The Tashkent Files (2019)
8/10 movie
The Tashkent Files is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language political thriller film written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Mithun Chakraborty, Shweta Basu Prasad, Mandira Bedi, Pallavi Joshi, Vinay Pathak, and Pankaj Tripathi. It is based on the mysterious death of India's second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 11 January 1966, and the subsequent cover-up.
The film was released on 12 April 2019 to mixed reviews from critics. However, it was a box office success, grossing over 100 crore (Usd 13million) worldwide.
The film has been praised for its performances, screenplay, and direction. Shweta Basu Prasad's performance as Raagini, a young journalist investigating Shastri's death, has been particularly lauded. The film has also been praised for its realistic portrayal of Indian politics and its willingness to tackle controversial subjects.
However, the film has also been criticized for its slow pacing and its lack of subtlety. Some critics have also accused the film of being biased and of promoting a particular political agenda.
Overall, The Tashkent Files is a well-made and thought-provoking film that is worth watching. It is a must-see for anyone interested in Indian politics or the history of the country.
I give the film an 8/10 rating.

Predictable around story
Story and direction along with screenplay are awesome. Some parts are predictable and storyline could have been faster. It could have been wrapped in 5 episodes instead of 8 with 5 main protagonists headlining each episode. This is tightly woven around main character so the direction has been marvellous in that sense. Cinematography suits the flow and build up. Well written, minimal dialogues are not heavy and absorbing around the storyline itself. Remix of south indian movies with bad acting by a few.
Remix of south indian movies with bad acting by a few. Actors like Deepika could have learned from Nayanthara on how to act better. Bits and pieces of good music here and there but overall a disaster. Direction not at its best. Saving the grace is great cinematography and vfx. Stunts are superbly directed though the actors don't do justice to choreography or stunt efforts. Locations are awesome but faces in front of them don't justify the money spent. This could have been a good movie but cane out so wrong. Some people are better doing father roles instead of becoming heroes at this age when it reflects in the face above all the makeup.
Tamasha (2015)
Time and energy ruined
Another of those fake movies, where the reviews are almost all biased. Such a waste of time and money. Story sounds promising but goes in almost every mindless direction. I am literally wasting my time in reviewing this movie. Such bad acting by rudali and starkid.if you sit down to watch this movie, blame your stars and their kids for ruining your time.this doesn't deserve any stars or your time seriously. Dobaaraa (2022)
Absolute waste of an effort
Absolute waste of time and money. No effort put in the film as it is a copy of Mirage. Actors have done a dull job, especially Taapsee who has again repeated her below average performance. Each scene is a near perfect copy of Mirage, 2018 Spanish movie. In case you still want to watch a movie in theatres then try Karthikeya. Better spending your hard earned money on something worth it.
Shabaash Mithu (2022)
Waste of time - not deserving of Mithali Status
What a pityful demonstration of a story on an indian star. Wasted by loose direction, spotty acting and awful cast. Taapsee cannot act we all know but director has done an even lower job by limelighting the faults in her acting. I need some eye drops. I should read reviews before watching some content now.
Ms. Marvel (2022)
Another dumb piece
This has green lantern written all over it. Dumb, shallow and so repetitive that it smells stale. Oh!! I am not describing rotten meat but a show's first episode. Lame to summarise.
The Conversion (2022)
Good concept on a real life social issue
This movie is a courageous take on a social issue in India. Based on this social subject, how one community people lures other for the purpose of spreading their faith illegally. Filmmaker took a bold step to make this and Let us take a bold step too to watch it. The movie's story is good, acting is excellent but cinematography or screenplay may be weak.
Mithya (2022)
Waste of effort
A copy of BBC hit series and cheap copy it is. Suffers from bad acting performance by Huma adding to woes of badly written (translated) script. Even the superb direction can't save it.
Rashmi Rocket (2021)
Disgruntlement
I don't know why this film has so high ratings .. It definitely is a bad story and third grade performance by Tapsee.. A Movie doesn't have to be legendary that can be watched multiple times but it should be at least watchable.. the main purpose of this movie is to keep the audience bored and frustrated for its length.. and RR does that irritation .. I hate how She tries to act in these moveis with a handful of disgruntled expressions and yet get some more films...
Maharani (2021)
Bad acting by Huma pulls a good show down
Good direction. Good story line backed by aptly written script. It's slow sometimes to stall you out but still manages to hold up till the very end. Amit sadh has been great as always along with Inaamul and sohum doing best acts. Huma is the only weak link here. She entered cinema with good acting skills but has dwindled away with Leila(worse acting in a badly written show) and this one (maharani) is also very fake. With kind of screen space to her, she could have done a lot better. She could have been replaced with any upcoming theatre artist here.
Flesh (2020)
Acting is third grade
This is a good story, executed in a bad mood. Spoils your mood too over a weekend. Acting by Swara Bhasker hits another low and dialogue delivery is like kamra onstage. You would spit in your muth to hear the ordinary dialogues. Save some time and go for a walk.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)
Boring Mindless Bad acting
A low rating movie. But a big salute to real life hero Gunjan. This movie doesn't deserve a single star. Acting by main charater JK is B grade while Pankaj is at its best. Waste of time and effort. Dharma could not do justice to such a good topic. Theatre release would have fetched a box office flop. Boring, waste of time and pathetic. Pathetic acting by Jaahnavi. She is no actor at all. Concept was good but driven downwards by too much feministic flavour and distorted facts. Bad light thrown on IAF is condenmnable.
Chhapaak (2020)
Bad acting Boring
Boring movie with loose screenplay. Big names like Deepika could have done better in terms of acting. Such a strong topic demanded better storyline and treatment. Direction was average while cinematography was good.
Sacred Games (2018)
Season 2 is worse than c grade movie
Season 1 was good. Slow but still captures your attention and manages to tag along and drive your curiosity with imagination.
Compare season 2 with that and you get a slush jelly with lot or black colour mixed with mud to show beat your hands in air and take a pill to sleep. This is highly disappointing and writer needs some consultation. He should take 'sanyas' to find his own 'satva' and 'nuclear power'.
