Grew up watching this and it's really helped build character
9 October 2022
These is truly one the greatest sitcoms in my book. The characters are great. I especially loved Louie, Jim and Latka. They are very strong characters which you can easily get invested in or enjoy watching. The writing is also good, filled with morals and lessons. It's hard to find good writing like this these days. Louie's character in particular is a very interesting and complicated character with many facets. Actually, almost every character is like this. There's nothing simple like a good guy / bad guy. It's truly written with human nature in mind and that not everyone is perfect. The theme song also really sticks with you.

Attention to details and perfectly portraying all the drama that surrounded the rescue makes this movie so good.
8 August 2022
I am Thai and I went through that time with my eyes glued to news channels and reports. Knowing the outcome doesn't effect the experience much at all. That's how good they made this movie. All the details, the sacrifices, the volunteering and the effort portrayed in this movie was just superb. Ron Howard's Apollo 13 comes to mind. We all knew the outcome but damn were we still on the edge of our seats.

Liked it a lot. Reminds me of The Wire
30 April 2022
First episode already promises a lot of layers to the series. Jon Bernthal is very charismatic with his character and you want to take his side although you can't really tell which direction his character is going. The episode did throw a couple of jabs towards a certain political party. I wish it didn't do that. It felt like it wasn't relevant to the story.

Update: This is like The (Woke) Wire.

Singing Tiny Dancer on the Bus
21 September 2021
This pretty much sums it up for me. The scene where they're all back on the bus after a night filled with big arguments, hurt feelings, chaos, drugs and alcohol. When Elton John's Tiny Dancer starts playing and everyone slowly starts to chime along, forgetting every single worry in the world, letting bygones be bygones, that's when you truly feel the impact, the influence of rock n' roll during that era.

Great Creativity, Imagination and Storytelling
13 September 2021
The amount of creativity and imagination that goes into each episode, as well as the vibrant artwork and animations is astonishing. Let alone making it very entertaining, humorous and often times very dramatic.

Entertaining but a bit unrealistic.
13 September 2021
Very entertaining. However, the show does go out of its way to induce smart, witty quotes and bits that are quite unnatural in human conversation but that's probably one of the most entertaining parts of it. If you can overlook how every character is or wants to be a philosopher, then you will find the premises of evil, jealousy, corruption, redemption and vengeance very intriguing.

A story about a beautiful mother
1 September 2021
Wolf Children is a story about a woman making the best out of what life is throwing at her. She'll do anything to protect her children but at the same time make enormous sacrifices to see them happy. The movie is also a wonderful coming of age story for Yuki, the daughter, who grows into a lovely young lady whose character has you caring for her every step of the way.

A Beautiful Story with Characters You'll Love and Think About Constantly
31 August 2021
By far, this is not your typical romantic Japanese anime. Josee, the Tiger and the Fish has a beautiful story about love, loss, sacrifice and hardship. As a bonus, the movie contains some very beautiful scenes and artwork.

Pig (I) (2021)

Beautifully shot. The pig looks exotic.

This is literally about Nic Cage looking for his pig. Nic Cage is toned down to like a 6 on the Nic Cage meter. The movie is quite slow. The cinematography is surprisingly appealing. Of you've ever wanted a unique view of Nic Cage in the world of truffles, this movie is for you I guess.
