Moon of the Wolf (1972 TV Movie)
8/10
Murder mystery/werewolf movie.
19 May 2015
Given that there are so few decent werewolf horror movie lately(thanks a lot Twilight)I have found myself looking for older movie that i;ve missed over the years.Found this gem on the internet.

Don't let the words made for TV movie dissuade you as it almost did me.This movie was a pleasant surprise.Essentially it's a small town murder mystery with a supernatural twist.Sort of In the heat of the night meets Kolchack the night stalker.great old school cast all around. The Fugitives David Janssen is perfect as the tough skeptical small town sheriff whose just trying to figure it all out.More suspenseful than i thought it would be for a 70's TV movie.Especially toward the end.A good watch for werewolf genre fans.

RoboCop (2014)
2/10
After finally watching this...
6 July 2014
...i really don't see why people like it so much. It's a mediocre big budget syfy channel movie of the week at best. The Robocop prime directives miniseries was better than this.Hell the Robocop TV series was better than this.

With it's PG-13 rating and general lack of violence and profanity this probably could have aired as a network movie of the week.Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. held my attention more than this did and i didn't particularly like that much.

I thought Joel Kinnaman had zero appeal as the lead.Weller gave the character gravitas. He made you feel his anger and his loss.Kinnamn is nowhere near as good an actor.

Not emmy material but definitely a lot of fun.

If your looking for a show with serious drama, social commentary or Emmy worthy dialogue then i suggest you go watch something like Law and order,CSI or Blue bloods.Kung fu the legend continues is the kind of show where you go get a snack, relax on the couch, shut your mind off and just enjoy what your watching. It's pure fluff and escapism.Mindless fun at it's best. It's full of Chinese mysticism, kung fu fighting and campy villains.

Even though Carradine was showing his age and his fight scenes were not particularly believable it was still a lot of fun watching him in his most famous role. And Chris Potter was an extremely likable and charming lead as his son.If your looking for something fun to watch then i would recommend this.

Time Walker (1982)
4/10
I give it points for originality.
17 August 2013
A combination of your classic Mummy movie mixed with your typical 80's slasher fare.Throw an alien in to the mix and you get Time walker. The execution wasn't anything new but I thought the genre melding plot was pretty original. Not a bad movie IMO.Above average 80's semi slasher, semi sci-fi movie.

Ben Murphy was fine as the lead. The rest of the acting was so so.But if your a fan of 80's horror movies like me,especially slasher movies, then you should have no problem looking past that.I wonder what the planned sequel was. They must have had one in mind since they ended it with that ambiguous to be continued ending.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)
10/10
Brilliant says it all
11 June 2006
Brilliant is the only way to describe Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Over seven seasons blonde valley girl turned super slayer Buffy battles evil while trying to Martainn a normal teenage life.

Unlike most shows Buffy proved to be completely unpredictable with surprise's around every corner.

With a mixture of horror-action-drama-love story-comedy. Yes Buffy does it all.And the cast pulls it off, jumping from hard drama to light hearted comedy in a sec.

Although the whole cast is great Sarah Michelle Gellar shines above the rest.
