Team America: World Police (2004)
Lots of fun if you are sick of Hollywood leftists
Tired of hearing leftist spew from Hollywood's deep thinkers? If so this movie is for you. The only people they forgot to pillory were Barbara Streisand and Warren Beatty. And that's a shame, I'd have liked see their heads explode too.
The filmmakers also make good fun of action movies in general. The movie is loaded with interludes of cheesy, relationship type dialogue that is crammed in between massive explosions and sex scenes (yes, they have sex scenes with puppets).
Overall, it was a good time, especially for those who are sick of hearing about Michael Moore's "genius".
Krull (1983)
Solid Fantasy Movie
Krull has been a guilty pleasure of mine since it first came out in '83. I call it a guilty pleasure because the plot is cliche - but it is not pretentiously executed (i.e., the film is not pretending to be ground-breaking on the plot front). On the other hand, the characters are fun, the Beast is truly hideous, and the idea of the Glaive I always found captivating. I also like Freddie Jones (whom I always think of as Thufir Hawat from Dune!) and Francesca Annis (whom I always think of as Jessica from Dune!) who share the screen together once again here. If you like fantasy as a rule (do you like Tolkein? did you / do you play D&D?) then you'll get a kick out this film.
Enjoy.

Battle of the Planets (1978)
My favorite show as a kid!
I agree with the previous commentor. At 9 years old I would get up at 6AM to watch G-Force. A few weeks ago, on a whim, I did an internet search on G-Force. I found that the show is soon to be distributed in the US in DVD format come August 2001! Enjoy!
Farscape: Premiere (1999)
Incredibly entertaining...
After 2 years of using this site for movie reviews, I finally registered with IMDB just so I could give Farscape a "10." The show's writers, cast and crew have proven themselves the unambiguous masters of the science fiction genre. Even those who do not normally appreciate sci-fi should be encouraged to give this exceptional series a chance!
Farscape's virtues are simply too numerous to list, but one of them stands out above all; the quality of the writing is amazing. I haven't heard dialogue this good since "Blake's 7." In fact, Farscape feels a lot like a "Blake's 7" with good special effects and a bit more romance.
Everyone, enjoy!
