Two Reasons for Fail
10 October 2020
For some people, this movie was a fail, and I think it fails for two reasons. The big reason being that the character of Grace is not well played. It is a huge part and you just can't get behind it. I can't even like her. The second is that a major character for this story line dies. Who wants to see that? And maybe there is a third reason for not liking this movie so much in who kills him. Does anybody want to see that? The fact that it rehashes some of the old story line is moot. We love the old story line. Love seeing Linda and Arnold and their characters again.

It Was Just OK

I love crime dramas where people have to figure out these complicated scenarios and then manage to pull them off. Where the bad guys are good guys and the good guys are bad guys. It's an amazing cast. I'll watch just about anything with Michael Cane. But was anyone a good guy in this movie? And what about the dog? What happened to him?

Wow, Some People Really Hated This Movie
19 May 2019
I would watch it just for the actors, and I did, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's meant to be fun and it is. It's inspiring. The women look fabulous. Garcia, who I never really liked much, I liked a lot in this movie. This movie says, "You're old, so what? You're not too old to do something fun."

Enjoyable Family Movie

Sure, it's a typical adventure where the children come together to overcome tragedy and save the world, but it's also typically fun. Sam Neill plays an interesting character, but is he good or bad? It's a great volcano origin story.

A Good Thrill Ride
13 May 2019
The acting isn't fabulous, but it's not terrible either. The story line is good, but maybe not put together as well as it could be. The second scene is pretty nebulous. Then, seriously, what mother takes a newborn on vacation into the middle east. Some of the connections are really big jumps. But the action is good and watching a vulnerable, but strong female character kick ass is always fun. There are secondary female characters who kick ass in their own way. In the end it all comes together for a satisfying thrill ride and what's not to love about that.
