Please directors!!

Yet another series that had all the potential of being really good BUT of course they had to bring it down as always. WHY DIRECTORS WHY???!!! For example: the women going through all possible emotions and crying and fighting and all kind of stuff- they have perfect eyeliner and eyeshadows and makeup overall. Stupid! And with a threat so dangerous that if you make a sound it will find you- yet they are screaming and talking and in one scene even lit up a whole restaurant with music playing and started cooking food . I mean COME ON!!! Why??!!! And don't make me mention the car driving cause directors fail at that over and over again. You know the "driving the car but looking more at the ones you talking to in the car rather then the roads you driving on , WHY DIRECTORS??!! And ALL the heavy breathing from the female actors??? Just stop it with that for the love of god!!! It's so much stupidity on behalf of the directors I have no words for it! When can we have a series you can BELIEVE IN. Authentic and amazing! Do better it's easy. Messy makeup, look at the roads while driving, shut the f up when you suppose to and let women breathe more normal.

Had high hopes for this one but I actually fell asleep eventually. It was too much of everything and just same thing over and over and over and over again. I got so bored. Too much impressions and If someone was to ask me if they should watch this movie I would say no. This movie is far too sprawling and confusing to watch! How it got all the nominations and all the awards is a wonder to me! Yes Jamie Lee Curties did it good playing her part but it doesn't matter cause the plots were too many and it was hard to keep up and enjoy . Stephanie Hsu is not a very good actor and I wish someone else had played her parts. She didn't convince me at all in this role. I'm sorry I'm negative to this movie but what can I say? I absolutely love a good movie but this was not my cup of tea AT ALL.

This is my kind of series absolutely BUT I had some issues with it. WHY OH WHY the music?!? The music added parts took it all down. It didn't fit in at all! Am I the only one to think this way I wonder? Well, if I was the director the music parts in this series would not be in there. And another thing is that when there is so important to be silent - keep it very silent! No loud talking or outbursts! It would have added so much more truthfulness and magic to the scenes. For me it's so obvious what would have brought more depth to this series. But it's like "let's make it very American and destroy it a little bit" .

...I just finished looking. It's a beautiful beautiful movie. It helps if you're spiritual and "get it" so to speak. What an extraordinary and interesting woman Hilda was. Wish I had known her. I'm happy I watched this movie cause it made me so happy seeing all the paintings I didn't know of. To know how she painted and to see her visions on the canvas gives me soul comfort. It's like "thank you for being on that path and put it out there for us with a brush and amazing colours!" I wish I could draw and paint and be in a creative group like Hilma and her amazingly talented friends. Thank you for this beautiful movie!

A part directors first movie! First movie and it's a very good start! Brings the chills. Heard it was a low budget and a fast pace filming and yet it turned out this good. So many bad boring non interesting scary movies out there so hands up when a really decent film comes along. Keep this level up and people will wait for the next movie to arrive. Can only imagine what the next one will bring as the director / directors has high expectations producing real good stuff. That's always something you want to hear as a viewer. We need more of well produced movies worth watching and leaving you with a thrill. Thank you!

Another series where you add scenes with naked dancing women and men watching and grinning. CAN ANY DIRECTOR COME OUT OF THE REVERSE VISION AND DO SOMETHING GOOD INSTEAD ?? It adds NOTHING to the story. These are scenes that make the series feel like not worth watching. So so tiring. Puts a vomit emoji in text here. Time to grow up and mature now directors!

I thought I would just watch minutes of this movie and turn it off of disappointment BUT no ! I was happily surprised matter of fact. The only thing that ruined parts of the movie - was the "wild children" towards the END.... Why the fu** wasn't that directed better???

I didn't believe in the way it's made this series .... As a producer you need to reflect on if it's believable for the watcher. In my opinion. It felt cheap..... I need to feel it's true - not filmed.

Women with full flawless makeup and curled hair day and night -NO!!!!

The extras in this movie was directed awful and I didn't believe in their acting for a second.

It took a little bit of watching to get a grip of the acting - and then - I got hooked!

The story per se is an interesting story BUT the ONLY acting worth to watch is on Rolf Lassgård . And I really don't understand why Swedish directors are so bad? Far too many Swedish movies are directed in such painfully poor outcome. Yuck!! Just like my English writing I guess. I'm swede.

...... I always look at movies and series with the wish of a belief that this movie or series I watch is really happening and is true. So when I in this first episode of Absentia really want to BELIVE that the woman , the kidnapped for years woman who was beaten and drowned but not to death drowned - are saved and brought to hospital WITH WAXED FLAWLESS EYEBROWS!!!!!!! Really??? NO. NO. NO. It's a stupid thing as a director not to think of the little things!!!! So much is in the details details details...... come on!

Such a good series! A true story series. Insane! I almost flew out the couch during the episode of the killings. Bit my nails off. Good acting by awesome cast.
