It's a mess of the movie, but if you like really so bad they're good then you should hopefully enjoy this. In reality, it deserves a one, but I'm giving it at eight to help counterbalance all the 1 ratings, to help let it be known that it's terribleness in fact, simultaneously, redeeming itself.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
Possibly my favorite movie
I truly believe this will eventually go down as one of the greatest movies of all time, because it truly is. It has everything that makes a movie good. I could go on forever about how it's one of the most moving, dark, sad, beautiful, funny, phenomenal movies out there.. but I will just leave it at this- watch this movie. You will not regret it.. I'm all about personal opinions and all that stuff, but if you do, there's something wrong with you.
Dirty Work (1998)
An absolute classic, and utterly hilarious
It absolutely baffles me, the critic's gave this such a bad rating... Sick and tired of their pretentious asses rating comedies by the same criteria they rate dramas and other such genres.. in fact, they should not review comedies at all.. Rather than typical critics, they should have well respected, popular comedians review them instead.. this movie has a laugh out loud moment every few minutes.. it's a silly, yes, but absolutely HILARIOUS, and a must see for any comedy fan. It was one of my favorite comedies since it first came out, when I was 10.. and still is now.. if not even more than ever. Has one of Chris Farley's last appearances in a movie.. and he's fantastic
