Penn can follow me anytime!!
5 December 2019
The first several episodes had me super glued in on what was going on, somewhere in the middle, I was losing interest, then bam, what happened in the end?! Now, Penn Bagdley is great! Those eyes can stare my way anytime. I felt the characters were done very well by all and the love interest was great too, love that she wasn't that playboy bunny type, lol. I feel I missed some key stuff when it was "slower" in the middle, interested to see what happens in season 2.

I'm no softy.. but what is this?
5 December 2019
Disappointed as I was excited to watch this. I give the two stars for the cast. I was happy to see some favorites on the screen but kind of uncomfortable with the off accents and unusually poor acting chops. Debby Ryan was superb as Jessie on Disney, everything else has been a miss. Her overweight self is hard to believe but her cattiness seems all too real...???!!! Shocked to see season 2 come out, I pushed myself get finish season 1. I may try season 2 sometime when I'm bored.

River's brother is grown up!
5 December 2019
WOW, what else can I say? Growing up I was a huge River Phoenix fan, and so distraught by his untimely passing in 1993. I've followed Joaquin's career from a distant and was even hesitant to see this film, when years before I would not only see his brother's films, I would make every effort to collect anything with featuring River. This film literally blew me away. Not only was the story very well written, the performance of Mr Phoenix was outstanding. He brought every torment he has ever endured out in the Joker. You felt all the emotions, and even felt good rooting for the "bad" guy. Thank you Joaquin for bringing Joker to life and letting us get inside his mind and feel his soul. Bravo!! Can't wait to hear your acceptance speech, your brother would be so proud of you!!

Drew and Adam = goals!
19 October 2019
Classic, adorable and the sweetest moments on screen. A longtime favorite of mine, where to this day the flight scene still gives me chills and happy tears. The chemistry between Drew and Adam is every couples dream.

There are many moments that make Adam just become more and more adorable. The music is enjoyable and those meatballs did look absolutly delicious. Drew will always be America's sweetheart, she brought "Julia" to life so preciously.

Overall a great feel good movie, ok to watch with the family if your kids are a bit older. Made me miss my headbands and leg warmers from back in the day :)

Hard to Watch
19 October 2019
As I have enjoyed the other two Open Water movies, I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to watch this once the kids went to bed. Disappointing is an understatement. The camera was shaking a lot and I felt like I was re-living the nauseousness of watching The Blair Witch Project. The usual infidelity is there, the blood, some sharks, lots of water... The shark scenes do look great, but that's about it. I was expecting much more and was left disappointed. I got laundry folded and paid a few bills, those were more enjoyable than this film. Open Water 2 is definitely a nail bitter.

Dragons: Rescue Riders (2019–2020)

Great attention to detail! Impressive! An entire family favorite!

Very impressed by the spinoff to HTTYD series. I'm usually an observer, but felt compelled to write a review based on our experience and the comments I have read since this was announced.

First and foremost, thank you for making a series the little ones can relate to and the parents don't have to worry about what they are watching. Your detail to the characters, with the expressions to the adorable freckles is fantastic. The dragon scales and attention to detail of each different dragon is quite beautiful and yet simple for a little one to grasp.

I have been appalled at the rude comments all over the internet regarding this show. The fact that Dreamworks themselves created this with Emmy award winning producers, who have worked on HTTYD, and yet "fans" of the franchise are complaining. This is FOR little kids, but enjoyable for the adults as well. From the animation, to the clever and humorous dialogue, there is something for everyone. This series is BASED on the original books, something a true fan can appreciate. It's time we all respect the fact that the younger generation doesn't need to be desensitized by violence and foul language to enjoy GOOD entertainment.

I am also quite impressed with the young voice cast. There is some true talent there. I don't understand why the talent isn't highlighted much as I think we would genuinely enjoy hearing their experience on what seemed to have been a lengthy production. My littles would love to see some live footage or even attend a meet and great with the cast.

Favorite moments: how the team works together, what trouble they get in or out of, and the valuable lessons are a bonus. Humor and continuity is gold! Cast superb!

Not so favorite: NO TOYS? my 4 year old already added all the characters to her Santa List!! Also , When they are flying to the Roost, it looks static, would love to have seen that change up a bit.

All in all, great show, great message, amazing characters and enjoyable episodes. Highly recommend. And if you are a colleague, a friend or family with littles, you're getting this or a Netflix membership for Christmas from my family.
