Breaking Bad (2008)
I wish I had watched this sooner!!
I just finished the show this past week and wow.. It is one of my favorite shows (if not then my favorite). Simply one of the best. The acting, plot, twists, and the soundtrack are all absolutely phenomenal. I loved seeing the transition of Walt's character: from a timid, nerdy teacher to a badass drug lord. I'm still in awe of how amazing this show is. My only complaint is that I wish I had watched it sooner! This is a show I will definitely watch again and again!
The Open House (2018)
I was confused at the ending...
This movie definitely had potential to be good, but it definitely failed to be that. I was sort of hooked at the beginning, then it just dragged with little suspense and no horror. The only horror was at the last 30 minutes of the film with the guy killing the mom, Logan, and friend Chris. What let me down, however, was the movie never told us who the killer was, nor their backstory. Which made me confused about what happened at the end. If the movie had a good climax, revealed the murder and their story, had horror throughout instead of the end, and maybe better acting, this film would've been superb. I want my 90 minutes back.
Impractical Jokers: The Movie (2020)
Coming from a true fan since day 1...
I have loved the Impractical Jokers since their first episode came on television. I also watch the seasons on DVD a lot, and am seeing Sal Vulcano live this upcoming Fall. So, naturally when the movie came out, I was super excited to see it. After seeing it however, I wasn't as happy as I expected to be. Is the movie bad? Absolutely not. But is the movie great? Eh, not really. I really was not a fan of the movie script, I enjoyed the hidden camera challenges a lot more. And I felt some of the challenges were staged/fake, like Sal getting a second tattoo of Jaden Smith and Murr standing on the plane at the end. I kind of wish they made the movie more like the Jackass format, where they just did hidden camera challenges and shot more of the backstage stuff, like pranking the crew perhaps. And showing reactions before and after the challenge, and showing the guys just screwing around on set and doing interviews. I just was not a fan of the script being combined with the hidden challenges. Overall, the movie was just good, but I wish they changed how the movie was. A tad disappointed.
Coffee & Kareem (2020)
An alright movie, but the kid character definitely ruined it
This movie was alright, it had some laughs. However, I felt the character Kareem ruined this movie. He swore way too much and said a lot of inappropriate things, did not stick up for Coffee in situations where he should have, literally hired a criminal to kill his mom's boyfriend Coffee, and just downright an evil brat. If the creators changed his character a bit (okay maybe a lot), the movie would have been more enjoyable for me.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
"Hope."
This movie is probably my number one movie of all time. Everytime I watch it, I feel like I'm watching it for the first time again. This movie shows friendship, determination, and hope (the main theme of this movie). I could go on and on about how amazing this movie is, but I encourage you to see it for yourself and the beauty of it. You won't regret, definitely buy it!
Portals (2019)
Eh...
I gave this movie a chance after reading the negative reviews... big mistake that was. This movie was a total bore, confusing, and had terrible acting. Avoid this movie!
The Dead Don't Die (2019)
B O R I N G !!!!!!
My boyfriend told me about this movie and of course with it being horror and comedy, I thought why not I'll give it a chance! Good lord, this movie was SO BORING! The acting was terrible (not one character showed emotion of any kind), the movie dragged, and not one line was remotely funny. We immediately turned it off not even halfway through cause of how bad it was! Avoid this movie!!!!!
