The Gray Man (2022)
2 hrs I'll never get back.
A complete waste of time. Representative of the mindless drivel seeping out of Hollywood for the past couple of years. Pointless, noisy, full of "sparking" bullets, cars flipping over and thousands of rounds fired without reloading. Made by people with too much time and money. Always been a fan of Gosling but respect just dropped a notch for doing this mess. Watching paint dry is a better pasttime.
Endeavour: Terminus (2021)
What the heck was that?
No beating around the bush here. Worst episode of the entire series. Who allowed this to happen and why? What a horrible way to go. And I mean the series, not the victims. I kept thinking it was an Agatha Christie nightmare I was having but saw by other peoples' responses I wasn't alone. Tragic. Won't bore you with details and I know you'll have to watch to see for yourself but it's 90 minutes you can't get back.
All Creatures Great & Small (2020)
Too sappy.
Old series much more realistic and quicker paced. This series, while worth viewing, is too sappy and what I call "Hallmarky". The lighting, mannerisms and direction, along with the trademark plucked violin strings all the time ruined it for me.
American Rust (2021)
Just terrible
When I saw the cast list I was hoping there was finally something worth watching. How wrong I was. Another boring story about a small-town murder, it's flawed police chief, troubled good kid who gets caught up in bad stuff, etc. Let's not leave out the mom who likes the chief but has troubles with her ex. Absolutely nothing new here. Poorly written, contrived and acted. I did try to stick it out for episode 2 but the wedding scene was unbearble in its stereo-typical characters and script. The "celebration" song scene was the final nail in the coffin for me. Don't waste your time.
Animal Kingdom (2016)
Time to move on
Started out as a strong series based on the movie. But it's gotten old now. Too much of relying on the flashbacks to Smurf's early days. She's gone...who cares? Stick to the story at hand. I only watch anymore because it's like the proverbial train wreck.. You don't want to look but have too. Relived it's the final season.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Waste of time.
Full of WOKE generation quips and political correctness. Hard to enjoy something that's pushing their own agenda's messages throughout. Won't point them out here but watch this CGI 'movie" and you'll pick them out from the get-go. Nothing new in the story or the creatures. And, as usual, 20 round clips for the weapons fire hundreds of rounds before reloading...at which time they pull out the trusty pistol. Waste of time.
Whitstable Pearl (2021)
Fluffy.
Simple fluff, complete with the plucked violin string type music. Something you'd find on Hallmark. Nothing new or extraordinary. Missus loves it though.
Monster Hunter (2020)
Please stop!
Your time is better spent cutting your toenails. Another horrific CGI. I'm beginning to wonder if a good movie will ever be made again. Complete waste of time. Can't even be called entertainment.
Beck: Lockpojken (1997)
Same old, same old.
Trite characters, stale plot, over-acting and I think the cameraman was drunk. Even though it's dated it wasn't at all good. Stuck out 1 episode...won't be others.
Proximity (2020)
Please don't!
Be afraid...be very afraid. Run from this movie as fast as you can. Terrible directing. Horrible writing. Jumped the shark completely when two guys in sunglasses start chasing our hero. Bad music. Nonsensical "gotcha" noises throughout. Couldn't finish watching.
American Woman (2018)
Not if your looking for fantasy world movies
Pretty much a story of life as it happens, with all its warts and moles. Not much happy here. Sienna Miller's character can't seem to get a break in life. One tragedy after another, from mean men to infidelity to family catastrophe. She draws on inner strength and the help of her sister to finally pull away from the rut she's been trapped in.Closure finally arrives although as always, it's painful. The one star reviewers are obviously young and don't yet understand life. There's no cgi so it's not interesting to them. Trust me here. Definitely a must see for the discerning adult viewer
