Clink (2019)
Understanding is key
Other reviews are often too harsh; it's the first of it's kind for this channel, the budget isn't in the millions. We know that, and we should appreciate it. I think it does a fantastic job of showing the isolation and brutality of prison life, without going over the top
There is something to be admired in the beautiful and subtle dialogue, and making the most from a small budget, to just focus on the characters.
I have to say that Katherine, aka, Chloe is incredible. When she is emotional, I feel it so. That's the true power of an actress and I'm confident she has a bright future ahead of her, or at least I hope so!
Cougar Town (2009)
Wonderful
I'm on my second round of watching all the way through, says it all!
This show is easy going, laughs at itself, and has a fantastic ensemble cast!!
The first few episodes are shakey, and that's why the creators changed it they made a bold call about an honest mistake, making 5.5 seasons of awesomeness!
Enjoy!
Good Trouble (2019)
Good trouble is GOOD
So I'm currently on the penultimate episode of Season 1...whilst the initial 2-3 episodes had me thinking this was a slow burner, there are so many great things about this show. I'll aim to stay away from direct spoilers where possible.
Every 2-3 episodes, we see an original Foster cast member, it's enough to support the link, but not too much that's it's try hard. They offer more layers to the project, and provide welcome insight into how after school/college/uni works
The characters all become very three dimensional and it's very complex, yet welcoming and fantastic.
The jump forward and backward keeps you engaged, and I'm so glad that I stuck with it. It covers many issues people consider taboo, without being "down your throat"; anything from finances, to being bi and judged, awkward exes, stress at work, and so much more
If you're 50-50 on starting, or sticking with, I implore you to keep watching, as I'm confident you'll have an overall glow of the show!
