The Inheritance (2023)

Gets you hooked!

Just watched the first episode. The characters are getting established and the casting looks really good. Interesting narration with hooks in the right places. Looking forward to the next episode. Acting is really good by this star-studded cast, with the character personalities being brought out brilliantly by the actors in the series. The storyline is interesting, if slightly predictable at the moment. Hopefully there will be some interesting twists and a tidy ending. Would highly recommend watching it at the moment. The direction is good. The proof of the pudding will be in the further narrative.

Dobaaraa (2022)

Gripping for its Genre

The movie is excellent in its genre. After a slow initial start, it grips your attention. A well woven story delivered perfectly by Tapsee Pannu. Not all Indian audiences may be ready for this genre of movie but in the context of the meta-physical world and parallel universe it's the best Indian movie I've seen so far. Well done!

The direction and production is strong. The character actors all deliver well too including the young actors. If you enjoy this genre in western films, you will enjoy this movie. If you aren't looking for a run of the mill Hindi film, and are open to alternate genres, I would highly recommend this film!

It's actually a brave and good movie

It's a good movie and captures different attitudes and aspects of college and society in relation to respecting women.

I nearly did not watch this movie due to the IMDb rating of 6. What a mistake that would have been!

Great and heart-wrenching story telling of an era that wasn't allowed to enter the history books! Great story, impeccable acting and excellent execution! Well done to the whole crew and cast! Thank you.

Jalebi (2018)

Original Bengali film is better directed and better acting

Some stronger actors would have helped and a stronger script. But a good effort by the actors!
