Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy: Milan (2021)
From mildly entertaining to grossly political
Who is Stanley Tucci to lecture or interject his opinion into Italian politics with a (very kind and not nearly as boorish) local artisan, who lives and works In Lombardi every day of his life? Does not the local know more? Tucci's opinion gets flown like a virtue-signaling flag; it's beyond arrogant AND ignorant and reeks of Hollywood Elite privilege. In case you forget that this is a CNN production, this episode reminds you of that in a very obtuse and annoyingly American way. It was also rather rude to make someone think you are there to sample their rare cheeses and give them some level of recognition when you really just want to talk politics in between each bite of the food they made just for you. I went into this in hopes that it would be fun, lighthearted, and educational and not to hear a spoiled millionaire saturate it with his political leanings, so really not sure if it's worth my time to continue on.
The View (1997)
Unhinged women with no concept of reality
This show consists of approved messages that lack any intellectual depth, real debate, or emotional maturity, all presented by embittered and crass she-men who, being a product of Hollywood, have no concept of reality with which to base their ranting off of.
Christmas Catch (2018)
Good Trash
Watched this movie while I wrapped gifts- gave me lots of laughs, but pretty sure it wasn't on purpose. The writing is awful, the plot predictable, and I'd say most of the acting is just plain bad. The lead character did a decent job, and at times the woman playing her mother did, too. The "twist" at the end was hilarious and so ridiculous and impossible. Overall, watching this movie is the equivalent of reading one of those teenie-bopper tabloids- it's trash but GOOD trash.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again (2020)
My favorite kind of trash
Bad accents. Horrible writing. Corny antics. Predictable storyline. This is the kind of movie for which you put your brain next to the Elf on a Shelf, have your ditziest gal pals over, and open a couple of bottles of wine. It's just so bad it's good. And yes the "villain" and her minions make this entire production. They are the worst. I want to travel the world with them.
