The Lost City (2022)
Cliche
It's bad, c'mon. Ripped off story, portrayed even worse.
Terrible script, poor acting by those desperate to hold on to past successes.
If you want to kill 2 hours, fair play, but don't.
The Last Duel (2021)
Just a boring mess.
Not Scott's finest by any means, its terrible. Mis-cast. Poor story telling. Confused. Who should be accountable, to blame, the truth.
It's poo, let's be honest.
No Time to Die (2021)
O D D 7
It's just odd. Almost like Daniel Craig has taken everything he has built, Bond's character, legacy and just taken the piss.
The acting, dialogue and sets are poor.
Who signed off on this.
Ah, it's so dissapointing.
Gutted.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Silence is Golden
A slow burner, and you wonder where it can go, but my word it delivers.
If you can't appreciate the story and the superb acting, via minimal dialogue, then films are not for you.
Part 3 has to happen.
Bravo John & Team.
Infinite (2021)
No infinite pun here, just so poor.
This is not a good film. It's trying to punch way above its weight.
Full of really bad American accents buy poor English actors.
No wonder it went to OD.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Spiralling and spiralling down, down, down.
It is bad. The script is weak, obvious and cheap.
The acting is equally bad, all the budget clearly went on SLJ. Even he could not save it.
The so called twist, is spoon fed, its that obvious.
Shame.
Army of the Dead (2021)
A good start, but pants overall.
Why does he complicate things, it's a movie, 3 basics to follow.
Zach seems to get caught up in artistic licence, something he doesn't have the tools for.
I had a couple of laughs at the start, thought here we go, then the usual, snore fest.
Oh, and 2 and half hours man, why?
It's pretty crap, sorry.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Entertaining, just turn your loaf off & enjoy.
Titans, action, fun, a popcorn movie to turn your loaf off for 2 hours.
Better than the recent DC bang average rubbish that had bigger budgets and alleged better directors.
Horizon Line (2020)
He he, rum, rum...
I gave it two because it did make me laugh a few times...
Not because it was intentially funny...
Because its ridiculously stupid funny...
I hope they both get it via a sharknado or crocnado....
Ah, do they I see you thinking?
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
If 2020 was a film!
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!
I'm still laughing at how bad it is.
Patty, Patty, Patty.
Breach (2020)
Terrible beyond belief!
WOW. This is not a good WOW BTW.
I'm almost lost for words. This film is horrendous.
I can't believe how far Bruce has fallen, is he skint, producing, doing a favour for friends, what is it?
Some of these actors have actually done good films. It's so cheap, pealing stickers over the brand of TV monitors, wobbly sets, I'm pretty sure they use NERF guns as weapons.
Terrible beyond belief!
Skylines (2020)
A long snore fest!
It is what it is. A TV movie with a cast that act according to the budget and ability.
A poor story and direction, It's too long so don't waste 2 hours.
Honest Thief (2020)
Poooor 💤
It's poor, if you have 90 mins spare then watch it. You'll learn, nor gain anything from it. Tassy the dog is the star, that's it.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
A Horror Show!
Equally as awful as Hill House. I've had more scares from Murder, She Wrote.
Times are tough for good television series, but never this tough.
Project Power (2020)
Continues to shake head...
Yet another film with great potential.
An exciting story, but so poorly executed.
Bored of mediocre.
White Lines (2020)
Do not follow the white lines!
Laura Haddock is awful. It turns out she's trying to do a Manchester accent but could be, Irish, Geordie and even Yorkshire. By episode 3 I wish I could admit to Axel's untimely demise. Just garbage.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
It is what it is, nothing more...
Listen, it is what it is. A bit of fun, nothing more. Linda looks like she's been dug up, Arnie can barely move, the CGI at times is really poor. The fights scenes are good. If you have 2 hrs to spare and have no expectations, then give it a go.
The Witcher (2019)
A growly Geralt mess!
Hahaha, just truly, truly awful. Don't waste 8 hours, growly Geralt is so bad, poor acting, cheap sets and costumes.
Awful.
Awful.
Awful.
6 Underground (2019)
A slightly entertaining Michael Bay mess!
On a positive note, the first 30 minutes are really entertaining. The car chase through Florence and the death scenes are fun.
For this period, you actually believe Bay can make a good adult action film with plenty of humour, blood, gore and swearing.
But it's a false sense of security, believe me!
It then just turns into an absolute mess, flicking forward then back, poor character story telling and the usual Bay explosions and film angles. It's all been done and seen before.
I think Bay was given a really good script, he created an ok cast and was then given full creative license to do what he wants and he does, just badly.
The Lion King (2019)
If it ain't broke...
No love to feel here tonight! I just found this a hard watch.
I'll start with a positive, it is visually brilliant and having James Earl Jones was a nice touch.
It's so down hill from then.
Firstly the songs just don't have the emotion you get from the original.
The voices do not work with the characters, it really was poor casting.
There is no comedic moments, everything Timon & Pumbaa provided before.
Just go and watch the original, enjoy it again and again, don't let yourself be tainted by this poor attempt.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)
Snore Fest!
This is absolute wank, trying to piggy back off the likes of teenage actors from Stranger Things and IT, don't do it and save yourself 2hrs
Aladdin (2019)
It's enjoyable, stick wit it.
There are flaws but it's enjoyable, stick with it, a strong 7 TBF, I didn't like Jasmine but it is what it is. You miss Robin but Will did a good job.
Another Life (2019)
Just keep it simple stupid! My message to the producers.
My 3 star rating were for the 3 episodes I thought were ok. There is some seriously horrendous acting in this show and not just because of the awful dialogue/script.
It's because it smells and looks cheap, so it's cheap.
At no stage do you ever believe the characters being portrayed are actually astronauts, scientists and soldiers. A motley crew of unfit, unintelligent misfit of Z show actors.
Each episode is directed by someone new, each trying to put there own spin on events and characters without successfully linking episodes, never mind the plot.
What blood shed there is, is mildly entertaining.
But when you find yourself hoping the next episode (after 3) is the last and it's not - mind blown!
The KISS effect, just keep it simple stupid! Don't over do it and don't be clever, keep it simple and entertaining please.
Manifest (2018)
Ugh!
I'd like to write something positive, but I can't. It's a poorly written, terribly acted soap opera. Lots of hands in faces, hands on hips, watery eyes, the standard acting guidelines to guilt, sadness and being surprised. And the favourite episode lines 'We're work through this' as a daily headline for their scripts.
It's no Lost but it should get Lost in the archives.
