Bit Strange
1 February 2024
The first 40 mins was very strange to watch, it's of it's time period when it was filmed. The dialog and sex scenes were a bit awkward to watch at times. However, it did get interesting in the last half hour, these areas of the storyline have potential. It could be adapted really well into a modern mini series/ film, (with less of the stranger interactions/acting and more development on the relationships between all characters). We see depth in the woman's background but not much for either of the protagonists personalities until the last 15 mins.

I wish more of the story was developed through the writing and cinematography, like perhaps what the servants thought of them, and what resulted of the second love interest.

Why does this exist?
28 January 2023
The pacing of the show is so fast, the characters are way too optimistic and loud you literally can't catch a breath. The main couple are supposed to be the American optimists and the guy being pessimistic for the sake of it. It's clear to see they have no real depth or emotion to the character development, or even any chemistry between them.

The cast could have been way better and include a better range of characters. Some character choices doesn't make any sense to me. They have direct copies of people but then they do not execute the part as well, so there is no point. It's strange they don't include any characters from the 17th century, they had the perfect opening for a Salam which trail character or a depressing pilgrim settler. I also find it strange how none of the characters talk or act like they are from there time.

Idk this just really feels off to me. This just takes away the warm and cosy feel from the UK original with the Horrible history cast and actual humour in the good script writing. But then again, I suppose if you are from the US you might find this mildly humorous and bearable as it resembles the rest of the US media.

Doctor Who (2005–2022)
8/10
I gave it an 8 for old times sake, (it would be a 4-5 for the new Doctor)
27 January 2020
Doctor Who in general is so good, it's perfect for a relaxed adventure through time. ALTHOUGH, the new Doctor just isn't it. It's not brilliant or intresting, the characters no longer have much to contribute, there just there (probrably to be 'inclusive'). It seems to be the same propaganda in every epesode, 'white men and guns are bad', and they really over do the political speeches, it's just boring to watch. I'm dissapointed along with millions of others, so I won't be watching anymore of Jodie Whittaker as Doctor Who. But I will be re-watching every other episode (which are superb) of Doctor who with the brilliant David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Eccleson and Peter Capaldi. (the veiwer ratings also prove my points)

it's so good
27 January 2020
Everything is just fantastic, the actors are splendid (Harry Loyd in paticular), and the plot is easy enough to follow. It shows more unique sides to the Dictor and Martha which makes the veiwers question the characters even more. The concepts and scriptwriting are also wonderfull as this places into the veiwers minds how contrasting our lives are compared to back then. (Spoiler!!(Where boys are still tought to look down upon other sexes and races, and the fact that these boys are made to practice shooting not knowing the horrors to come in 3 years time.))

It's so predictable, it's great

I found after watching the first few epesodes that this became quite adictive, each person plays an essentail role to balence out there lives. This is a very predictable show but still, it was quite fun to watch.

Caused problems
12 May 2019
This stopped me eating peas when I was 4, this also stoped me eating many other foods and caused problems a meal time. Looking back its feels silly that this program caused so much sadness at mealtimes, I was to fussy for my own good as influenced by Lola in the program. Although I do remember enjoying the program like most children, I have lots of memories around this program.
