Sanctuary (2023– )

Surprisingly Amazing

Sanctuary was a pleasant surprise & completely blew my mind. I have always been fascinated with Japanese culture but to be honest, I didn't care much for Sumo wrestling. The writing gave us one of the best underdog stories, I have seen in a long time. I now have a huge amount of respect for Sumos & all of the training that they put into their craft. So much so, that I would love to watch a tournament or even go to one! Lastly, the acting was phenomenal. Especially from Wataru Ichinose, Shioli Kutsuna & Hiroki Sumi. I honestly don't think that there needs to be a second season, since they were able to tell a perfect story in one season.

This type of anime gives all other animes a bad rap. This was straight up anime porn. There are so many other great animes out there. Do yourself a favor and don't watch this.

Great Show, Bad Judge

I liked the original American version & this is a great add on to it. Having Alton & Kristen as hists is a great combo.

The only downside is the female judge Motamed. She is absolutely awful. She constantly talks over others & acts like her opinion is the only valid opinion. It's even worse that she acts like this is her show & she's the star. If Netflix is to renew this show, they need to replace her so there is better chemistry with Andrew Zimmern.

This has to be some of the worst writing and acting, I have ever seen. No one is likable & by the end you are cheering that everyone dies. I would not waste your time on this show. There are better things out there.

Basically Netflix took a YouTube "food critic" and gave him his show. Why is he always eating in slow-mo? No one wants to see that. Plus, what are these catchphrases? This was a waste of money. Pass on this, there are better food shows.

This was a big letdown. There are 0 likable characters & the Superhero code, hammered at us in every episode is blah. The story is superrrrr slow & boring. The only good parts are the super power, special effects. There are better superhero shows out there.

Unpopular opinion but this is the worst Marvel thing, done so far. The first few episodes you are wondering what is going on. I feel like unless you are an avid comic readers, most things went right past you. In the end, I don't get how any of this setups Dr. Strange. In the end, I feel like this was all a waste of time.

The winner complained, the entire time. They could do no wrong, in the Judge's eye. They were very ignorant towards other people & other's cultures too. If you watch the 1st episode 1 & see who the complainer is & can't stand them. You'll know, what you're in for.

The show starts if interestingly but then the judge, Michelle Ogundehin, ruins the show. She's the only one who decides who goes home. Her reasoning for sending people home, makes no sense. The winner, was never a top contestant and literally never did what the owners wanted.

The concept was good, of have two soldiers from opposite sides. However, You wouldn't know which side was which, if it wasn't for the uniforms. How does everyone have a British accent?? You couldn't hire, actual German actors or have them have a German accent?? lol low quality of production too, compared to other war shows produced by BBC

Ugh, I was looking forward to this show. The trailer made it seem like this would be great. It was far from it. The pace was extremely slow. There was only 6 episodes and it took until episode 4, before everything ramped up. The outcome was also trash. Don't waste your time. Watch The Stranger instead.

I basically wasted almost 2 hours for an ending that made no sense. The father/son relationship was broken, mended & then broken (randomly) at the end. Also, how does his friend pass, when he literally got every wine wrong, in all of his scenes.
