I am watching both Korean version and the original American version just for comparison. I have to say I like the Korean version much better. American version is fast paced with tight plot, however, the Korean version is doing a much better job in developing character and connecting with audience emotionally. The performance of whole crew is excellent! Can't wait for the next episode!

It is an incredibly beautiful and sad movie! There are neither many characters nor a lot of dialogues, but I was emotionally gripped from beginning to end. I am amazed how Lee Byung-hun could play every role so perfectly deep and touching.

Maybe it is just me, the combination of history, war, heroism, love, and ultimate sacrifice had such an impact on me. I couldn't get out of the story for days after I watched it. Lee Byung-hun is an amazing actor! In fact, the whole crew including all the lead roles and supporting roles are amazing. The side effect is that after watching this one, nothing else is good enough to watch.

It has it all! The story, the cinematography, the humor and the emotion. Lee Byung Hun's acting is second to none. Hollywood should really focus on his superb acting other than just his body. Yes he is gorgeous to look at :)
